Simple rotor with V-spring

  • This concept is based on disproportion of mass of extending weights related to side of the device. I have applied a spring in V-shape to obtain pressure to external rim. I have also applied row of ball bearings on the circumference of the rim from the inside to decrease the friction. This system should be powered from electric motor. But this is quite simple not finished yet device, not developed enough system to show only the idea of working of such a system and I will prepare more advanced animation of this concept soon. There is more mass on upper side than on lower side of the device. The spring is released in upper hemisphere and fully compressed in lower hemisphere, and it is pushing on the guiding chuck on the one side and the short rod on the rotary mass from the other side.

    Interesting, this is the same principle I am using to create a self pointing device!!!
