Not too long ago, the creator of the 'Non-Master of Sport' channel invited me over. More importantly, he's an incredible athlete, a professional volleyball club outside hitter and an expert in physical training for volleyball players - Alexander Pyatov. And Sasha not only welcomed me warmly but was also eager to give a masterclass.
In this video, using me as an example, he'll share his professional secrets to enhance your reception. And if you want to know what else we've prepared for you, make sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss the coolest volleyball content and more. Enjoy watching!

I watched this out of boredom and i can see why some of the best receivers are so good. Such an overlooked aspect of the game, that one touch is so important
Man, this is other level. When I find myself looking for content to improve my volleyball skills I always end up with the same recommendations so I decided to start watching volleyball players content due to its vanguard videos. But in this video I could easily get a bunch of new advice on receiving that I have to watch it again many times analysing it. Thanks bud!!!! By the way, Alexander is a freaking beast!!!
Yes 💯 you keep searching and find a golden nugget. Best video so far in serve receive
Float serves are a lot more common in America so it would be good to see how the pros pass floats aswell
This feels like an insider scoop! Thank you for sharing this experience
This is an amazing video I have been watching videos about volleyball for almost 3 years and their is no other like this one. Very good you will escell if more of these are made.
Really liking this!
Super nice to see you play and have a pro give you tips and help you adjust. A lot to take in and learn here!
I would love more videos like this
Your Communication is amazingly effective. That makes a huge difference to other Trainings.
Thank you, very good Masterclass 🙂
Great volleyball player and great teacher too! Hard to find people with talent on both playing and teaching these days on any area.
incredible stuff as always Nick! those legs look strong for real lol
honestly I don't think the go pro added much...
Nick is massive 💪
💪
i loved the video, was really good, i have a request/question though and that is if you could provide a bit more video on the receiver, not from the first person view but from the side where we can see them move there feet and where there hands are positioned, i don’t want to seem complacent or anything, cause this was very informative
Thank you very much for this wonderful video, looking forward to more in real life content
We've only made a few videos in this collaboration. This is probably the only one that turned out in a proper volleyball training format.
But seeing your interest, I'll try to meet up with him again and film something else!
It'd be nice to see a tutorial about how to receive a floater. IMHO jumping serves are hard just because they can be very strong and therefore tricky to react and control, especially if not on the body.
On the other hand, good floaters are quite hard to bump receive and good technique is needed. This is why nowadays a lot of players use volley to receive them
Can you do the same with float receive.
Is that arena pressurized or inflated or how does it work? I have never seen anything like it.
This is an inflatable arena. I'm not familiar with the manufacturing technology, but I've seen these structures before)
Did you found a club for next season?
Greetings from player from Serbja, following your videos for years
I wasn't actually looking for a club since I'm just an amateur volleyball player. Nowadays, a lot of my time goes into creating content, and whatever free time I have is spent with my family, so there's really no time for clubs.
Can you do the same with float serves?

We also recorded a podcast that will be released on Alexander's channel, but it will be in Russian. I can, of course, dub it into English like this training video, but it will take me a few days.
@@TheBestSideofVolleyball if its not a problem
I didn't actually need to watch this video, but i just like your content - love the vids! ❤
Half of the vid In, pretty good 👍
viva españa
Wow, this video was translated by ai? I seen original vid on Russian
Using AI, I created Sasha's voice track and then edited everything myself. I recorded my own lines without using AI)
Удивлен, что Александр и вы знаете английский
Александра я озвучивал нейросетью. Насколько он хорошо знает английский, я не знаю))
DAME TUS ZAPATILLAS
Maybe when you wear the camera on a helmet, it would not bother you that match. Would look silly though. ;-)
The hassle isn't that the camera's without a helmet, it's having to keep your head straight to keep the video stable 😄
@@TheBestSideofVolleyball you did great! Also nice that you brought a second person so we can see your movement 👍
What a suspended video :D
That is not a rocket science.
Much more valuable would be an advice on how to receive strong float serve by digging hands
