    For Van living, sometimes you need to bring your whole kitchen with you. Being able to make smoothies and use your Vitamix blender 5200 model# VM0102D can really make life on the road easy. Here I test the limits of the Rockpals 300 watt portable lithium generator by powering a Vitamix 5200 blender at varying speeds. Based on this test, you could probably run a Vitamix blender at full speed for around thirty minutes before depleting the rockpals lithium 300 watt hour battery. Plug this into some solar panels on your roof, and you would last a bit longer - but who needs to blend for 30 mins straight? 🤠

    You need to try it with something in the blender.

      What difference does that make??

      Without a load there is little resistance, it's like if you pedal a bike hooked up to a motor you actually make power this is like spinning a motor with nothing pushing against it so it's only spinning a blade and making some heat which is why the power draw is so little out of a 1500 watt blender. Btw I used this on my 1000 watt inverter and it only worked sometimes and not very good. I'm sure you need 1500 watts or more FYI. There is a video in this search where the guy blends ice and uses the plunger, when he plunges the amps spike almost double cause the extra power the motor is using.

    Excellent. High density nutrition smoothies in a van build is luxury.

      Gosh, I see it as a necessity not luxury. But that is just me. Do you make them in your van? What kind of solar power system do you have?

    A little fyi you need a decent size inverter for this when there is stuff in the blender it uses more power. There is no load on the motor. My 1000 watt inverter only worked sometimes.

    Thanks for testing. I have this Vitamix, but no solar generator yet. I think making hot soup takes 6-7 minutes. Then 30 seconds to clean it.

    How's it going using the vitamix in ur van? That's literally my only concern about vanlife, my smoothies.

      @@angelab.804 Hi Angela. Did you get a solar power bank/ generator. I guess they're called different things. I'm just wondering how you're doing with this. Have you started van life yet? Washington state where you located.

      I've used a Vitamix in my camper van with my 1000 watt inverter and it wasn't quite enough to run it consistently, when it worked it wasn't quite the power it usually has. If you put a lot in the blender it would not work and it seemed like I broke the Vitamix (which I didn't) same or very similar model to this one. Also didn't work on high speed.

    I've been wondering about the personal size vitamix. Have you heard how powerful it is compared to the normal one? Would take up less space.

    You need a load on and flip to high. Back to the test bench dude.

    • @2visiondigital
      @2visiondigital ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to negative but he missed the point! The surge of a full load on high is the test. Not sure a 300 wh unit can do it, so this told me nothing.

    Hi. You can't see the readouts that you're talking about. The cameras too far away. Wondering what kind of solar power station would be good for me to get for a Vitamix and a juicer. They obviously wouldn't rent the same. time

    • @redtigerger3585
      @redtigerger3585 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Vitamix is 1500 watt blender, so make sure you have a battery that can discharge like 150 amps at 12v plus you need to make sure your cables are thick enough to handle that amperage. A decent 1500 watt or more inverter. It shouldn't use much amp hours as long as you just run it for a short periods of time. My 1000 watt inverter would not run a Vitamix.

    Thank you for the video. I'm confused tho, bc the title of this says solar powered, but you didn't show the solar. I'm not sure how the solar hooks up, and how long it takes for the solar to work to charge the generator? How much solar is needed Etc also you didn't say the price for the whole set up. Could you say why you chose this generator over others? Are they all the same pretty much?

    The nutri ninja auto iq 1000 watt system will also work?

    • @redtigerger3585
      @redtigerger3585 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably with a decent 1000 watt inverter with the right cables and battery that can put out the power
