Hi Roger yesterday western Sydney noon temp was 42c. Watered my cymbidums out in the garden at noon in a very open posiition no shade to very light shade, Just a slight yellowing of the leaves that,s all. They have been in that position for at least two years.regards Pete.
Even the virused one is doing better then my best 😁 I had no idea temperature would be so important when buds are forming. Next year not in the grow room
Most are classed as cooler growers and it's mainly the cooler nights of late Summer into Autumn that instigate the spikes inside the bulbs while they are outside. I suppose, when they come inside, too much warmth can upset how they progress as far as spikes are concerned.
@@RogersOrchidsGardenandBonsai We'll have to wait till next year to test that but I think mine are proof enough. The red arrow is opening two flowers, and i thought they were all done for, and it's because of the colder room. The other two may yet give some decent blooms
Hello Roger, I have the phenomenon that my orchid opened four days ago but it doesn't smell, according to the internet it is a fragrant orchid. Could it be that the scent needs a few more days? BLC young min orange golden satisfaction
Fragrance is often produced with an increase in light like some filtered sunlight. My fragrant orchids don't produce any or very little now I'm in this growroom where the light levels are lower and more constant.
Beautiful blooms 🌺🌸🌼👍. Thanks Roger 😊.

Thumbs-up
nice chat and look. Did you miss the interloper at 12:43 haha
I missed it when it walked past but shooed it off as soon as I'd finished filming. It upsets Mojo when other cats come in his garden.
How about trying Hannah`s virused orchid in a bit more sun next summer.regards Pete
Maybe....
