Can't wait to give this one a try. Hope either the Sephora or Macy's at my nearest mall has a sample out. Love the red label, and immediately thought it was going to be a fall/winter fragrance because of the color.

Glad you did a review on this, I was considering a blind-buy because it's not in any local stores. I'm not a fan of leather notes, so I'll stick with my jumbo bottle of the EDT.
Infrared edp is the best spicebomb the rest just smells really sweet
Love your channel and videos man! Got my first spicebomb in the mail today. It was exactly like yours…… had leaked around the top in transit. Against a bright light, I could see I didn’t lose much at all. Did you send yours back for replacement, and was it any better?

Tried this at Ulta and really liked it. DIdn't end up purchasing though for a couple reasons. Obviously the price point is on the higher end for designer ($134+tax for 90ml), also as you pointed out it doesn't feel appropriate for summer...maybe at night but even then this stuff is really warm and spicy with cinnamon, habanero, red chili, pink pepper, and leather. But the biggest thing that held me back here was that i already own Spicebomb Extreme and it seems like all of the SB fragrances seem to fill the same role of a sort of casual evening scent for cooler weather. They're redundant to me for that reason. Curious what you all think

I’ve come looking for this infrared review as Ive just got the sample for edt and sprayed it on liking the smell and also have the parfum sample of Armani code abslou on my wrist. The two together smell awesome and maybe worth a layering of both? Maybe your experience might be able to confirm ?

Sounds like my edt is the right one for me. Glad I got the 150ml for a steal at Nordstrom Rack last year.

Sephora has a 75$ sample bag with a "pick your fragrance" I got the 100ml edp for 75$! Killer deal!
I order a test vial and I loved it.
So the takeaway of this video is the EDP isn't better than the EDT but just different. Got it.

Got the same Leaking problem on my spice bombe extreme bottle
Could you wear this in like 70-80 degree temps? And is this like casual or date night, like evening wear, or Day wear?
70° is no problem but probably not the best in 80 if it’s humid.
I recently bought a 5oz edt and have the same leaking issue... I gues it's likely they have a manufacturing problem. Would the paraffin seal be a viable solution in your opinion?

Your description of the comparison of the EDT and EDP is spot on. I definitely agree that it's not redundant to own both.
The thing is with the EDT, while I really like it, more than one person has told me that I smell like a holiday candle while wearing it. Still, I definitely prefer the EDP.
I've already worn the EDP on skin, very smooth. When smelled close to skin, the leather is more noticeable, but when it's wafting in the air, that peppery vanilla accord is very prominent. I think this thing is going to be a hype-beast in the frag comm once we head back into fall and winter.
EDP seems a lot different to me, way more opulent/buttery and alot less cinnamon spice. Hardly can call it a flanker for me. But I prefer it WAY more than the EDT. I get too many associations with cinnamon candy with EDT which I’m not a huge fan of, but some people I’m sure would love that.
I had the exact same thing happen when i ordered spicebomb extreme, it leaked in the exact same spot and it melted the tag.
Same here with multiple Spicebombs. V&R have quality control issues for sure.

To be honest the OG is the best it has the most notes and blend to perfection the OG has everything in one!
These Spicebomb flankers are nice and fun, but to me the OG still remains the best one

I was considering picking it up but I feel Extreme is enough. The OG does smell great though I do admit. Not as spicy, somewhat fresh and longevity should be ok.

I purchased night vision edp from victor and rolf when it came out and it had leaked. They sent me a replacement and I got to keep the other one.
Night Vision EDP is awesome. I copped a bottle too. I’m thinking about gunning for Infrared also 👍

The leaking issue happened with my spicebomb extreme that I got from fragrancex
Happened with my night vision edp also, actually the whole top plastic piece popped off of it.
I got the EDT in a carded sample, knowing how powerful spicebomb extreme is, I was shocked how weak the projection was. Took half the sample to get enough projection to get wafts of it. Very disappointing.

I once had a bottle of La Nuit de l'homme leak. I was new to the fragrance game and To be honest I thought it hadn't happened to anyone else before. 🤷

Every Viktor & Rolf I've bought has come leaking. I don't understand.
Well the release of this EDP explains why I was able to get a 5oz bottle of the EDT from Nordstrom Rack for 80 bucks a few months back! I really like the EDT, so will stick with that one. 🤘

Got mine today at Ulta and it's leaking.
Just tried it yesterday here in the Netherlands and it’s amazing! I’m gonna wait untill Autumn to pick up this bad boy.
As for the 90ml instead of the 100ml. I think it has something to do with the 100ml liquids being the maximum what you are allowed to in you hand luggage.
I remember years ago having my Paco Rabanne Black XS being a problem at security.
in Denmark we´re allowed 100 ml bottles in the travle bag

Guys need help to decide spicebomb extreme or Mancera red tobacco for winter fragrance (I know its not winter now but just to see what should I get if I see it on discounters)?
Probably just grab both, their both great scents, red tobacco’s decently stronger with a sweet tobacco scent vs SB extreme is smoother with a darker tobacco scent
Depends on your taste. Spicy vanilla or spicy tobacco. Both are Beastly on my skin. Start with Spicebomb Extreme, but get both.
Mancera red tobacco is a great fragrance. I would buy this over spicebomb extreme. I like both but Mancera is 100 times better
Red Tobacco is a difficult scent if you aren’t used to oriental fragrances. I would get Spicebomb Extreme.
Spicebomb is a way better crowd pleaser and way less harsh smelling than red tobacco. Both have beast mode performance but I’d recommend you play it safe with spicebomb since it’s pretty much a guarantee you and others will like it
I bought a bottle of Spicebomb Extreme two weeks ago from sephora and had the same issue with the bottle so I'm assuming this isn't a one off problem.

Why didn't you wait until Macy's has its next 15% off sale. That would take the price down to $115. If one of the cashback sites offers 15% back on a Macy's purchase, that would bring the net cost down to $98.

Wore this all week. Pros and cons. The opening underwhelming drydown is great. Performance and projection could be better. However different enough to merit a purchase.
Nothing will beat the original formulation batch of spicebomb bug with Ifra it's unlikely we will get that quality again ✨️

I like it alot, just as all the other bombs, got them all in my collection. And no leaks here on the bottle, but was shipped from the neighbors not far, from the netherlands to belgium😉

I don't understand why companies release new products when they arnt right for the current or even the up coming seasons to use them. Why would I buy something that is going to sit for a while?
Let it mascerate....don't complain. You have in time for when the season arrives, that's how I see it.

You'd figure that they would release a product when it would get the most hype and usability. Let's be realmyou can use the mega hot fragrances even in spring
@@dickfitzwelliner2807 There’s also the fact that the average consumer isn’t concerned about seasons. Aside from yearly limited edition flankers like Light Blue and CK Summer, brands don’t release fragrances according to the time of year.
it actually happens a lot, the same exact thing happened last year when Givenchy released Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée around the same time of the year, it smelled amazing but no one in their right mind would wear that in anything other than fall and winter, and when this was released that was literally the first thing i thought of...
I’ve been waiting for Infrared EDP since I got the Night Vision EDP too. V&K’s EDP versions always smell so much better
With Night Vision, yes. There's no chance this will be better than Infrared EDT though.

@@Alritealritealrite hmm that’s a tough one. From my experience, the EDP won’t stray far from what the original does. Aside from being a sweeter take or milder take on the OG release. I’d say don’t bother unless youve got extra cash to blow. 👍

I have the Original EDT, Extreme EDP, and Infrared EDP, they ALL 3 LEAK, it is a problem with the bottles themselves rather than a bad batch. awful...

If it's leaking, it oxidates the fragrance and since it's alcohol based, it does evaporate, and the longevity of the fragrance takes a significant downturn. Basically, leaking bottle = ruined fragrance.

@@JustysFrank I can agree with SB Extreme not performing how it once did, but it is in no way "weak". Whereas it once was a 12+ hour beast, it's currently formulation in my experience is just above average. I had both Herod and SB Extreme, sold that and kept Herod. I enjoyed the dark natured Tobacco, incense and peach-like osmanthus note. If you're into more spicy scents, Extreme would be better for you.
I have SpiceBomb Extreme and the day I bought it i put it laying down on the passenger seat and it didn't leak. Lucky me.
They all have the leaking problem mine does the exact same thing on not only this version but also the Spice bomb extreme bottle I have as well . Your new bottle might literally have the same problem .

I’ve always wondered why fragrance companies release scents out of season? It perplexes me to no end…
Maybe they found the southern hemisphere preferred their previous fragrances/similar fragrances to the one being released 🤷🏻♂️ I really don’t know either lol

How is the performance of the EDT?
I just had a large bottle of fragrance leak in transit and the juice melted the display a bit. Being a flammable liquid, once a fragrance cannot be sealed properly, it cannot legally be shipped, So I was given a full refund. I do like to keep the packaging, so it’s unfortunate the display was destroyed, however, I do get to keep most of the juice for free.
Something is not wrong with the crimp something is wrong with your mailman lol they hate how many packages they have to send to your house lol.

Infrared EDT is one of my favorite fragrances that I've sampled but haven't bought yet.
Not saying it's my favorite fragrance. I literally mean out of all the ones I've sampled, but haven't bought yet, it's my favorite.
I would advice try it out again before you buy. I tried it out today and not even 2 hours in it was barely noticable.
I liked it I guess but I'll keep the original EDT personally.
Every bottle I have ordered of spice bomb has arrived leaking. All of them and I have extreme and regular in both sizes from different vendors too.
Given the rack of fragrances behind Ash, it makes sense that owning both the Spicebomb Infrared EDT and EDP is NOT redundant. Your mileage may vary.

Swapping Tobacco for leather & woods. Come on Viktor & Rolf. I think they missed the boat by not having vanilla & benzoin in the base of the EDP.
Try it - it's great and different from OG and Extreme. I think you are asking for Extreme's flanker with benzoin and vanilla and that would be super redundant imho. Performance is also much better than EDT.
@@YouOnlyLiveOnce... I'm going to try it. I think vanilla in Infrared would've really complimented the red fruits, chili pepper & cinnamon. It wouldn't have been too similar to Spicebomb Extreme if they did it correctly. The Tobacco is a staple in these fragrances and they took it out.

The original spicebomb will always be the best spicebomb. Much better than the highly acclaimed extreme. Extreme is much too feminine and sweet. The EDT is more masculine and more wearable the any of the red or green ones too

But yes, the original EDT is still the king.
They all f'ing leak, it's annoying. I had Extreme leak and a 2018 EDT leak.
Spray 15 times, machine filled the bottle too much.
Why does Ash still name his videos 1st impressions when they're not?
He is recounting his first impressions
1st impressions sometimes aren't enough to experience a fragrance. As he said, after some time with it, your opinion could be completely different from the initial impression. He does include his first impression and weighs it against his thoughts after a few wears.
It's blatant that these Spicebombs have a high chance if leaking, happened to me also. Yet they keep putting out flankers with the same bottle flaws.... brain dead marketing if you ask me

I get hit immediately with major resemblance’s to PDM Galloway with a slight touch of the new Prada ocean edp. With the slight dusty clean feel of Penhaligons terrible Teddy 🤷🏼♂️ which also to me relates to PDM Galloway.🫶✅ great stuff 👌
Sounds like the EDP is better, guess I'll sniff it out -- I really tried to like the EDT of Infrared - it was too fruity sweet - very off-putting to me
