    Setting 5 is calibration of voltage. It says not to enter this menu unless you have over 12v or exactly 12v on the input. Not sure which as it worded odd. Menu 6 is temp sensor if equipped on or off

      Manual says it needs an exact 20,0V power for this. Setting 6 is for "all settings are subject to the last save"

    Does it store your settings when disconnected from the power source? I would like to leave the cable attached to a LiFePO4 battery and just plug it into the Supnova device for a few seconds to see what state of charge the battery is in, rather than leaving it permanently plugged in.

    • @SoGenFan
      @SoGenFan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it does. That is how I used it with my Bluetti.

    Hi,
    Great video!
    For me it seems that I can only measure the percentage by the preset settings in menu 1. I have set L 06, but I would rather like to measure from my custom low and high voltage settings in Menu 3.
    But no matter what values I use in Menu 3, it does not calculate differently - indicating that the percentage comes solely from the presets in menu 1. How do you switch between using the custom settings and and the presets?
    Thanks,
    Anders

      I've had this happen as well. Try disconnecting it from power, then try it again. Go into the custom menu, change something and press and hold set.
      Don't go back into menu 1, as you noted that will become the default.

      I wrote my own instructions once i figured it out. Last comment on step 3 should help
      - hold M to enter setup
      - hit M to select setup menu (1-7)
      - hold M to exit setup and save settings
      1 - battery type setup. Lead acid battery(P), Lithium battery (L), Fe battery(F)
      2 - display time setup. time and on/off
      3 - manually setup high and low voltage (ignoring predefined type set by setting 1). Default settings 10.0 and 20.0. Use M to adjust digit. Use Power to select the adjusting digit. Long hold Power to save the setting.
      4 - low voltage alarm
      5 - calibration mode
      6 - show temperature
      7 - high voltage alarm

    Thanks. I recently ordered 2, for DIY Li-Ion battery boxes. They came with zero user instructions, & Ebay seller wouldn't assist.
    Even though the firmware is different (same brand, & look), with modified screens, I was able to understand (from this video) what the screen, with '000 000' meant. And the profiles were. Cheers.

      @@SoGenFan Did you have to mod the cable going into the Bluetti? Do you have a vid on that? Thanks 😊

    • @SoGenFan
      @SoGenFan  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I can make a video, but it is really simple. Just buy any standard 5521 cable and cut it, then strip the wires. Then connect it to the SUPNOVA wires

    I forgot to ask you, are the percentages set at 5% increments or can you adjust them to 1%?

    • @SoGenFan
      @SoGenFan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In our case, they are (if you had a wider voltage range, you would get more precision).
      But you can still see the true percent, because the display will flip back and forth in between numbers. For example, if it flips between 50 and 55 in an equal manner, it is actually 52.5%
      If it flips once every 5 or 10 seconds it is only 1 percent lower, like 54%
      If it doesn't flip at all, then its showing the exact % at the time.

      by mistake I got into the 5 option "auto calibration"... it never worked right since then.
      couple of nights after, drunk, I fixed it.
      now I did it again... but I can not remember how I did it.
