A series of videos that i would recomend to watch is bricky's "every faction explained". Leutin doesn't mention that humanity is split into something like 8 different factions within itself
@@atheist101 Who is the best choice? Ive been diving into as much of Bricky's content as possible lately, but if theres something better Id love to know where to find it.
@Duncan_Idaho84 Luetin09 is a good one and the Imperial Iterator is another. Honestly the best way is to just dive into the books. I started with the Horus Heresy, on book 47 now I think. They're all on audible and have good narrators
@@atheist101 hey thanks. I should definitely start getting the books. I’m VERY new to Warhammer, but once the information on what it is started I became fascinated quickly. I’ll look up those content creators. Thanks
There are PLENTY of videos that look at Warhammer with a microscope. The video is called WTF is Warhammer?...its not going to be looking at interpersonal stories since its the most basic information possible so a person new to the lore can get the broad strokes and decide if they want to go further.
Imperium of man in 40k universe spanns through almost all of the Milky Way galaxy. Easiest way to describe it is to imagine 1 million worlds under the rule of one political entity. So, the life of average citizen depends on the planet they live on. There are death worlds, hive worlds (hive is an enormous city-like structure that can hold billions of people), paradise worlds, fortress worlds, forge worlds etc.
There is actually a new faction that came out last year or the year before. Called the Leagues of Votann. Imagine the dwarves from LotR but they are hardcore survivalist aided by incredibly powerful technology and hyper-advanced AI. Also, the Tyranids totally have psykers. The only factions that don’t are the Necrons (they are machines that don’t have souls), the Dark Eldar (that kind of power would be incredibly dangerous to their damned souls) and the Tau (their souls aren’t strong enough to birth psykers).
I would HIGHLY recommend the 40k channel Arbitor Ian; he is the best IMO his; Every WARHAMMER 40,000 FACTION in 20 MINS! | 40k Lore /and/ WARHAMMER 40k TIMELINE IN 20 MINS! From the 21st Century to the 41st Millenium ... are just the best!
there is no real "must start here" point for warhammer lore , there a ton of books(audio books if you have not the time to read yourself) than there are the game itself ( wich includes books again and /or a special app). the nearest thing to how civil live is (at least for a hiveworld) is necromundra wich more or less repressents the slums and sorta lawless parts of human society. fyi books are roughly catigoriced in .: the Horus Heresy , wich play out befor / while and possible short after the Horus heresy in the 30st millennia aka 30k . the current time line wich is marked with the warhammer 40000 logo. Warhammer fantasy wich was the start of warhammer as a whole and a more classic fantasy setting. Age of Sigamar wich is a more modern take on fantasy. and some more subsections of spinoff games . than ofc there source books but those are more made to look and read as it was whriten in universe of its setting.
If you want a book series about more of the day to day in a hive city or something, Varangantua I think is the best. It's the planet that's host to a 40k crime series and Varangantua is more or less average as far as worlds go. But really jist on how the average person lives is you work a 12-16 hour sift, hopefully you don't suffer a work place accident because if you do, then now you're a vagrant, and if you're caught not being sufficiently devote, you might be burned at the stake. There was a quote for the guard I think, it goes something like, "there are trillions of people in the galaxy. No matter what happens, you won't be missed." Mentality about everyone that isn't rich or a space marine really.
Bro you only got 12 subs? Lemme bump that to 13, hold on. Also, check out Weshammer and Arbitor Ian. Weshammer does loads of deep dives in what I believe to be greater frequency than Leutin. And while Arbitor Ian delves into the lore just as the others do, he also sprinkles in meta-historical bits. Like how certain major events were quite different when they were first written up, etc. etc.
When are we getting another video? I'm liking your reaction so far.
Thank you. Part 2 is up now :)

I'll be sure to check that out
Yeah but Bricky gets some things wrong in his videos. Not a huge deal but if someone is looking for lore accuracy Bricky isn't the best choice.

Ooooh very good to know.

The Votann sound cool. Very curious to learn about them. And I'm surprised the tyranids can have psykers.

Sounds like something I'll check out soon. Thanks!
