FYI: this Stary magnetic screen protector will still work over a glass screen protector. I use the tech armor glass screen protector on my ipad pro 12.9 5th gen and when I decide to draw I just apply the Stary protector over it and when I'm finished drawing I just put it back in the sleeve. Works awesome!!!
Man, I hope you're right. There are screen protectors like this for the Xiaomi Pad 5 and I'm certainly interested in having a removable paperlike screen protector for when using the stylus.
@@ilianaalvarado763 no, i haven't had any issues with pen wobble. That's at a slow or fast pace while drawing. Give it a shot, it works extremely well!! Plus if you don't like it, which I'm confident you will. You can always return the Stary screen protector.
Nice video, but.. you gotta flip the screen protector. The strips at the top and bottom have two sides; a shiney side and a matt side. You want the shiney side to make contact with the screen to stick. The matt side should be facing you. I hope that resolves your issue! I know mine works like that :)
I don't see the problem with that, actually for me could be an advantage because I don't like my screen matte to do everything , I thing I'd just use it for drawing or writing , then doesn't bother me to put it on every time I need it, and actually I wouldn't have to worry about losing it ! Just my opinion !
Thanks for the update and additional info. I love magnetic cases but bought this screen protector anyway. I also have a TPU case so I'll gladly switch it out to that when drawing (or use the Sketchboard Pro). For me, this removable, magnetic screen protector is still the best thing I've bought since the iPad itself 😊
Thanks for clarifying however is a first world problem, hardly an issue IMO. What a wonderful invention. Perfect for those that dropped good coin on new 12.9 Pro with mini LED and want to draw/write with pencil but not compromise the viewing experience of the HDR screen to watch a movie after done with pencil. Brilliant. I’m getting one!
Actually, if you care to watch the official video of this Stary magnetic matte screen protector they clearly show you that when you open the iPad the protector comes off, so it’s actually meant to, it’s a selling point!
actually this is a feature not a flaw ..they promote it with their commercials that u can use the actual screen instead of blurry paperlike screen by just removing it & attached it to the magnetic cases.
Picked one of these up after watching your videos on it. So far I dig it. I like the ability to take it off for most things and then just slap it on when I’m in procreate. One thing to note is that they don’t give you two, just one. Or at least mine only arrived with one protector.
With the flexibility that magnetic screen protector works just fine, its not that it will fly away when you open your magic keyboard or folio lol... besides you need remove it for other purpose like take it out for original non matte view and when you start writing put it on its flexible use
Probably a stupid question, but can I add this on top on my already placed tempered glass screen protector? I like the idea of removing this magnetic screen protector when I'm not drawing.
Im a digital artist and I do daily art, also wanna watch art courses and movies at the same time so this concept is very appealing to me. However I am more concerned about when we do not use it, where are we going to store it? Lying on the table or bed catching a bunch of dusts? Then whenever we wanna attach it to it the screen, we have to clean with alcohol again... The dusts between the layers night scratch your screen We could store this magnet screen protector with a clear book but I mean... for me who is constantly drawing and watching stuff on Ipad.. It feels troublesome to clean your screen over and over again within a day
Update for y'all. I just got both the Screen Protector and a Magic Keyboard and I don't know what changed...but it doesn't stick to the keyboard anymore. Everytime I open it, the protector stays on the ipad screen!
FYI, I bought the STARY Like Paper Screen Protector for my iPad Pro 12.9” 5th Gen in July 2022 and have had no problems using it with the Magic Keyboard.
@@TheAverageTechGuy I like the STARY, but think it obscures the display. Have you tried the ELECOM Detachable Pencil Feel Screen Protector? It uses nano suction instead of magnets. I used to use the ELECOM stick on screen protector (bond finish) and really liked them. Then there's also the Bellemond Detachable Magnet Type Smooth Kent Paper Screen Protector that people seem to talk about. I'm curious how they compare.
The Stary brand fixed this issue by only putting the magnets on one side on their updated screen protectors. It works perfectly now without the annoyance of having it stick to the case.
I have this cover and it’s such a great concept. I don’t think it’s a big deal so much. What I don’t like is how rough the matte surface it. It’s much rougher than my cheap, stick-on paper-ish type protector. I also only got 1 cover, not 2. Hmmm…
I also got it couple months ago and im really disappointed about its sourface (it doesnt even feel like paper) ill be grateful if u can suggest me another magnetic one that really feels like paper..
I bought this a year a before, a couple of weeks before i sold my ipad. I hated it so much LOOL The major problem for me which made me return it, was the fact that it felt like rubber. I thought it was going to feel like a regular matte screen protector like the paperlike, but nope. It felt very rough and very squishy. Almost made me cringe everytime i used it. Only took me about 1 minute, to hate it lol
Just got one month ago also got the Pitaka magnetic cover. My screen protector doesn’t come off have a magic keyboard, flip it around. DABERNUR magnetic paper feel screen protector on Amazon $15.99
I bought a Zugu case for my I-pad, so it has a magnetic flap but also grips the iPad exterior. Do you think a magnetic screen protector would work alongside a case like that?
Can we use a removable magnetic screen protector like this with a glass screen protector that we might want to keep on for when we don't want to have that paper feel experience? Will the ipad still function properly with the pencil and such?
Awesome info. I am curious about this screen protector to use when I’m drawing. I have a Logitech Slim Folio Pro case, I think it has magnets but the case encloses the screen such that I think this magnetic screen protector could stay in place BUT I think the edge of the case that sits on top of the screen bezel might make it such that the magnetic screen protector doesn’t fit because it looks from this video that it is pretty much the same size as the glass on the iPad… any thoughts?
bro awesome video as always can i ask though if i have temperd glass and i just want to use this to write on can i stick it over the tempered glass and will it still stick can you test out an lemme know thanks
Can someone tell me what it’s like now after having it for like a month or so?? I want to know how long it “sticks” before I buy it. I know it’s magnetic and all, but I saw a review on Amazon, and one of sides of the dudes screen protector wasn’t working. He claims it was working for months. So, I wanna know before I buy .

Does the Apple Pencil like wobble when drawing because of the thickness of both screen protectors?

Does the protector actually protect the screen or is it more just for feel. I’m getting the impression that it won’t really protect the screen.
So, in other words, it’s a 2 in 1 keyboard protector like a microfiber cloth sized. I don’t see a problem here.

JW Library…nice bro👌🏻😄
wouldn‘t a screen protector that goes on and off so often get a lot of dirt under it and damage the display because u grind it in with the pencil?
Ooh that's a good point
I guess you’d have to keep it clean often with a rag
