I love stories like this. No matter if you are rich or poor, highly educated or not, be respectful to others. Treat others as you want to be treated, love thy neighbor and don't judge... One day you might be wearing that person's shoes. Everyone falls from grace, and those who work hard might raise ahead. Life changes in the blink of an eye. Be kind.
Higher education is not for everyone. It's all in your ability to make your life work for you. Know your priorities, don't be lazy, use those discouraging words wisely and prove only to yourself that you are better.
To all the people that raug thuam, It’s okay with all the evil talk. The more they talk about you, the more god loves you. Just wait patiently for a golden blessing from heaven. Instead of getting bitter with them or get overall stressed, say thank you to those people.
Sister I applaud you! A degree doesn't necessarily will guarantee you a huge success in life. I am also living proof of that too. I make well over 100k a year with just a high school diploma. And I work in the medical field and have helped my family members get into it to upstart their lives. Dont be discouraged, ever! Hard work and dedication does pay off ❤
All a degree gives you is credibility. I work with people who has a master and PhD. Freaking idiots who can't even keep up with folks with a high school diploma.
I wouldn't say credibility. It means you had the opportunity and patience to finish the program. Not everyone gets the opportunity, no matter how smart one is
I'm proud of you for sharing this story. A degree doesn't define who you are. You have a drive to take your life in the direction that made you successful, I commend you for that. Keep going for you - you have a purpose. I applaud you, sis. Well done! ❤
Omg I can’t stand ppl throwing these kind of party. Their nose so high writing, showing all degree in front of guess. What a show off!!! Degree or not as long as you can work hard and take care of your family. Ppl with those degree do they pay your bills?
My in laws did the same thing to me, they told me to sit in the back, while everyone in the family gets recognized including the dogs in the family, I was the only one being cast out.
Yog ib tsev neeg uas siab phem kawg thiaj ua tau li nov rau tus nyab..Kuv niam ib txwm qhia kuv tias hlub tub puas nyab hlub ntxhais puas vauv..Yus tsis nyiam tus nyab los yus tus tub twb nyiam lawm ces yus kav tsij hlub tus nyab with yus tus tub..Txawm yus tsis nyiam tus vauv los yus tus ntxhais twb nyiam lawm ces yuav yuav tsum tau hlub tus vauv thiab li nov yus thiaj yog ib family zoo.
They looked down on you right from the get-go because you put yourself down by going over to visit him. I think they used nit having a degree as a reason to cover the real reasons why they don't like you.
Muaj degree thiab tsis muaj los nyob ntawm tus neeg txawj khwv thiab muaj peev xwm but to me I don’t believe that a person would make 90k+ a year without a HS diploma.

Congratulations lady! Prove your in-laws wrong that people without degrees can make good money too!
The ironic thing about this story is, if it weren't for people treating her the way they did she would not have the motivation to be successful.

Why your stories always doctors and engineers?
Well you can’t really be mad bc you’re the one that didn’t go and finished your GED. Should’ve went back to school instead of your husband.
Not sure why you were upset when you were not on the list, you didn’t have a degree.
