If you don't have a percentage readout on your scales you will want to use a 20 to1 ratio by weight. Also don't even think about using a flash if you are printing lined jackets. Thanks for this video Ryan. You always make everything look so easy
Great vid, thanks! It's a bummer to hear that the ink won't stick to waterproofed jackets (you recommended taking off the waterproofing so the ink would stick). It would be SO cool if an ink would lay on TOP of top of the line waterproofed apparel. I'm still searching for ways to personalize otherwise blocky solid color ski jackets without ruining the jacket....
Cinderella Strong we may have a video on canvas bags already. If printing on nylon bags you will want to use the same ink used in the video. Water based will not work.
We have a Riley Hopkins and use the same hold down on our press...but we can't get the screens up high enough to not sit on the hold down and seat in the gate...regardless of how high we set the scene clamp/off contact. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately, you can't if you're trying to restore an existing print. You can try to paint plastisol ink with the nylon catalyst added, but there's no guarantee that it'll work.
+Pedrator asshell Ryan mentions in the video the International Coatings 900 nylon ink with catalyst. Check out the ink here: www.screenprinting.com/ic-900-series-white-nylon-5-gallon and the catalyst here: www.screenprinting.com/ic-900-series-catalyst-2-ounce-bottle

+Sam Canales That appears to be the case, yes. Give our support line a call and one of our team members may be able to source smaller quantities for you. 800-314-6390

Hi, would this process work for pvc vinyl material? thanks again for this video!
Another great video. Will you do a video for printing canvas totes? Is water based ink an appropriate choice when printing nylon drawstring bags?
Cinderella Strong we may have a video on canvas bags already. If printing on nylon bags you will want to use the same ink used in the video. Water based will not work.
Thanks mate. How do I get the thick catalyst for HD screen print?
Hi @Hot Chili Fashion! Are you looking for a thickener for the ink?... or cap film for the tick deposit?
@@Ryonet hi. We are using Epic Sharp on synthetic. When we add 10% catalyst the mixture is too “runny”. The Sharp loses it thick consistency to do HD.

Shecki Yes, you can put a shim under your screen in the bottom of the screen clamp, like a paint stick or something like that - R
I'm trying to restore a screen print on a nylon vintage jacket. Hoe can I do it? Do you have any videos tutorials on that?
Unfortunately, you can't if you're trying to restore an existing print. You can try to paint plastisol ink with the nylon catalyst added, but there's no guarantee that it'll work.

Yes
Is it possible to take the print off of a nylon jacket?
+Liliana Chacon It is very hard due to the material being delicate,
is there anyway to cure the nylon jacket without the cure?
You will need an additive to make the ink bond with the nylon; unless it's a specified nylon ink.
Thank you
Has anyone figured out how to print on a down puffer coat?
Transfers. It's super difficult to lay the puffy sections flat enough to screen print.
