this song music wasn't written by Bowie but by Pat Metheny Bowie wrote the lyrics and sang it and it's for a movie so is different from what Bowie generally did. Another good song from the early 80s sang by Bowie (music by Moroder) from a soundtrack is Cat People. In both Bowie singing is high quality and it's even better in Cat People. I'm glad you understand he was a great singer few people understand that.
