I have 1 question regarding taper brush setting i.e. in my taper brush only 1 end is tapering and other remain blunt.

I created a brush similar to this. The example while creating the brush looked and draws exactly how I want it to work, but when I go to test it on paper space, it doesn't draw the same way. It won't let me have control over the stroke path. Its like the stabilization is as high as it will go and I'm only able to draw straight lines unless i go super slow. Do you know why this happens or how to fix this?
