This is my first tutorial and it's a disaster, LOL. What's not a disaster is the awesome awning from Ironman 4x4 and the easy-to-install brackets from Frontrunner. I'm so looking forward to putting this thing to use when I visit the beach and hopefully other areas around Texas.

I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but in case someone else needs help. You extend the horizontal poles all the way out before you roll the awning all that way out. That way, they're fully extended and ready to hook in when the awning is unrolled. Nice job though!
Thank you, pinned!
Thanks for this video…I was looking at getting the front runner slimline and wanted the Ironman awning…perfect video.
Glad it helped you decide. We are still using it to this very day. 😊🎥
Thanks for keeping it REAL..

@@CoastalGX what's your water usage storage look like when you hit the cut?
Christopher Vela I always carry the 16 gallon Frontrunner tank. I take an extra 5 gallon jerrycan for extended stays. There’s other options out there.
@@CoastalGX yeah man usually for the beach my gf and I take 1pack bottle water
And have another 2gal pump
But we learned real quick National sea shore requires more over night 😂😂😂
We went with family and kids so yeah lol
@@CoastalGX show me the tank
That’s a good addition !! Will help a lot with the sun!! 👍🏼👍🏼
I like that it’s one less thing to carry now. 👍🏽
Really like that shirt! I remember making those! Video, as usual, very informative 👍
Great video as always! Love my Ironman awning👍 loved the great price and quick shipping
Bender_GXOR thanks brother! I can’t wait to use it for real!
I Can’t wait for the disassemble video! Subscribed

Good job, can't wait to see it in action at the East Cut 💪
She performed like a champ this weekend. 👍🏽
Keeping it 100 got this vid a like from me 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thank you! 🎥🎬👍🏽
Nice bro hope to see you out there.
Juanito Aguilera awesome! 🎥🎬👍🏽
What a coincidence. I have been looking at awnings all week.
I will use it this weekend, let’s see how it does at the beach.
Looks great. Awesome video as always. I have been looking into the new 270° awnings. But man are thwy expensive. But great choice.
They can be very fancy, but also very expensive. This was one of the better values I could find.
Nice keeping it real brotha, beach time
Can’t wait to use it.
Robert that it is great 👍
Thank you! 🎥🎬👍🏽
The jetties open on Tuesday
County access will open so yes, that would get you access to the Jetties.
Nice. Mine is still on backorder til the 21st.
I ordered several things an I wasn’t expecting them until much later, but they got here way before. You’ll really enjoy it.
I like this better than the arb one
It performed well at the beach over the weekend.
Just found your channel. Ive been considering adding an awning to my avalanche for shade at the beach, camping etc. How has this worked out for you in the long term? Better than just carrying an Ez up?
I like it, but be aware of the wind velocity and the type of stakes you use at the beach. Also, it’s wise to have an assistant when setting it up or tearing down during strong winds. I like it better than a bulky canopy. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
Thanks a lot for this very detailed video. Do you think if one person is trying to do the install, it would be easier to mount the brackets to the rack first and then hold up the awning and line it up ?
Either way is fine. I did it this way because I found it easier and the sales rep made the suggestion as well. Thank you for watching and good luck with the install!
@@CoastalGX Thanks for the help. I just completed the install. For the benefit of others who might be doing this install in the future, you should really install the brackets to the awning first if installing on a Slimline II rack. There is little to no room to tighten the M8's on the awning/bracket combo if you have the brackets already installed on the rails.
@@sikandinc thanks for sharing and congratulations on the install!
Now in 2022, Do you still like those front runner brackets? Looking to get a 270, and seems difficult to find options for brackets
Hi there. I used the brackets and I still have the same setup. However, the included Ironman brackets could’ve worked as well. The cool thing about Frontrunner is that you can use regular hardware instead of exclusive “proprietary” bolts like other roof rack systems.
@@CoastalGX thanks!
Did your ironman awning come with install instructions?
Yes, but most dummies like me just toss them aside 🤣. Just kidding, yes they include instructions. I just hadn’t seen a video where one was installed on a slimline 2 rack from Frontrunner. There’s many install videos (better than this one 🥺🤣.)
Another great video!! Ironman products are 👍🏼 #GXmafia👊🏼😂
Thanks Gabriel! Hope you can join us soon.
How do you like the frontrunner water tank?
It's perfect; Holds 11 gallons and has held very well in the hot weather of the RGV. Very durable plastic and the brackets have endured the sea salt just fine. I'm uploading a video tomorrow that slightly addresses the water situation. I hope you get to watch it.
Hey man nice new mod
Thanks Liam! I hope to use it next Saturday at the beach. Hope you guys can make it. 🎥🎬👍🏽
@@CoastalGX ya we will maybe be tere
@@CoastalGX I will not be able to make it to the beach clean up
When are you heading to the East cut did you hear about a new cut heading to the East cut
Heading back on Saturday. I posted video and info on our Coastal GX East Cut Adventures Facebook page. Major changes.
