    Thank you for this channel.
I used to dispatch for various law enforcement agencies in MT between 1980 and 1991. I have personal experience that might support dismissal of the idea of any possible accidental loss of interview information.
    1) Information collectedvby officers at a crime scene was retained in a pocket sized spiral notebook. This would include subject info and drawings made by the officer. Officers also were provided cameras for initial crime scene documentation. Photos were entered into evidence along with the officer's hand written notes.
    2) Follow up iterviews were conducted at the station; all visitors were required to sign in/out. The interviews were recorded on cassette.
    3) Myself or another dispatcher were tasked with daily removal of the magnetic recording tape roll from yesterday, and storing it in order next to the previous roll. Every 30 days the first roll of the past month was erased and inserted, to become that day's recording. No tape was ever left to run more than 24 hours, nor were they erased before 30 days.
    4) I was one person tasked with transcribing those conversations, and my work was always subject to court subpoenat, along with any notes I made at the dispatch station.
My point is there is absolutely no excuse for interview records to be "accidentally" lost or destroyed. There are, or should always be failsafes in place.

I understand all of that but i wonder if it was possible to do that in Delphi the first weeks after the murders. They had the one interview room with a recording device and 4 or 5 agencies using it some not even related to the murders but most were for following up leads from tips called in. They got thousands of tips, psychics from you-tube started mass calling 'the knife is in the water' (everything is always in the water no matter what to psychics LOL) I think that if it was a significant loss with the Odinists/Vinlander interviews we would have heard about it from the FBI- they interviewed Fields, Holder, and Westfall and memoralized it in something called scion i think whatever that is. What i am getting at is if there was important to the case info that they learned in the Holder or Westfall interviews the FBI surely would have brought it up to investigators and filled them in more on what was said during those interviews. Alot of people are saying conspiracy but to be that all the police and the FBI would have conspired to delete the videos and not say anything to anyone, not logical at all!

@@samuelhawthorne7728 exactly. The interviews have been transcribed, both sets of attorneys have the documentation of the questions and answers provided by each individual. Besides, if it wasn't evidence it doesn't matter.

The unspent bullet is not strong evidence imo.
Tool marking analysis is very controversial, many experts consider it "junk" science.
It's so controversial that last year Maryland supreme court limited bullet matching testimony and,
a judge in Chicago completely barred the use of bullet matching from a murder trial.
Now, it's considered junk when it's a spent bullet.. it's considered beyond ridiculous when it's unspent.
It's completely subjective just like bite marks.
I've never heard of a single case of someone being convicted of murder with an unspent bullet,
as the main piece of evidence linking them to the crime.
Maybe if it was backed up by DNA, fingerprints and electric evidence to support it, then
it would give it a little bit more credibility but the prosecution doesn't have any of those things to support the unspent bullet.
To consider a confession as true and accurate it needs to meet a few standards for me.
Was the person free at the time or under external pressure, were they being treated well at the time of the confession?
Did they know the crime scene details that only the killers would know.??...
How was the person's health at the time,..were they eating and sleeping etc,??
did they express any concerns about their family around the time after the confessions.
I'm not comfortable with a confession unless it meets those standards,
I care about human rights and fair justice... history reminds us that confessions are not always true..
remember when people confessed to being "witches" .

Supposedly, there was a new recording system put into place before the murders. The alleged problem is that the conversations did not go into a file for saving. The new system kept looping and when full, would start recording over the previous interviews.
Not sure if I believe all of that, but I could see it happening with a new system. I wonder when it was installed and they started to use it. How much info does it hold before it loops? Can it be reset by human to record over previous conversations?

    • @BreakTheCase

I don't see why other early interviews weren't erased. Daniel Pearson, for example. He was at the trails that day so we can assume he was interviewed very early on. We know Brad Holder was interviewed three days after the murders.
Why was Pearson's interview recently given to the Defense but Holder's (and Westfall's) interviews were erased? The accidental erase excuse doesn't fit.

Well, ... We assume that "bridge man" actually WAS "The Guy", .. (OR ONE OF TWO OR MORE), involved in these horrific, gory slayings. While most of us probably believe that the bridge guy was involved, (very reasonably so), ... Things may not be so cut and dry. My personal belief is that it's just not likely for SO MANY reasons, that ONLY ONE person could have had the time to have done this. I absolutely think a few other people are involved. Many of us are assuming that Richard Allen DID the murders. BUT, by following many TH-cam channels that seem reputable, it seems ever more doubtful to me, that he might even be guilty ! Really, .. when have you ever heard of any other murder where ZERO DNA, ... ZERO FINGERPRINTS, ... ZERO evidence from cell phone texts, ... or the suspects online searches, or cellphone location tracking has been COMPLETELY ABSENT ? Damn few, if any. This case is the most bizarre murder case that I can recall in my entire life ! That's because of several extremely suspicious local people in Delphi. ... AND especially the very strong opinions of the FBI, and THREE police detectives formerly involved, that others were linked to the murders. As far as R.A.'s supposed "confessions" to his wife or mother, he may have been coerced by very bad people, (prison guards maybe) to confess lest his own daughter and or wife might be "disappeared" or murdered ! Wouldn't any man terrified for a loved ones safety be likely to confess, even if not guilty? All any reasonable person wants is a totally fair trial, where the judge doesn't let the prosecutors hide exculpatory evidence, and that the judge doesn't disallow testimony or evidence that the defense attorneys put forth as valid. If, somehow a jury convicts Allen, I'm praying that any other people possibly involved are revealed along the way. Otherwise, there is no true final justice. We've all speculated because of all the slew of information or related supposed "facts", on what happened, and exactly where, and when. Maybe the prosecutors are quietly holding some convincing evidence back, to release at the best time. I guess we will all just need to wait for everything to come out.

Odinism- a naturalist ancient mythology turned religion - has been hijacked by the Vinlanders an extremist group that attached themselves to it. The actual pagan/nature based religion is Asatru.
The runes are truly ancient - derived from patterns found in nature and themselves were not intended to hold malignant power. It's low IQ, evil people who make it appear that way. All religions about saviours began as myths. The myth of Odin is fascinating, but that's all it is - a myth of ancient Northern European origin.
Clearly there are those who see the financial benefits attached to starting a new religion (group funding with tax benefits) and it can be used as a smoke screen for other, more nefarious activities. So the ancient myth of Odin is valuable cultural heritage. The people in Delphi appropriating it as a religiin are just evil and not very bright.
Furthermore that video was probably not taken by Libby, but was pre created by the killers and placed on the phone after the abduction - to be found on the phone that was placed underneath a body. Those images were pre planned and made to confuse and throw the investigation off kilter. Look at Abby's feet - they hardly touch the surface of the bridge. It's fudged.
I absolutely agree with Eye of Apophis who analysed the images on his fascinating channel.
The girls were abducted, killed elsewhere, drained of blood and all trace evidence removed (cops involved?) before they were staged in a ritualistic context with runic signs.
We know this cult is active in the prison system, but does it involve police, even judges - how deep does the rot go? That is a very important question that will directly affect the outcome of this trial. Who caused the loss of evidence i.e. the recorded interviews? Why are people like Abby's adult boyfriend and father who is an active Vinlander not under suspicion? Have their alibis been checked? Interviews lost should be reconducted with everyone remotely connected to the girls. I don't think this trial can go ahead fairly without all the evidence available to the defence. It seems this murder is a riddle created by the ancient Delphi Oracle herself.

@@Emeraldcity70 Hi I wish there was one single channel with good answers, but most Ytubers are just as much in the dark as you and I. They're churning over the same pot full of drips and drabs of info because it is a true mystery what happened.
The only reason why I mentioned Eye of Apophis - he was once a high ranking, albeit now retired intelligence official during e.g. Operation Desert Storm. He is an out of the box thinker. He also creatively presents his ideas through carefully selected music that tells the story. His ideas are original, he has both the experience and the depth of knowledge to provide fresh insights. You're in for a treat if his channel is new to you!
I binge watched when I first discovered him. A hidden little gem! He often repeats info, but just bear with him.
Here's the thing - none of us really knows what happened, but the smartest people are bound to take us a step closer or provide a new insight we might've missed. As I mentioned he tells you up front his propositions are speculative, but considering his intelligence background, experience, etc. - I trust his instincts and insights. True Crime Design is great and has been on this case relentlessly from the beginning - so she is one to watch from a journalistic angle.
Other than that, I'm not big into crime stories. I'm more academic and creative. I'll be starting a poetry channel later this year because like Dostoyevsky said: "Beauty will save the world." People who don't ever have beauty or love in their lives become criminals.
Amanda means 'worthy to be loved' - I'm sure you know that anyway. Love and beauty to you both.

I wonder if the round recovered from the scene was matched to the rounds still in his handgun. If he didn’t go shooting, it just might. Then they could get an exact metallurgical match. You can’t tell how tall the BG is. There is nothing in the picture to scale him from. Not to mention you would need to know the angle the camera was filming from. This should be an interesting case.

May sound out there but i have always wondered about Logans trip to the dump that day before the murders happened. The witness sketch of the older man resembles Logan (or Allen) but that other sketch, the adult female witness at the south end of the bridge said she saw a younger man with curly hair and that;s what ended up being the younger guy sketch. So back to Logan, he was friends with Garrett Kirts and Kirts was very familiar with the bridge and Logans property- having almost grown up there. Garrett looked somewhat like the younger man sketch and his girlfriend (also convicted of murder when Kirts was) looks alot like BG, she is Ashley Garth, 26 at the time of her arrest, of Delphi. Back to Ron's dump run that day- the dump he went to is right by the road the lady on the south end said she saw the younger man walking towards the bridge on. I always wondered if Ron dropped Kirts or Garth or someone else off on that road after he went to the dump that day so they could access the bridge from underneath without being seen. There is zero other reason to be on that road for anyone not going to the dump because after the dump it kind of ends up being that dirt road that only goes to the few houses and under the bridge, if i remember right. Kirts has no alibi and was very withdrawn the week after the murders, he said Ashley has seen a video of the murders. He stopped talking though after being arrested out of fear of being killed in prison if people thought he killed abby and libby. Just a thought thats been bugging me for years. Ashley Garth was a drug user that was known to one of the victims relatives as is shown by their old social media accounts.

I understand the defense position is that they are non-specific, and were coerced or volunteered under extreme mental stress/anguish. Unless RA testifies on the stand, I don’t see how a jury can disregard multiple confessions that were recorded.

This video is so inaccurate. Richard Allen did have previous encounters with LE like domestic violence. He once threatened to harm Kathy because of a game of pool at the bar. Kegan kline was also held in prison in protective custody before his trial, as a few other high profile cases in Indiana, BUT no one is concerned about any of their rights. Go look up the numbers yourself. No one was treating Ri k bad in prison. The only thing Rick coukd control was what he did or didn't eat, this contributes to his "controlling" disposition. He refused food but built up a healthy appetite for hos legal paperwork, feces, urine and toilet water. For anyone that has worked in the prison system, this is a common go to when trying to deflect guilt by faking crazy, but just like every other guilty individual that attempts this, the behavior stops as soon as it started when the toddler throwing the tantrum realizes its not getting the wanted reward. The satanic panic can go away, he deliberately staged the crime scene to manipulate attention away from himself and onto others. His wife provided a false alibi, so why lie to begin with if he was so innocent. Wait until everyone's sees the direct evidence they have besides the unspent bullet. He is no victim, but his attorneys are doing a good job at manipulating words. Besides eating his own waste, his suggestion of religion and wanting to give the families a bible contributes to the nail in the coffin of his guilt. They always find God when they have to face the consequences of their actions. If he found god maybe he would actually tell the truth for a change.

  • @alainprostbis
    @alainprostbis 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

no , you missed an important point. R Allen did not approach the police by himself. he did so only after the tipline was established and when law enforcement set a trap releasing a still picture of bridge guy, saying that this man ought to come forward as he could be an important witness. (they let out the fact the picture came from the phone of one of the victims, and the gun and the "guys down the hill!" part).
R Allen obviously recognized himself and arranged an informal meeting with the Police because he was sure everyone else would recognize him for the picture, and he said he was there, he wore the clothes, but he saw nothing. which is not possible as we know from "witness 4" who saw both R Allen on the bridge and the 2 victims going towards the bridge 2 minutes away. he could not not have seen those 2 girls passing him by one the bridge.
so not only did he lie in his testimony, but he did not go spontaneously to the police contrary to what you suggest here. and he never went to the precinct which is one block away from the CVS store where Richard Allen worked.
