The 6,580-acre Neversink Unique Area features a spectacular gorge and several waterfalls, Denton Falls, Mullet Brook Falls and High Falls. The Nature Conservancy designated the Neversink River as one of the 75 "Last Great Places" in the United States, Latin America and the Pacific. This unique area is a great destination for hiking and fishing.

Three marked hiking trails totaling more than 11 miles traverse the area.
Cold Spring Road Access Trailhead provides hiking access to the Neversink River on the RED marked trail. From the parking lot the river is about 3 miles.
Katrina Falls Trailhead provides access to the Mullet Brook loop about 5 miles on the BLUE marked trail. Also accessible from this point is the trail to High Falls; about 3 miles on the BLUE marked trail.
Wolf Brook Trailhead can also be used to access the Mullet Brook Loop and High Falls Trail.

I’ve been over soo much of that area ( off guided trails) and let me tell you, there’s so much more then the river …. I’ve spent probably 1200 hours in there and it’s just beautiful !!

nice area one thing I miss about my home state but rather be warm than cold lol
I live in Rock Hill, hiked that trail a few times. Have pics of 4' eels stuck to the rocks at the lower falls.Never saw any bears but I know they are there. Be prepared for lots of ticks walking through the rhodedendrons and tall grass.Definately is a unique area.👍🙂
There are def bears I saw 3 or 4 while fly fishing.
We also live near by and hiked this place maybe 20 times and love the trails and the different waterfalls. We also dislike the ticks very much and run into them a lot but we have been lucky at the never sink area, they don't both us there.
Magnificent! If ever in the area with some extra time, I will have to check it out.

Great area to hike but I would never hike without long sleeve shirt and pants. Area is loaded with ticks. Be careful.
