Hi Ant, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend., hope you are bearing up ok, sir Good to hear your tops for '24. There's some real good ones there. Mine are top ones, Opeth - Last will and Testament, Blood Incantation - Absolute Elsewhere, Priest - Invincible Shield, Suicidal Angels - Profane Prayer, Pearl Jam - Dark Matter, Wintersun II. those are mine...all heavy though, lol. Have a good Christmas with the family and take care. Best wishes
Good stuff on your list I’ve listened to the Blood Incantation. I was surprised to learn that Tangerine Dream is a guest on the album. I’ll check out the others that I’m not familiar with! Thank you for your kind words about my buddy Ted. He truly was a top notch guy. The world’s a little darker now but I’m going to keep his spirit alive by trying to be as positive as possible!!!
@@AntOnMusic13 hi Ant, yes mate, it’s a bit darker, but you are doing what he would want you to do, being as positive as you can be. You’ll both meet again one day, sir. Mere words, but I thought I would send you my best wishes to you👍 You may like the other albums, the Wintersun - Time II, (sorry I missed out the “Time” bit), is great, extreme power metal. The suicidal angels one is thrash and heavy….you may not like them of course, lol. Here’s another band you may like to check out, I mean you may already be aware of them Spirits of Fire “Spirits of Fire”, heavy power metal type. Melodic, catchy, great riffs - Chris Caffery, great Ripper Owen’s vocals. Have a good Boxing Day
R.I.P. Teddy T.! From the fellow idiot in the back of the room!🙏🏻 You realize how many records come out in a year when you highlight ones that don’t make the cut! Merry Christmas sir!🎅🏻🔥
Ok - I’m with ya for 5 of your 10 (btw - saw T4F at 14 at Radio City…) I ain’t listening to Ace - sorry…I’ll give your other 4 a listen but I have a hard time liking a lot of prog - and the only concept album I love to this day - Operation Mind Crime (and ya should’ve added Sebastien Bach - he sounds as great as ever. So sorry for the loss of your friend Ant - horrid time of year for that to happen. If there is some go fund me for his family - please let me know. Again - love to you, Laura and your munchkins for the Holidays ❤❤❤
Oh - meant to add this…my additional picks for 2024: Sebastien Bach, Lenny Kravitz, Honeymoon Suite, Bruce Dickinson (I didn’t hate it..), Norah Jones, Rod Stewart & Jools Holland, and I’ll add one of my many country picks - Lainey Wilson
@@AntOnMusic13I have been a country fan since I can remember (commie folks loved it - the only station we listened to was WHN on the AM dial…). I also had some pop (Charlie XCX - Meghan Trainor..) and oddities like Bela Fleck from my scanning the Village Voice for upcoming local gigs to check out (Bela was always playin somewhere in town)
OH - and I watched AND commented on your Christmas episode 🎅
Thanks for taking a bullet on the Christmas video

Unfortunately Ted never married or had kids. I’m surprised you didn’t know him from the radio station

I dig everything on your choices except Lainey Wilson . Not a country fan .

Sorry Ant Frehley wouldn't be on mine either but Jon Anderson would be my no1
I realized after recording this I neglected The Smashing Pumpkins. I’d definitely swap that out in place of Ace
@@AntOnMusic13 I forgot that one also lol
