But am not saying its good to use 3rd-party software, its just that depending on what workstation is gonna use for. Seems almost standard for gaming streamer setups these days, including in Hololive. There have been quite a few 4090s spotted already. When Cyberpunk Overdrive was released, I first thought of maybe upgrading from 3060Ti to 4080 or a 7900 XTX... but at that point, the budget is already so massive that you may as well go all the way (and sorry AMD, but path tracing and DLSS3 are quite the argument for serious high end). So I ended up with a 4090 as well. An i7 is relatively affordable in comparison, but honestly I don't see what anyone would need it for. Games are so insanely GPU bottlenecked that even an i5-11600K (so the middle-class GPU from two generations ago) will actually run under a lower load than a 4090 at 1440p in most games. There is hardly a game where you can't get >200 FPS on that.

It means Fauna is insanely up to date with her PC build. She has like a ~$500 CPU and a ~$1,500 GPU. Plus, she's using a 4K resolution monitor. It's an expensive and power hungry setup, this could be around $5,000 worth of stuff. Lol

Oh poor Fauna. You'll fill that 6 TB faster than you think. I've got 6 TB on my main rig and it fills quickly (darn switch game dumps take up near a TB alone). But on top of that I have about 25 TB of stuff on a file server (I do lots of VMs and rip my Bluray collection, it adds up).

Did minecraft ever fix that issue where it wouldn't allocate more than like 2 gigs of ram to minecraft regardless of how much is available without manually telling it to use more? If so then you can beef your pc completely and it will still lag since Minecraft is really ram dependent.
13900k is comparable to 7950x3d in terms of gaming and productivity. It loses when it comes to power efficiency though. But I guess she doesnt have to worry about that ;) 7950x3d requires some knowledge to change ccd usage settings - only 1 has extra cache. 7800x3d doesnt require that, it is cheaper and slightly better for gaming but it's "only" 8 cores so it may not be the best option for vtuber streaming. Overall 13900k is a safe option.
Intel has far better stability and less issues. The 13900k is the best overall CPU but the 7950x3D is pretty good too. For someone like Fauna the 13900k is absolutely the better choice.
To put it gently… why does she have have a 4090 outputting less fps than she has threads in her cpu? what monitor is she using? I got a 4070, and even with a taxing shader i can get Minecraft up to 300 fps granted, the server i tested that on was limited to 12 chunks of render distance, but still, 60’s kinda sad to look at then the 32gb of ram? if you’re going all out, at least get 64

Everything is powered by a be quiet Straight Power 11 750w, the CPU is cooled by a be quiet Dark Rock 4+ Alphacool Apex thermal paste and the Case is a be quiet Silent Base 600 with silver accents and three silent wings 2 as well as one silent wings 3 fan. PS: I never said my computer was better, although I wouldn't trade it for Faunas new one in my wildest dreams, god now's what secretes lie deep down in the spec sheet of that thing.

The first thing I always do is uninstall Norton or Mcafee when getting a prebuilt. Those programs are worse than viruses. One drive is also horrible.

I've read that W12 is going to be released in 2024-2025 so we can just skip W11. However, W12 may be even worse.

Win11 is fine, the upgrade from 10 was seamless. Only weird thing is the right-click menu for copy paste delete etc. changed and takes adjusting to.
