Grading the college essays of young conservatives destroyed the late 00's & early 10's myth of the youth being an inevitable savior of the world. Some of these kids are genuinely stupid and couldn't understand why they failed assignments when they would submit a 5 page papers about voter fraud whose sources were assessments of no child left behind or tirades about the 2nd amendment (~40% of the total paper). Both of those submissions were for an assignment about US-British relations during the Great Depression. My personal favorite was the kid complaining about a bad grade in his essay about the importance of free speech where his solution was to ban third parties based on Canadian court cases which he'd not even read. Many of them come from money and that's all they have going for themselves, it's a wasteland of the mind.
You said a lot of these people come from money that means that the poor are slowly getting smarter when they realize these rich people are idiots besides these sound like Legacy hires if you look at the people who aren't from money they're getting smarter
Their presence in school is such a waste. When such people are so far gone as to have embraced the modern right, no matter their age so long as they're adults, then attempting to inform and educate them is a pointless endeavor. They contribute only negativity to our collective culture; the only role they deserve and belong is to donate their nutrients back to the ground. At least then, by fertilizing flora, they will have given a positive contribution to the world.

Honestly as a leftist, I find myself rooting for the villain a lot. And if leftists want to reclaim them, I think that's fine... We already went through an op-ed cycle where people like Lauren Southern and Katie McHugh talked about how shocked they were when vocal misogynists in the alt right treated them poorly. I guess they'll just have to go through it all over again.
Well history has shown that most richer people will not be negatively affected. So with a culture of pretending you are one of them that entire thing is solved. Everyone just things: It will only hit those poorer then me.

I was hoping we’d getting one other generation who could actually apply the left-right political spectrum. We might not have a penny to our name, but I’m pretty sure we’re the most educated generation. During BLM, I asked my mom why there weren’t more boomers at the protests. She replied that that image of Berkeley, anti war, hippies, civil rights activists was wrong. Most boomers were always conservatives and only a very small percentage was cool. Most have always been extremely conservative.

I went to a school for rich kids for middle and high school. Most kids get in on tuition + donations. My parents were an engineer and doctor respectively, so they could afford the tuition, but I needed merit in place of donations. The first friend I made at that school was exactly like these guys. We'd hang out at his place a lot of Friday afternoons, eating pizza and playing on his PS3 with his giant TV. Knew him for 2 years before he was shipped off to a boarding school and haven't seen him since, though the stories I heard through the grapevine tell me he ended up exactly as you'd expect. The rest of the kids in school weren't much different. In our graduating year, the bulk of our grade decided to skip school one day to have a party at some dude's place with pizza and beer. That day is burned into my memory because I didn't go with them and my physics teacher at the time let us play with a new 3D TV because there were literally only 5 of us present for that class. The senior school director was NOT pleased. He figured out where they went, recruited one of the gym teachers known for having a nastier temper, and together they marched those clowns back to school. I remember seeing them all sat in an assembly room at lunch time getting the tongue lashing of a lifetime! I found it so hilarious that some of them thought it was me who ratted them out, but I didn't. Although one guy stayed MIA the rest of the day. Turns out he didn't go to the party because he instead went to the public library to study! Bigger legend in my eyes than any of the others for that alone. I'm eternally grateful that, despite the environment, I didn't grow up to be like that. I was a part of the gamer crowd and didn't have money to throw around, which helped me stay pretty grounded. I'm also glad that the school didn't just let those guys do whatever they want without consequence. I was gobsmacked by the lack of intelligence, talent, skills, and work ethic so many of these rich kid MAGAs possessed.
I'm living for all the tricks to make everything look evil and gatsby-esque, every person there looks like they are covered in oil, hair face, clothes, and all else. For conservative women, the only thing that keeps them relevant is their good looks and youth. Once those things are gone, they are no longer relevant.
As someone who grew up extremely poor in the 90s-00s, I think the article and Vaush perfectly underlines why I always found it impossible to befriend middle class and richer kids. I seriously think that growing up with too much (imo if you have a garage/basement/storage full of stuff you don't use you have too much) is a detriment to developing empathy and generosity. A lot of people don't realize how quickly and shallowly they will judge someone for not having certain things (especially a car) or looking a certain way (especially having bad teeth) or doing the same things as them (ex: going on vacation at all). Despite not having much money, my mom spent all she could on us, but since I was little, we learned very early the difference between what we wanted and what we needed. She also still hates to this day having things sitting around and that she doesn't use, so she also taught us to donate what we don't use or need (and is still in good shape). I maybe have 5 toys left from when I was a kid and I think it's fine: the only ones I regret not having anymore are the ones my ADHD ass lost lol. I certainly don't think poverty is good, but teaching children not to overconsume, not to hoard and how to take care of their things instead of replacing them the moment they break is too often neglected.
It's fansicating that even with so much wealth, it still isnt enough to fill the hole of belonging. And can still cast a large shadow whether you see it in these photos or not.

The desire to fit in cuts both ways here too. People want to fit in, so they will also find the people who are more likely to welcome them than those who will police them the hardest. There are far too many leftists who act like it's the worst thing in the world when someone says f- or r- or any other words. It's one thing to say "hey man. you shouldn't say those things. It can be offensive to some people". But it's another to start moral-policing everyone around you. This is especially true when dealing with people who are just approaching your politics (either because they are young, or because they are getting out of a right wing group, or are new to thinking politically generally). Getting angry and throwing everything back in their face is going to push them right into the right. Should you use slurs and whatever? No. Are the moral police who shout the loudest and are angriest about their specific cause helping? Even stronger no. Like it or not, part of the 'appeal' of conservatism is that feeling of "ease of approach". It's not a smart stance for people to go to the right for this. But let's be honest - most people are not smart. And no one has become smarter because someone yelled at them a bunch. So either the left can understand we need to bring the majority (including all these not-smart people) into our fold any way possible (and that means muzzling our perpetually outraged holier-than-thou purist woke-scolds), or we can be the ivory tower of enlightenment and never get anything done beyond tone policing our own. I know which one i'd pick. But maybe that's because i actively want a better world and harm reduction. And i'm not satisfied just adhering to a rigid set of principles and feeling smugly superior.

OH YOU DO NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF THAT TITLE
the amount of them I have to deal with on a daily basis. :,|
Same, I feel you
Look like a bunch of fraternity pledges partying in the club on their parents credit card with khakis and blazers.
also being strobed kinda hurts so like I hope the photographer was trying to blind them
It's he overthinking? Always. Is it possible to accidentally take such terrible photos? Absolutely not
Ugh…who will galvanize like Bernie did?
Maybe AOC? But she’s probably too young, so maybe Tim Walz? Maybe Bernie himself again? The Dems are so weak and spineless though, man they suck.
I gotta deal with them all day :( (I live in Texas)
Really? Are you in some wealthy part of Texas or something?
@@BlueTyphoon2017 Brother that's just Texas, they're all MAGA idiots down there.
….this 19 year old FREAK has been on MORE THAN ONE horseshoe trip?!?! 😱
I feel bad for these rich kids. With the economic stratification, they're stuck associating with other kids just as rich as them. No longer is the blue collar scholarship kid palling around and letting them feel superior. They have to pull a Saltburn to make that happen 😂😂
I cant unsee the Succession comparison.
A lot of weirdos in right wing bastions. They have all sorts of problems relating and navigating. Nothing but trouble in European fraternities. Basically hooligans. They are also unpleasant towards each other. But they can only live among each other. Problems start at the door with these guys. I once roasted one of these troublemakers in front of a club. He started it. His friends laughing. Because he was the loser. It's not that they high fived me. Brother! I was more like a parking meter he walked into. Funny. I don't really exist. I was as aware of that as of the effectiveness of my roast.
The argument that I want to say these words is moot. You can say them, on all social media without any consequence. They are just idiots.
Come on humanity, lets raise that consciousness! I believe in you 💓
I'd like to see a novel or TV show based on their lives but with all the flaws and most perverse without any morals which shows the hypocrisy, kinda like a dark Gossip Girl or a modern Gatsby but more unhinged.
Gen Z = Children of the Corn
They all on they phone at the big social gathering lol.

I almost fell of my chair when you went into the last seconds of your video, the bit about liking the stream and using your right hand. My tea almost ended up all over the monitors! Hahaha!
"it's the roaring twenties" ok what happened after the roaring twenties. What was it. Quickly.
I was in high school during his first term. I was so deep in the alt-right alternative media bullshit that if I was allowed to vote at that time, I definitely would have voted for Trump. Luckily getting an education and learning how to critically think made me change a lot of my values and politics. Social media is what is largely driving these young kids to lean conservative. One day you're looking up how to meal prep and proper form for the gym, and then all of a sudden you're getting recommended videos from Andrew Tate and Charlie Kirk.
V true. I watch Vaush and Legal Eagle n I'm getting ads for Charlie Kirk on TH-cam. Device monitoring strikes again
Love from a Suris and Shark3ozero fan!

I got some news for you, the middle-aged and old Trump supporters aren’t a picnic either.
The right wing is really good at grooming.
A big part of the struggle of becoming less anti social, or asocial, is running into other dudes who are anti social af, and reducing yourself to their level because it's the only way you can cope (by avoiding other people like they do).
You know how after the Big French Sleepover a lot of nameless nobles got their neck massages and you'll never learn who they were?
Yeah...

The peak of Facebook memeing was Bernie's last run, all downhill from there
3:45 The economist Piketty calls these people proprietarists, or rather they are the offspring of proprietarist-family.
Not surprisingly, they often call themselves libertarians because they like to use terms such as “freedom” and this is particularly attractive to young people.
That's why the libertarian scene has become so popular among the younger generation in the West - see crypto-NPCs.
great video
brother you didnt have enough time to watch the video mann ✍(◔◡◔)
How could you have watched it all in 1 minute?
