    Brave men and women. I never got to work with them as the tours that I did was three in west Belfast and one in Londonderry

    I think that islamic integralism will force UK to adopt a "part time defence regiment" even in other regions of the Country. UDR was very effective in limiting the rampaging terrorism, far more than regular troops , who cannot know that land and that people as UDR - and previously the B Specials- did

      Grow up you fool.
      I’m mixed race to a Muslim father and Christian mother,both me and my brother served in the province on many occasions,we gave a combined 41 years of proud service to the British army being born and raised in England.
      Even serving alongside the UDR and infact making some great friends who I’m still in contact with 30 years later.
      I have one question for you sir,did you ever serve?
