Dustin-. Where are u from? I'm in Va, looking for some 4wheelers/dirtbikes to rebuild. Want to make a monster fer me and possibly start flipping a few. Currently wrenchn on the steering stem and wheel bearings on a 86 trx 250. Jus redid the top end. Runs like a champ but steers like a lame mule lol
I’m in Georgia. If it’s hard to steer check the ball joints. I had a 300 do that and that was the issue……… that’s basically what I do. I buy them broken and fix them and sell them. I’m working on a 95 big bear right now that I’m trying to finish before tax season lol.
@@rolandsgarage8640 10'4. Yeah it needs ball joints (upper n lower on both sides, inner & outter tie rods, upper stem bushing, lower stem bearing. Can grab the handle bars and it has at least a half inch+ play in it before it even begins to move the wheels. Can see from there that the lower stem bearing is just gooonnne. I've went thru it purdee thoroughly and am compiling a list of all steering related parts. Lol list is getting long. But customer will be happy when it's all done. 👍 R u finding good deals down GA?
@@_-gh0st-_ I was before Covid hit lol. Now $300 bikes have turned into $600 bikes lol. But I’ve still got got about 12 in the back I’ve gotta fix before I buy anymore
@@rolandsgarage8640 u r not lie'n there. Sheesh ppl lost their minds with to much free time on their hands. Everybody wanted 4wheelers n dirtbikes like crazy. It's same here man, if not worse. 400 dollar pile of parts now lists as 1000 dollar (needs only minor things) atv.. Smh. But hey guess that's how it goes. U having any issue getting new parts? I tried to order a new camshaft from a dealership here, 3 months later ... I get the line of "it's on back order" I hate eBay.. but needed a camshaft. Found a good shape used one for 100bucks

Hey I did a stator replacement on mine but when I put the shifter back on it won’t shift now and idk why any ideas?
