Great build bud... I did one back in the nineties.. In South Afroica we had the Mk1 in production till 2010. The fenders and bumpers were different, making the car look a bit more modern. I did the conversion to modern spec. I did as you did here. Complete stripdown. Car went on to be developed to a 2.0 litre 8 valve with it's injection.. K-Jet. Did a 14.7 1/4 mile..

Nice job! Everything well documented and those rims are really sweet. Who cares about those VR6 turbo "i don´t get the power on the street" - conversions? This thing will surely get all the looks if you park it in front of an ice-dealer and no one cares about it´s hp for sure :) (y)

That upholstery is spot freakin on! Although the carbon fiber oil filter is a bit overboard. Haha!
