    NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS AREA WITH BEAUTIFUL GHANAIAN HOMES | AFFORDABLE GHANA HOMES |LIVING IN GHANA
    Lets explore the Sakumono area, an area about 15 mins from Tema and about 30mins from Accra. This area is right off the coast so its very close to the beach. They have some beautiful affordable Ghanaian homes in this area if you are looking for a place to rent in Ghana. This is an area to consider because of how serene and quiet it is.

    Like everything else in Ghana, it will only take just a little effort from local government and property owners to make Ghana beautiful.
    Property owners must plant trees (fruits and flowers) inside and outside their compounds. Local authority must fix the roads - even palm kernel shells can replace gravels. We need Home Owners Associations who will challenge the local authorities. Public servants don't understand their responsibilities and no one holds them accountable.
    One Ghanaian, one tree 🌴

      Ghana is beautiful the way it is coming from a American. What does the cement roads do ? Is it better for rainy season? Or just for the looks. In America the south has dirt roads only the city has cement/ pavement. People like the country life more quiet more space and privacy more soil to plant

      @@ishaw9894 The compounds inside these walled homes are manicured but there is neglect of the common areas outside the walls. I can't wait to launch my landscaping business. If someone beats me to it, fine. HOAs or Resident Associations will speed up development.

    Jasmine, if any of your viewers can share it with Abena Dapaah that if her ministry (Sanitation) and Dan Kweku Botwe's (local authority) would like to team up to make Ghana the cleanest African country, then they should pay attention to: 1. Sidewalks - cover the gutters; 2. Trees - promote tree planting everywhere, and 3. Signposts and Kiosks - move them off the pavement and ensure they are organized. Local authority can fine indiscriminate location of signboards and kiosks.

    • @fiomenyodjugba6317
      @fiomenyodjugba6317 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why gutters gutters? The streets can be designed to drain into bigger covered drains. The streets must be slightly converse in structure and the elevated sides bordering the side walks direct the flow of water to the receptacles. Much cleaner and practical. The gutters only collect trash and debris and in addition serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

      Spot on Nana. I would also say the planning authority need to zone off areas allowable for trading so that the nightmare of having an unruly neighbor potentially tuning their garage into a pub or supermarket can be controlled along with the noise pollution that comes with it. then and only then will the communities in Ghana transform. Lastly for a country as green as Ghana is, what is this passion for artificial turf???

    • @NanaKNOwusu
      @NanaKNOwusu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sandraagyemang9099 Well said Sandra. I bet the challenge is with supervision of the workforce because all the funds invested in artificial turfs could be used to employ more parks and gardens staff. Too many decisions are politically driven with the parties trying to outdo each other instead of long term planning.

      Roads, water, infrastructure are the responsibility of the Goverment who collect taxes for such things. When you have dirt roads in the middle of the city at this time, the Goverment isn't doing the job they were elected to do. What are they doing with the taxes collected, oil and minerals wealth?

      @@realtruth3731 there are roads being built across the country also ghana is a developing country which means that no all the roads are built. Moreover, here in ghana many people build their own homes and once the place is built up the build the roads.

    I forgot to add from my other comment is I noticed two ✌ things the people who eent or owning that neighborhood is doing a lot of the road improvements themselfs by adding sidewalks and adding gravel in front of their homes.. Second in this area it appears to have trash pick-up. The area doesn't have litter everywhere. That means growth and pride in a community. Very Nice.

If it is true I wonder why nobody has invented a different solution to the problem when I believe Ghana has so many great engineers👍🏿
