      Hey Matt
      in text settings in the right corner are the icons of ai and the dynamic inhpuds icon that sometimes cover the text you want to edit. Isn't it possible to have those icons at the bottom, with a little margin so that they stay out of the text itself
      Furthermore, again a very clear view and explanation of yourself about the new interface of Divi5.
      Thanks for that and hopefully when the time comes you will make another beautiful course to build a website with Divi5

      Hi there! Thanks for the kind words and the question. Of course with CSS you can hide any object, but you can also hide the AI button via the settings menu inside of the Divi menu. Go to there and to “user roles” and then on the “admin” user role you can flip a switch which says something like “AI”. Then the icon should be gone 👍🏻.

    Awesome video! Can you do one about conversion of a Divi 4 site to 5. Struggling to get a straight answer from ET. Our understanding is Divi 4 shortcodes are not "converted" really to 5, just made "compatible" with a performance hit. Wondering why a client would convert to Divi 5 then unless it's the only way to get critical updates like security, bug fixes, etc. In essence will Divi 4 people be forced to chance to Divi 5?
    We have a few top tier clients who need site updates and we have been telling them to hold off for 5, not to develop on 4 and then have performance loss or conflicts with 5. But those clients can't wait forever without any solid ETA from ET.
    Also, can you speak to how Divi 4 marketplace plugins work or bomb in Divi 5?
    Thanks.

    • @WPressDoctor
      @WPressDoctor  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Mark and Alison again! Thanks for your good questions. I don't work with Elegant Themes, but what I have seen so far is that existing Divi 4 sites will be 'converted' upon activating Divi 5. That explains the speed change and the fast UI. But I don't know exactly how this will go when its the final release...
      I understand though, I have a lot of clients asking me to build the site in Elementor Pro, because of Divi is just going WAY to slow. I have told Elegant Themes many times, but we are actually losing the war right now to Elementor. And I don't mind, because that is also a great builder, but I do like the lifetime license of Divi 😉.
      About the marketplace, all developers are actively enabled to fix all their plugins for the last months. So there is no excuse why it would not work in Divi 5. If it bombs, the developer just choose to not update it and abandon it. This happens all around the WordPress eco-system, so yeah...
      Have a great day and I wist you all the best with your business!

    • @stiescreativeagency
      @stiescreativeagency 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Getting mixed messages from Elegant about 4 to 5. 4 shortcodes will run in 5 but unless converted they will suffer performance loss. Of course, converting you run the risk of layout and functionality issues especially as an early adopter.
      One MAJOR criticism we have of Elegant is their main focus is always new features. They don't address bugs and quirks so you put in workarounds, primarily through CSS. As they release fixes those workarounds get problematic. So after a few years each client site is full of ducktape workarounds. This is my main concern in converting 4 content to 5, the accumulated workarounds and quirks. We'll see. We applied for a beta testing license and never heard back.

    I like the new divi 5 layout. I hope they update the responsive mode. Because it really sucks in divi 4. I find that a major issue. Same goes for the mobile menu options. Sucks also. Of course there is a workarround. But it has to be in the core builder. Not provided with 3d party options.

      I see this theme Clotya is very popular for online clothes retailers and looks good enough on a screen. @@WPressDoctoryes, i love divi, i use divi engine as well, but elementor has most of the features INBUILT like loops etc.
      Also Elementor has Grid and Flexbox! For people who want to improve and learn in webdesgin its really good to understand the CSS first in a page builder, which is later easily applied to custom css in a website. I only use wordpress/woo for shops.
      I would highly appreciate a elementor pro video :) Right now switching and learning elementor but its going really good since its really intuitive

    DIVI is and will always be garbage. Always needing to use CSS and all kinds of hacks to make it work properly, especially when it comes to responsive design.
