No sweetheart..She is not wasting her life..it cannot be selfish if she dedicates her life in order to give others a fuller life! People benefit from the prayers and deeds of religious.
Sr Allison, you are one of those special souls that God has privileged us with. How inspiring it is to see a young lady so wonderfully devoted to a real vocation. God bless you.
please pray for me and my Vocation. I'm 19 and and Affiliate with the Sisters of the Resurrection and I will join them after i graduate my 2 yr college (I'll hopefully be joining a.k.a becoming a postulant when i'm 20)only a year away from joining!!! :)
It is very true when she said it is an invitation and call from god and is not a choice that she made. Congratulation, pray for us sinners in particular for those they do not understand the concept of becoming a Jesus' bride, it is a spiritual bride not a physical as Jesus is son of god in a spiritual sense. Special thanks to those who made a right choice and decision to upload this video to be watched world wide and thanks to you tube the international magazine in all languages. God bless you all, go in peace to serve the lord Jesus Christ.
congratulation sister, you are a mother to all of us, we love you we pray for you that lord will strengthen you to continue his mission of call, please remember us in your prayers.
I think it's wonderful to want to be a nun....but its not for everyone. I was brought up a Catholic and was called by god at 5 years and didn't give my life to him because I thought it ment I had no choice but to be a nun!!...i was called again at 12 and again refused I was called again at 28 and this time I gave my life to jesus...i am always trying to tell people about jesus and the worldly life is not important to me anymore. My life with god is everything to me and that's the most important thing of all... relationship with him xxxx
All I can say my friend! You still don't understand, religious life is the greatest call from God! Blessed are those who answer his call.... I can't wait to be with you my Lord Jesus Christ....
@Avalita07 I would suggest seeking spiritual direction from a nun or priest. I believe it is healthy for a person to desire motherhood to become a nun and desire fatherhood to become a priest. This desire is natural and God given, but something we offer up when we answer God's call to give our lives completely to Him.
it is an amazing vocation. I was a religious Sister (nun) for four years, now I am in a group working on forming a new community. Look up intercessor relief and u can see you can see our de-facto community :)
@ThePersonaleffects yeah, the bible says "blessed are the persecuted because of me" and "the world will hate my church", so the negativity towards us only strengthens our faith.
Amen to that. There is nothing more beautiful than someone who gives up all for the love of God so that they can receive Jesus to a more fuller measure in thier hearts and souls. That inner beauty calls attention not to these women, but glorifies Jesus Christ.
@kolbe1019 I AGREE contemplative nuns get the best part... they're called.. then they told YES to GOD let's keep Praying for people they don't believe in GOS: just a sad empty life... to eat.. work... sleep... and TV... that kind of life is an absurdity. Such a pity!
Funny. A lot of these religious people spend their time praying and helping the unfortunate. While antireligous people spend their time hating youtube videos about people who help the unfortunate. I've never had strong faith in god, but I wouldn't call my self an atheist or else get labeled one of those losers.
@wordavee Sex is not a sin, it's a gift from God. He gave it to us to have sexual relationships to create live by expressing love within His blessing in the marriage. We all are called to live in chastity, that means to preserve the precious gift of sex untill the marriage, that is the reason of the sexual relationship, to express love blessed by God. When? After you get married, with the person God gives you as husband / wife. Not before.
She is obviously a lovely person and it's great to see her committing her life to God in this way. She'll have her cross, like we all do, but I'm sure she will experience much peace and fulfilment in her vocation. Religious contribute greatly to the life of the church and society in general, so there is no way they are wasting their lifes. However I disagree with her comments about the role and status of a nun elevating motherhood. they are both vocations of equal value, just different.
amen.. they are the silent backbone. We really need to pray for these Servants-- including the priests. Satan always aims at attacking them first, to scandalize others.
Jesus deserves it because He out of enormous love gave us life. We are to thank Him for all the love He gives us, and this is how some women choose to thank Him. Some are called to thank Jesus through marriage, single life, or religious/consecrated life. And its us who benefit from her sacrifices and prayers because she prays for the mercy, patience, and forgiveness of God for all humankind. Only satan can twist a beautiful act into a perverse act. God bless
This is a lovely video. I watched it a few times. It makes me wonder what it would of been like if I became a nun instead of the path I followed which was becoming a wife and mother. I don't think it would of made me happy though, but I still feel there is something missing in my life. I wish I knew what it was.
It is a shame when any religious group, professed or in the world, gets distracted by silly external details. I have had the privilege of knowing religious with intellect who really were seeking enlightenment, who reflected it in all their work. In most human institutions, the administrators always edge out the sincere practicioners and prefer to recruit more like themselves.
I'm still prayed my for Jesus Christ he's good man everything that's in the bible I believe all of that is all true I believe that Jesus was a real man
@wordavee This does not mean that we must be frustrated, on the contrary, when you live in chastity you discover that your were a slave of your body, living in chastity you wait for the person that God wants for you. It's as simple as that. Sex is a gift from God, that is why we must preserve it and take care of it untill marriage.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, ... IN HIS JOY went and sold all he had and bought that field. (Matt 13:44) I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has HIS OWN GIFT from God; one has this gift, another has that…. Now to the unmarried ... I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried... (1 Cor:7) She is in a committed relationship with Jesus, the love of her life. She promised to forsake all others for that relationship. Lucky girl.
pray to St Therese of the Child Jesus for her intervention and advice and always trust in the Lord. He will let you know the hour and day that you are ready and then you will simply get up and go forth.
Because, unlike other species, God gave us a soul. So we are not like the animals. The animals are of this world. We, however, are in this world, but not of it. We are intended for the next world...Heaven. So in order to fulfill God's plan for us, we procreate through the sacrament of Marriage. Remember, Marriage is not an institution of the State, nor of the Church. It is a divine institution created by God. When man disregards this he becomes his own Pope at his peril.
@kolbe1019 Why expect the extremes of life ?, if sex with many partners, or getting married to a loser, or becoming a lesbian is the only ends of a persons life without the influence of church and bible. It's rather due to the lack of imagination or having proper virtues to begin with. I do nothing of either of the two, since there is a middle ground in between a healthy spiritual approach to life and death, and living a meaningful earthly life without isolated servitude to an institution.
@prankcalls420 There is a biological procreation and it is a blessed calling but then there is a spiritual procreation which is a higher calling. Thats our Catholic belief.
I'm with OregonAlleyCat. There is no more corrupt organisation in the world than the Roman Catholic Church. Even Jesus/God would think so. This group is so far removed from what Jesus' idea of Christianity was.
I have a nun friend who became nun at the age of 17. she is happy still. she loves it
I got tears in my eyes after hearing her voice, I hope she will stay strong in her faith and endure to the end. God really bless her
What an inspiring and holy young woman. I desire to be like her. May we all find such dedication and devotion.
I just got a shiver as she spoke. I believe her when she said she heard a voice.
To see the Joy on her face is a vision of heaven
May God bless all of our wonderful nuns! I hope plenty of people from this generation will answer the call of God!;-);-)
No sweetheart..She is not wasting her life..it cannot be selfish if she dedicates her life in order to give others a fuller life! People benefit from the prayers and deeds of religious.
Will continue praying for all thru my daily rosary. Thank you for your sacrifice!

@Persphonefallen Thats the power of God :) He changed me too through confession!!

traditional sisters are increasing while the vatican II rejects are on the decline, blessed by Jesus.
Amen
Well said, my good man!
Yes, I agree, there is nothing more beautiful than the faces of Catholic nuns of all ages.
I should have joined now I’m too old!
can we become a nun for a year ???

Nuns should wear their habits!
pray to St Therese of the Child Jesus for her intervention and advice and always trust in the Lord. He will let you know the hour and day that you are ready and then you will simply get up and go forth.
best job ever

@PitterPatty God bless you.
I wouldn't want to become a nun but good for. She's choosing something that makes her happy.
to be a nun is to enlarge your capacity to suffer
I agree with kolbe1019. Pax Christi.
I'll have to kindly refuse that offer, thank you.
The only thing I see weird is saying that Jesus is your spouse and her being the bride of Christ.
@sm0keshell hahaha ok then... all i can say is good luck when you meet God ... you're gonna need it buddy
@prankcalls420 There is a biological procreation and it is a blessed calling but then there is a spiritual procreation which is a higher calling. Thats our Catholic belief.
I didn't know I was married to her

"As long as any institution has humans working for it their will be sin" isn't organized religion an institution? XD
Sad!! How many young girls got a brain wash ??? Wow
