I feel only the early days (probably the first few) are surviving. The rest is a casual city-building game for me. I used 256 follower cap mod and built a big city with three layers of defense and tons of harpoon turrets.
I remember playing Kenshi. I started in the desert, recruited a friend. Got attacked by people, got saved by slavers, got knocked out near the slavers, who then enslaved us. Spent ages trying to break out, managed to get the buddy I recruited out, but not my character. Ran them miles away from the desert and set up a small shack. Eventually managed to get my character free who also escaped and magically knew where this shack was, because computer game. Decided that was an adventure and a great story in and of itself and quit. I meant to go back and try more things, but never did.
It was unfortunate that whilst my characters weren't criminals when they were enslaved, escaping from slavery is a crime and the guards magically knew they were escaped slaves. It's what messed up my attempts to get my created character free. She got caught escaping and was dragged back to the city (rather than the slaver camp) to be imprisoned, where she ended up in a harder to escape cell. Ah good times.
I might go back after I finish my current Rimworld game. (I probably won't.)
if the charge is below 15k it will be deleted after some time, so just keep yourself away from territories where you are outlawed for the time.
slave start is actually relatively easy, because you get feed, and you can train some stats there easily

just pointed out slave start is actually pretty good.
f.e. everytime you dont follow orders you get clubbed, pretty easy and secure way to get toughness stat up without high risk of loosing limbs or dying.
I realized it was impossible to starve to death as a slave when I sat unconscious for like a 2 days lol

I'm still playing my longest campaign ever 1200+ days in-game. My guy rose from zero to king in his own castle. As soon as I spawned in the Hub I started power leveling, first my athletics and swimming to 90 this meant that no matter what my main guy would survive. I then trained my stealth in the Bast area was pretty easy since there's alot of UC and HN squads duking it out. I then "purchased" a high level crossbow (expanded crossbows mod or w/e that adds a shitton of xbow variants) and ample stacks of bolts, skiddadled up to the leviathan coast and power leveled my crossbow + perception + dexterity by getting leviathans stuck in the terrain and just shooting them. After that it was time prove the world of Kenshi that I've become a man. Ran all the way to the bugmaster, snuck into his chamber at night and shot him down. Handed him to dommy mommy Esata, claimed my rewards a small fortune and my future bride Seto. I also got Ruka from Admag and Beep from Mongrel and that was the squad I rolled with from there. I went on various adventures in all four corners of the world. Did some bounties, did research along the way... exterminated the fishmen. And as time passed my protagonists reached legendary status.. all their main stats in the 90s, tier VI research and plenty of cats and gear. It was time to settle down.. I bought the big outpost building in Heft and started an adventuring shop/bar/inn with it's own clinic. A place where you could come in rest, get patched up, have a drink spend the night and buy supplies in the morning for your adventure. Everything was produced in house due to the miracle of science.. the bar was doing so well I opened up one in each UC city and thus the foundation of my Empire was laid. After opening a successful business chain I bought my nobility ( another mod, heavily modded playthrough ) from Tengu and started recruiting samurai to my cause.. pretty soon I had a whole army (200 samurai + 20 sniperbots I got from the sniper valley). A whole lotta mouths to feed so I wasted no time and set up a forward base right near okran's shield which served as a staging point for a full scale invasion. I could rest, train and gear up my army here, looked really cool having 50 recruits using the training equipment in tandem as the smiths and cooks worked tirelessly to equip and feed the army. With all this might I still couldn't take okran's shield head on so I build ramparts with turrets as close as I could and drew them in slowly whittling their numbers until I was ready to cut the snake's head. The invasion progressed slowly ( due to reactive world mod + mod to make HN stronger + high squad settings ) but I employed gorillo tactics, carrying out small raids against their mines and farms, slowly starving them out. Then one city fell after the other and the holy nation crumbled under it's own weight. With the religious fanatics out of the way the fertile valley connecting the world together was opened up. And this is where I am now building the infrastructure in those fertile lands.. there's one huge city in the middle being bisected by the river + main road, this is my capital and I have built outposts ( after my adventure bar model) all along the way from Bark to Stack with dedicated squad members living there a shopkeeper, workers, guards, runners etc. At this point I'm pretty much playing the game like an RTS just watching the dots ( 1000 squad mates mod ) move on the map while my main guy sits in on his throne with Seto by him, Ruka as elite bodyguard and Beep as spymaster/hitman. I plan to slowly take over the whole world( except maybe Swamp idk ) and rebuild civilization in the truest sense. Next I will conquer the Shek, use them to create a new fighting force to complement my main army ( heavily armored Shek warriors with planks for cleaving ) with which I will finally destroy the UC and Traders Guild, (I already have sleeper cells in each major city, the bars ), free all the slaves, march my massive army right up Tengu's stairs capture him, capture the rest of the nobles tie them to poles in the public square in Heft and have the ex-slaves beat them up. I have an even longer story in mind where after my dude becomes Emperor of Kenshi he starts experimenting with arcane technologies ( lotta research mods that add nifty high tech stuff ) he becomes obsessed with the old world, I still have the bugmaster captured in a small hut outside sho-battai. I will build a secluded lab down in the Ashlands and there experiment on the bugmaster ( a mod that makes him look scary and ups his stats, 150 hp, combat speed, regen ) trying to uncover the secret to immortality. As time goes by he slowly grows insane being consumed by his quest for eternal life. Growing ever desperate he decides to upload his consciousness into the bugmaster's body (no fancy mod I just use recruit prisoner mod and release my former main char) , naively thinking he erased every trace of the demented bugmaster's mind. After coming back from the Ashlands some more stuff will happen ( i haven't thought of that yet ) but he will grow ever more cruel and sadistic, replacing his limbs with god tier (another mod) robotics on top of the bugmaster's abilities. Wandering the realm mindlessly slaughtering everyone in his way, he becomes a monster that needs to be stopped. All this culminates in an epic end battle where his former squad mates his friends his family will face him. And there's no good ending no matter the outcome of the battle, if the Emperor wins he will simply become a walking apocalypse, roaming the land as the prosperous civilization he once built crumbles around him ( basically a third fall for the the world of Kenshi ) and if his adjutants win they will become local warlords vying for bits of territory of the once Grand Empire sparking numerous civil wars over the years, untill the world finally reverts back it's lawless state. This video reminds me of ambiguous amphibians video. He also did a 100 day hardest start challenge, except for you have two legs and one arm he had one arm and no legs seems like a way harder start
Kenshi is always a good game to expand to, great vid!
one thing to note, you don't have to set up a 'haul to' order for miners, once they have an available ore/copper storage in range, they automatically take back to it every time 5 resources are in the mining node
couple things: its good to have a balance of light and heavy armour between ur squad mates, same goes for different types of weapons. if you have 20 guys with katanas, ur gunna eat shit against anyone with any armour
also, i wouldnt advise giving a super powerful bow to a newly recruited crossbowman. they all start with 0 or 1 precision shooting, so unless you want to be doing about 1000 team damage every fight, i'd give them a toothpick until they reach 50% avoidance
lastly, train using iron, not copper. weighs 9kg vs 4kg for copper

Kenshi, like Rimworld, is a story generator game. It's not about the destination, Kenshi is about adventures along the way. I hope you come back to Kenshi with something like destroying major factions or doing all bounties in 100 days. I've sunk many hours in Kenshi and would love to see your take on different challenges.

You should look the yellow meat you find on various mobs, Hivers and animals are able to eat it
why struggle in the desert at start, so many other places like the area you eventually built a base. plus as seen its easier to just gain armor etc loot from bodies rather than crafting. selling those then yield faster profit than selling 6c bandanas.
This game needs to be multiplayer to prevent these kinds of bandana monopolies from gaining such a stranglehold.

started my last game few days ago, inga e in 36days with 1,7mil cat and massive fort with imortal robot army, master crafters (1 eatch) and 3 supper spy agents, assassin level 80or higer, taking down eatch town leader with sneaking in, ko punch and inprisonig all of them.
How so mutch money is that i have a massive traders hub i built with many huge buildings filled with trading stands willed with items i take off from everyone who throws a puntch on any of my people, lideral row of dozen pack animals running around the map geting sll the loot back to base to put on sale.
Slso yeah sell off the not that good level armor that sometimes is made.

How did you level up armour smithing so quick. It took me 34 days of constant bandana making and cotton buying. I made supply chains with the other towns to source cotton to Heft so I can make more bandanas and It still took me like 30 days until I started making standard bandanas.
You gain armor crafting experience also from crafting the components needed to craft armor, so maybe he was doing that.
Man you really need to use Trader's Backpacks instead of Large Backpacks. They let you stack certain items like copper
Edit: And get yourself the Dark UI Mod. Doesnt count as cheating and is easier on the eyes xD
Kenshi is the only world where being a slave might be safer than roaming the world

always up for a Kenshi vid ; ). I tend to craft dark leather shirts early on because they take forever to make, jacking up your armorer skill and they also make a nice profit.

I bought kenshi recently and I had no idea how to play it. I bought rimworld and had no idea how to play it and you showed so many people how to play it too. Please do more on kenshi

just kept mining iron until I realized copper was more profitable, looted dead bodies because my character started out with rock bottom stats and then hired 2 starter NPCs to speed up production

How the fuck did Jeremy not lose his leg? In the game you lose the game when you reach -100% of your limb health. And he had -125/80

Imo the hardest start is guy with a dog, particularly if you aim at trying to have the dog survive.
Rock bottom should be hard but if you know where to go it's incredibly easy to cheese and you can sort yourself really fast.

I spend 100 days in kenshi and i take my party to a training arc that they should move a bag full of Iron to another City to sell it. (I robbed the bars arround my base so they dont trade with me, and the sacred nation hates me). That aventure end with us being assaulted multiple times, we surrounded okran's pride to end in an fvking desert where we brutally killed a bunch of starving bandits and dust bandits, thst concluded with one of us being kidnaped and the other twoo starving to death.
The history end with the 2 remaining guys being atacked by beak things and mauled to death
woder if you can buy or crfat a mechanical Arm? Never mind a skelton arm will Doo... Always glanced at this game didn't know has a lot to offer.
The guy knows good music like Nier Automata or Made in Abyss, it's great to listen to this type of music and know that you are part of the culture XD
Seems a very fun game. Moreover, it seems to be as deep as a ocean. I like it, but sadly it also seems to be very time consuming... And I can't stand such long adventures anymore

You survived 100 Days in Kenshi? No way. No one I've seen outside of Spiffing Brit using exploits has lived that long. This game is a game I wouldn't even attempt to play. Why would I want to play a game that doesn't care about your feelings? Real life doesn't care about your feelings. Why would I want to play a game that caters to the cruel harshness of real life instead of a game that waxes my false sense of security and safety?

Great video, just what I like..just gameplay and no nonsense, you earned yourself a sub.
You don't need to build new research benches. If you select the old one in the bottom left there should be an option to upgrade it, it keeps all the materials used to build the old one and usually +5 more for the upgrade.
You also have to swim up the river to get to the armour king. There area you were at though is the only place in the game where you can stealth KO respawning skeletons, drop them to a slave shop where they get enslaved. You can buy their freedom (very expensive) and they have a 50% chance to join you. You can't have any negative rep with their faction so you can't be spotted kidnapping them or fail the stealth KO to be able to recruit them. I believe it's the only reliable way to recruit multiple skeletons without mods.
I'm trying a mostly skeleton run right now, so I know this works. I might try and train up a stealth skeleton and see if it works recruiting skin bandits (haven't got bad rep with them, and they stay friendly towards other skeletons), they've got insanely good stats. If that works it would be kinda broken.

My toxit trait is that you made Kenshi look so easy that I could think I could do all you did so easily
kenshi is actually that easy. If he didn't make it harder for himself it would be even easier. once you have hydroponics, in particular, the game is kind of a cakewalk where you just wander around looking for the next boss.
