I'm in my early 40's and have never been into Beyblades. The Reddit community was suggested to me via Reddit home page and I decided to check it out. I agree that X being new sounds like a perfect entry point to get into collecting. I'm not sure if there are events in my area, but I don't know if I'll ever get into the hobby to that extent. One thing that was putting me off from starting the hobby is my age. I didn't want anyone to think of me as a creep for having a hobby that's more aimed at kids. But seeing this video and reading the comments makes me realize that Beyblades is for everyone. I'm ready to drop into the Beyblade hobby head first!
Do it man! It’s really becoming one of the first truly all ages welcome hobbies, it’s great. People can judge from the outside but everyone at my locals seems to be having a great time, no matter their profile

Of course, Beyblade is now evolving to a gear sport,and I will say that the vast majority of the public that Beyblade have are adults, and of course, the developers know that, that is why Beyblade will host official tournaments for over 18 years old
I started playing beyblade when I was 7 years old in the metal fight era and now I just turned 18 and I must say I still find the hobby quite fun and intriguing. While yes as you get older finding people your age is harder for the hobby it still doesn't take the fun out of it for me, being able to try out different things with the customizations and the memories I make playing the hobby are all I need to have a fun time.

As someone who's only just getting back into Beyblade at 24 after an 8 year break, I feel ya. Great video. I’m 40 Something! This Vid actually describes my approach to becoming a blader. You’re not to old for Beyblade. I learned along the way and became pretty good. I mostly try to teach the youth Bladers at each tournament I attend so they don’t have a hard time evolving. You should be just fine and have loads of fun.
I LITERALLY did everything you talked about today. I am 31 and found beyblade tiktoks, found youtube videos, had a nostalgia rush for the plastic series I grew up with, impulsively ordered X beys and a stadium and now I have my older brother and my wife into it. I'm in my 30s now and I grew up with Takao (Tyson) and the BBA (Bladebreakers), although I never watched V-Force and anything after that, so basically my last encounter with Beys was elementary school. I'm really surprised and amused when I saw Beyblade X in my social media, like there are a lot of adults playing and the gameplay is more intense. I recently bought the Driger and the Dranzer from the X-Over Series for collection purposes only, but watching more videos of people Beyblading again makes me want to try the newer models to battle.
Im 25. And I bought all of wave 1 and half of wave 2 of Hasbros release because my local card game store held a tournament and was selling the soar Phoenix set. Ive learned so much about beyblade x both competitively and casually including from all of your videos.
As an 18 year old, beyblade X has brought me back into beyblade as it’s been more fun to play than any other gen because of its intense battles. I grew up with the metal series, but ever since it ended I’d thought we’d never see Metal contact return. Beyblade for Life!
My son ask me for a beyblade in the beginning of 2020. So I started to read and watch videos about it to decide what to buy and fell in love by the hobby. Now, my son lost his interest and I keep going as a 52 years old collector. In my home, beyblade is now dad’s toys.

I was a huge fan of the OG series back in the day. Metal Fight just kinda disappeared from my country when the availability kept getting worse BUT I re-discovered Beyblade a couple years ago through TH-cam. I hopped into the last third of Burst, ordered some from Japan and I'm current 27. I've had a tremendous amount of fun discovering what I thought was basically lost to the sands of time. Beyblade Burst was fun but it would've helped if I got into it earlier than the beginning of Sparking. Beyblade X on the other hand feels early, but refined and fun. Welcome to the hobby! I’m 32, just had my first baby a couple days ago, and yesterday I just got the new beyblade x 4 bey set and new stadium. I thought part of it is I’m just excited to be a dad and now have a reason play with toys again , or I’m regressing then I realized it’s just too damn cool what they have become. I spent 220$ for beyblades. The last beyblade I had was in elementary .Although I play alone at the moment I can see this growing and being something k genuinely like . No regrets and I’m excited for more to come.

Being happy my own way, with the hobbies I truly do enjoy. It’s just that it has evolved like you said, made for a much older demographic. I’ve just gotten my 2 brothers who were raised on the computer to enjoy these “toys”. Makes me feel like I’m back in the 90s a little bit and it makes me happy to have had these growing up.
tournaments have mostly people in their teens and 20's (at least for metal fight and x) ive been in the competetive beyblade scene for about 2 years now and its been a blast. if youre interested in seeing what tournaments are like, i have a vid on my channel abt it. have fun on your beyblade journey, you'll learn a lot.

I'm in my 30's and I have a friend in 40's and I like it. Most people tournaments are younger kids. But there are adults who would like to have tournaments.
It's been fantastic to see so many comments from people that are in similar age ranges, I definitely hope it only continues to grow for all age groups and we see more tournaments. So glad that you've been enjoying it, and hope that only continues!
I’m coming to this video after watching many of the others and I had the same thoughts about my age and until I found your channel and it made everything feel great being able to relate to someone in this experience coming in fresh
My brother and i got into beyblades during the first generation. I developed as the pokemon community refers to as a "genwunner" mindset. I absolutely disregarded anything beyblade after the original series ended. Now with the release of Beyblade X, i have never been more excited to jump back into the beyblade scene. Never thought i would be here in my 30s, beyblading with my daughter and it has been so much fun.
I'm 31 and I have a lot of Beyblade tops from Burst and a few from the new generation (X). I was a fan when I was a kid, but I donated a lot of my collection when I had to move from California to Washington state. I'm hoping that with this new generation, I can compete with others and maybe host some events when the time comes.

Nice videos. ❤ I'm 35yo and I played beyblade with the Plastic-Gen. This new series of bey seems very strategic and more fun. In my mind the adulthood need more simple games (and toys) to make them play but remember, "simple" are not "easy" and a simple game can be hard to masterade or hard to play in a strategic way. Simple rule, short time needed to play but a huge strategic path to take for make the play a good play.
I'm in my 30 and just ordered my first beyblades today. I've never watched the show or played with them before this. Some friends was telling me about it and how there was a tournament for it and I thought it sounded fun to try. Also I saw the hello kitty collaboration one and fell in love with it 😍

I just graduated uni and while chilling with my roommates one night i randomly got the urge to buy a metal fight bey i never had. A hundred bucks and three months later and im back in the nostalgia hole 😂 ! Im excited for beyblade x and i know my inner child is happy.

I dont believe in the whole "growing out of things" it's just social pressure from peers or family to focus on education or more "grown-up things" - if it's a hobby, its made to enjoy regardless of age :)
Dude this entire video made me smile!! I am 32 and grew up with generation one in 2000 with no money as i was only 10 so I could not indulge in buying all the beys i want. Then generation 2 came out i was 20 and learned from my baby cousins about it. I bought everybting ! Theb burst came out and was a let down. But now this.. Beyblade X i am hoping they remake all the genration 1 beys so i cam compete with them .howfully they have it in NZ

I just turned 23 and got back into beyblades a while ago thanks to a cousin of mine. I've played with them as a kid but only now as an adult I understand how deep this hobby really goes and I love it
i just reentered into beyblade half year ago,still rebuilding the collection from my childhood aka Metal Fight Gen.Sadly most stuffs i ve got are seems midfakes but i did kucky to find a few Geniune beys like Storm Pegasis,PHW Aquario and 1st mold PHW Libra! The moment of getting both Libras is the most joyful for me cuz i was never got one in my chilhood but a UNIQLO T shirt! and Libra is my zodiac sign!
If only it was more available and popular in Poland I might've played with it a bit more. As for now, it's just a nostalgia trip for me. I am glad that I still have a few, slightly damaged, old plastic beyblades to play with my kids. Hope they love as much as I did back in the day.
I started when im in 5th grade, andy first beyblade is a bootleg, the fake one. Hehehe... But now Im back on it, wanting to have more of the original one. Especially takara tomy line. Im into hobbies to like gunpla and some figures and building kits. But now im really into beyblade x. Got some raw videos to edit for beyblade x beys.
I can totally see there being crossover between gunpla and other building kits, the customizing aspect of combining parts to build the beyblade you want is appealing.
I'm 41 years old and still playing with toys! Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed though. It's not something I tell everyone. I'd feel absolutely silly if some of the people I work with know I have a tamagotchi on pre-order on amazon for instance haha.

Beyblade is like card games n stuff like that. You’ve seen all ages play and appreciate. I think a lot of the older fans have matured a lot and with beyblade too so that factors in. As for new people it might take convincing . It’s more than card games tho because it’s more physical than a card and outcomes vary .
Comparing it to card games definitely feels fitting in that way, and definitely glad that it's been something people have been able to continue to enjoy, and I'm hoping TT are going to continue to try and market to all ages

I'm watch Beyblade first series when they coming to toy I bought but left for couple of years .... Now series X woke my up an I play with my all family including mum of my twins 😅I spend a lot try by every bey fake or original, I create my own stadium from satelite dish. If someone knew what's going on and not be ,, inside grampy'' or shame to play a toy understand.
Age 25 I developed a beyblade interest but i didn’t have interest prior till i found out the Japanese beys are actually way better then hasbro. Danger excitement mystery!!
It's cool that there's different generations that still can be enjoyed and have event support for so even if you don't like a current generation you can still find support for previous ones.

Im a child, but still. In 2016 ifor some local beyblades but then i completly forgot about it, then in 2022 i found it again and never looked back

@@BeybladeJourney thank you. you know that makes sense, no people to judge you and being married I’m not always trying so hard to be someone I’m not. Being happy my own way, with the hobbies I truly do enjoy. It’s just that it has evolved like you said, made for a much older demographic. I’ve just gotten my 2 brothers who were raised on the computer to enjoy these “toys”. Makes me feel like I’m back in the 90s a little bit and it makes me happy to have had these growing up.

tournaments have mostly people in their teens and 20's (at least for metal fight and x) ive been in the competetive beyblade scene for about 2 years now and its been a blast. if youre interested in seeing what tournaments are like, i have a vid on my channel abt it. have fun on your beyblade journey, you'll learn a lot.

Welcome to the beyblade community. You're going to have a lot of fun ✌ I compete and have a team and i'm 28 years old, just came 4th in a tourney with Zankye a couple weeks ago. Beyblade is honestly super great you'll meet lots of awesome people and it truly is competitive.
Thank you for the welcome :) That's awesome that you have a team, I was wondering if the competitive scene was deep enough to see teams form to practice and improve. I know there are team events, but wasn't sure if they were more like people grouping up day of or people having static teams.
I cab certainly say that beyblade is for everyone no matter how old you are beyblade will always still be fun

I'm in my 30's and I have a friend in 40's and I like it. Most people tournaments are younger kids. But there are adults who would like to have tournaments.
It's been fantastic to see so many comments from people that are in similar age ranges, I definitely hope it only continues to grow for all age groups and we see more tournaments. So glad that you've been enjoying it, and hope that only continues!

My brother and i got into beyblades during the first generation. I developed as the pokemon community refers to as a "genwunner" mindset. I absolutely disregarded anything beyblade after the original series ended. Now with the release of Beyblade X, i have never been more excited to jump back into the beyblade scene. Never thought i would be here in my 30s, beyblading with my daughter and it has been so much fun.
I'm 31 and I have a lot of Beyblade tops from Burst and a few from the new generation (X). I was a fan when I was a kid, but I donated a lot of my collection when I had to move from California to Washington state. I'm hoping that with this new generation, I can compete with others and maybe host some events when the time comes.

I'm 35yo and I played beyblade with the Plastic-Gen. This new series of bey seems very strategic and more fun.
In my mind the adulthood need more simple games (and toys) to make them play but remember, "simple" are not "easy" and a simple game can be hard to masterade or hard to play in a strategic way.
Simple rule, short time needed to play but a huge strategic path to take for make the play a good play.
I'm in my 30 and just ordered my first beyblades today. I've never watched the show or played with them before this. Some friends was telling me about it and how there was a tournament for it and I thought it sounded fun to try. Also I saw the hello kitty collaboration one and fell in love with it 😍

I dont believe in the whole "growing out of things" it's just social pressure from peers or family to focus on education or more "grown-up things" - if it's a hobby, its made to enjoy regardless of age :)
There's definitely a social element to it that pushes people to move away from things they enjoy, totally agree

I am 32 and grew up with generation one in 2000 with no money as i was only 10 so I could not indulge in buying all the beys i want.
Then generation 2 came out i was 20 and learned from my baby cousins about it. I bought everybting !
Theb burst came out and was a let down.
But now this.. Beyblade X i am hoping they remake all the genration 1 beys so i cam compete with them

I just turned 23 and got back into beyblades a while ago thanks to a cousin of mine. I've played with them as a kid but only now as an adult I understand how deep this hobby really goes and I love it

i just reentered into beyblade half year ago,still rebuilding the collection from my childhood aka Metal Fight Gen.Sadly most stuffs i ve got are seems midfakes but i did kucky to find a few Geniune beys like Storm Pegasis,PHW Aquario and 1st mold PHW Libra! The moment of getting both Libras is the most joyful for me cuz i was never got one in my chilhood but a UNIQLO T shirt! and Libra is my zodiac sign!

If only it was more available and popular in Poland I might've played with it a bit more. As for now, it's just a nostalgia trip for me. I am glad that I still have a few, slightly damaged, old plastic beyblades to play with my kids. Hope they love as much as I did back in the day.

I started when im in 5th grade, andy first beyblade is a bootleg, the fake one. Hehehe... But now Im back on it, wanting to have more of the original one. Especially takara tomy line. Im into hobbies to like gunpla and some figures and building kits. But now im really into beyblade x. Got some raw videos to edit for beyblade x beys.
I can totally see there being crossover between gunpla and other building kits, the customizing aspect of combining parts to build the beyblade you want is appealing.
I'm 41 years old and still playing with toys!
Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed though. It's not something I tell everyone. I'd feel absolutely silly if some of the people I work with know I have a tamagotchi on pre-order on amazon for instance haha.
I’m 24, almost 25 and I FINALLY have the money to buy my own TakaraTomy beys and after having to skip out on burst, I feel great about getting into X!

That's one of the cool things as well, there's still support for previous generations as well and people wanting to play with them
Beyblade is like card games n stuff like that. You’ve seen all ages play and appreciate. I think a lot of the older fans have matured a lot and with beyblade too so that factors in. As for new people it might take convincing . It’s more than card games tho because it’s more physical than a card and outcomes vary .
Comparing it to card games definitely feels fitting in that way, and definitely glad that it's been something people have been able to continue to enjoy, and I'm hoping TT are going to continue to try and market to all ages
the great thing about this genration/ beyblade x is that it's more trageted to an older people
I definitely appreciate that they're aiming for more of an all ages style with this generation

Thank you so much! And I got my stadium from Beys and Bricks, so far I've been ordering everything from them. They do free shipping on pre orders, but charge a little more for pre orders, so it kind of balances out

I'm watch Beyblade first series when they coming to toy I bought but left for couple of years .... Now series X woke my up an I play with my all family including mum of my twins 😅I spend a lot try by every bey fake or original, I create my own stadium from satelite dish. If someone knew what's going on and not be ,, inside grampy'' or shame to play a toy understand.

I like the ideia of beyblade X but i still prefer the burst! Bey X looks so visually simple and ugly!
It's cool that there's different generations that still can be enjoyed and have event support for so even if you don't like a current generation you can still find support for previous ones.
