    One thing I actually half-expected to see in the game and was a little disappointed it didn’t happen. In mythology, Baldur comes back to life after Ragnarök. Would have been interesting if that were to happen and some reconciliation were to happen.

    I definitely feel like at some point, Kratos and Freya might end up together. I really get the sense that she reminds Kratos a lot of Faye in many ways. Like Faye, Freya is compassionate, kind, and genuinely understands Kratos' pain and inner turmoil. Its just that at the current moment, neither is ready.

    It makes sense Baldur was like Atreus in his past. In the norse mythology, he was described as the kindest of gods after all. But I imagine his curse and years of toxic fatherhood would lead even the purest of hearts to transform into that beast. It's a shame.

She even asked would Kratos listen to her if she ever needs someone to express her thoughts to. The only time it felt like she implies that they'll be enemies again is during that scene at Asgard during Ragnarok. She basically tells Kratos that Odin had better not survive. Kratos cuts her off but she insinuates that they'll be at odds again if Odin is spared but she changes her mind on that at the end.

    It's amazing how Freya could see similarities between Baldur and Atreus, and even get to the point where she could act a surrogate mother to him. Atreus even regarded her as a mother figure whenever he was near her. The fact that he could approach her when she was in her angered state, despite the fact that she had the power to kill him whenever she wanted to, but never did, because he knew she wouldn't, that shows bravery, and Freya respected bravery.

    the actress of Freya wants kratos to marry Freya in the future. She said this on twitter. Also Freya's daughters don't exist yet in the games so they could easily make them her and kratos daughters since the name of the father of Freya's daughters in myth translates to "fury". Kratos could be known by that name among the vanir just like how the giants in Jotunheim referred to kratos as farbauti in Jotunheim as seen in the murals and farbauti translate to cruel striker. Not to mention the dialogue between Freya when talking to kratos on the boat in several boat conversations just sounds like she is just flirting with him. Since they are staying together and travelling to repair the realms together there's a chance they could end up together. The actress of Freya has been shipping them together ever since the last game. The directors may have agreed with her wanting them to end up together which is why Freya and kratos have so many moments in dialogue in this game. I remember in one mission Freya starts feeling sad thinking about something and kratos tries to tell her a story and she just giggles because the story was suppose to cheer her up yet the story he wanted to tell her was a dark one but she just giggled and asked him finish. The subtle hints are already there. I just wonder if the directors will execute it in comic form or in a dlc for Ragnarok since this is suppose to be the last Norse game. Or they could just have it mentioned in a future game that kratos became all father and married Freya in a sequel where you play as Atreus in another pantheon.

    Strange that Baldur,Magni and Modi should come back to life after Ragnarok Same as in the original Mythology and by Hela the daughter of Loki in hellhaim or Valhalla Well come to think of it,Hela doesn't exist yet maybe in the future in the next game or story DLC still in Norse Mythology so maybe they'll come back to life in the future making up and being allies and friends This time Just like Thor and maybe Heimdall and Freyr 🤔😁👍 like and Bye!

    If we get the next game, it probably won't be "God of War" anymore, but something like a family action game like Uncharted with our boy Atreus as the protagonist.

    • @Fartypotion
      @Fartypotion ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not quite...He said to Freya he never regretted saving her life, but he still apologized for robbing her the choice to die by her own son's hands. I got a feeling that Kratos never cared about Baldur's death, he only cared about Freya.

      Actually not quite true, it is understandable that, considering Kratos' past, he has his doubts about anybody, but from the very beginning Freya was maternal to Atreus and her reaction to the whole Baldur's death is quite understandable, she was completely confused about who is guilty of his demise, she knows her contribution to Baldur's mental instability, she knows Kratos and Atreus were acting on self-defense from the beginning, she knows that Baldur had an opportunity of choice and he chose to kill her, she actually liked Kratos and Atreus once she began to help them on their journey and she knows that it was not even the intention of Atreus to break Baldur's spell (actually Atreus could have been killed by that punch if there was no mistletoe hanging out of his neck). Thinking about it, she had a lot to process about it her feelings, even perhaps the feeling that they somewhat set Baldur free from his suffering.

    Not so long ago, Freya wanted to murder Atreus. She's lucky Kratos forgave her for that, so why does she talk about being in his son's life?

    • @fissilewhistle
      @fissilewhistle ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because Freya never wanted Atreus dead. She never had it in her to hurt him, Kratos was the sole focus of her vengeance.
