#Pentatonix published this on their 2021 Christmas album, "Evergreen." Most pentaholics think this should have won a Grammy. Unfortunately, it's the publisher's responsibility to submit songs to the Academy, and RCA decided to submit the entire album rather than the one Grammy-worthy song on it. "Evergreen" (the album) was nominated, but it never had much of a chance of winning. And if I sound angry about that it's only because I am.
Isn't that a gorgeous suit Scott is wearing? Do you notice that he ISN'T wearing a scarf, or gloves? That's because they aren't actually in a snowy forest; this was filmed indoors, on one of the most beautiful sets I've ever seen.
Either Mitch or Kirstin could have sung the lead; they have much the same range and on occasion they sound very much alike. But Kirstin's real forte is belting out those high notes and Mitch's is ethereal (some would say angelic) vocals, which made Mitch the better choice to lead in "The Prayer."
Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli each recorded solo versions of "The Prayer" for the 1998 film, _uest for Camelot."_ Dion's was in English and Bocelli's was in Italian. Later, they released a duet version on their albums "These Are Special Times" (1998 - Dion) and "Sogno" (1999 - Bocelli).

Obviously, #Pentatonix chose to cover the duet version, though they abbreviated Bocelli's part. And wouldn't you know that Scott would be the best choice for Andrea Bocelli's part, when Scott is the member of Pentatonix most likely to forget the lyrics (according to everyone in Pentatonix, including Scott)? No, he doesn't speak Italian; he had to learn this by rote, and he worked very hard to get the pronunciation right. According to people who do speak Italian he succeeded.

Pentatonix is a great Acapella group they have won three Grammy but if you want to expand your music world you have got to listen to Dimash Kudaibergen, the greatest vocalist I have ever heard start with S.O.S then Stranger.

This is a beautiful version, but Marcelito Pomoy by himself, live on the Wish Bus, did a better performance than all five of them.
BS PTX way better.5 years Pomoy had 8 million views. in 2 years PTX had 12 million. Pomoy looks goofy trying to do the mans and woman voices. Yes he can sing, but PTX is far superior
@@scottboyd9383 , sorry, but Pomoy has over 100 million views counting all the reactioneers who watched it. And 99% thought it was fantastic. They got goosebumps, they cried , they were in awe and couldn't believe it. Pentatonix is a nice group and they sound good, but not near the effect that Pomoy had and still has. Plus, it took 5 of them, a background and remixes, he did it live. You must be a fanboy of Pentatonix not to give Pomoy his due.
