To my ears (listening through the Corsair HS65 headset) the Pebble has a higher, cleaner/clearer overall sound, but less boom in the bass, whereas the G2000 are the exact opposite, noticeably better bass hit, but the overall audio is more muddied/muffled.
I bought the G2000 yesterday and i was a little disappointed. It's not as loud as i expected based on the multiple TH-cam reviews. The sub out is actually a stereo line out. The rattling at full volume is due to chuffing sound from the bass reflex port.
I saw this 2 speaker being recommended to me. But seeing how you compare their sounds side to side I can say that the Creative Pebble sounds much better for me. Thank you for testing both in highest volume setting. Edifier sounds like it is inside a dome while the Creative one really blast the sounds which I really like for my speaker. Also, the Minimalist design and a single wire to connect and power the Creative speaker is what sold me. I was never the RGB type and it needs 2 connection.
I would bet the rattling on the Edifier is caused by the speaker trying to reproduce lower frequencies than its designed for. It has a sub out, which tells me it is designed to be used with one. I'd be interested in knowing if lows are cut on these if a sub is plugged in. It would make sense to do so, since there is some kind of internal equalization capability, which is why there are separate movie, game and music modes that either boost or cut frequencies.
I just got the edifier g2000 speakers. Mostly because they are self powered which i wanted to spare my laptop from powering one more periferal lol. I was putting it through its paces yesterday and never noticed any rattle or even background static while using them so far, im wondering if it was particular to those individual speakers you got. Im thrilled by their sound, especially the bass which i can make even better with a subwoofer later if I want it. I like the subdued lights on it too. Im not a huge rgb fan especially when they are constantly changing, to me its distracting so a solid blue that isnt too bright is nice to me. I almost got the pebbles but it was the active speakers and options on the g2000s that sold me on the extra cost. I just love that we who dont have hundreds to spend on just speakers can have some really decent optons that sound great
@@Berkay-xl4hu I think so too. I've used them quite a bit and never hear anything other than the sound. I thought I heard background buzzing once but it turned out it was the fan on my Nintendo switch I had docked nearby. The speakers are so dead silent besides the sound you want, it made the switch sound loud lol
Funny, I'd want laptop powered speakers as I don't want to stretch the wires to an outlet and have more and longer wires. Though I am a liar as I just bought the Pebble Pro's and they use a 20W USB outlet (by choice). I'm a hot mess.
Thank you Sir for Actually Testing the Speakers for us so we get a feel for the Sound! So many Creators just talk endlessly not really letting us hear how they sound
Nice review! The song you chose works really well to show different sound frequencies. The Pebble does definitely sound tighter but lacking in bass compared to the G2000... It almost seems like it could be like an some older Sennheiser headphones vs Beats headphones. Thank you for the review!
Just ordered the pebble v3 purely based on price and yes because they’re white! 😂 … have a white setup and my creative T20 series 2 were an eyesore being black & yellow so fingers crossed they compliment my setup. Great informative review but would have tested on desk rather than the boxes 👍🏻🇬🇧
I came here to find out which is the better sound and in the end, the video proves nothing and just wasted my entire time. sorry but why do a comparison video if theres no outcome. We cannot tell when we are not there. :(
maybe it's better not to turn on the music, but a tone generator? But yall should keep in mind that your equipment, through which you listen to music, n the microphone that is being recorded, also introduces its own frequency response distortion.
I am interested in the Pebble v3 for the price. But I don't want to put them on my desk surface. I want them above my monitor, on a shelf directly above the monitor. Can I position these so they point DOWNWARDS, since they are angled 45 degrees to point up by default?
I thought about various ways to get it off my desk and I don't think it's possible to correctly position them since there are no mounting point on the Pebble.
For desk surface speakers the pebble V3 is the best option and, if your desk is big enough, go for the edifier mr4. In your case of putting the speakers above on a shelf, I highly recommend using only edifier speakers, or bookshelf speakers for short. There is a reddit called budget audiophile which give the best recommendations. Some of these include the Edifier 1280DB which can go for $120AUD or lower if second hand. The edifiers are by far the best speakers in terms of sound quality and positioning (bookshelf), bass and clearness (?). Regarding your suggestion to point them downwards, that would be difficult on a bookshelf. I suppose this could be done if you mount the to the top corners of your wall with a downward mountain. Either way, with edifier speakers the sound will hit your ears quite fine no matter how high it is.
idk maybe I don't hear what others are hearing. The music to me sounds like it was in a tunnel with the Pebble's and the Bass was flat. It didn't quite pump like the edifiers did. But that's my opinion.
I don't know what's wrong with your unit but I just watched other videos and the g2000 just outperforms the v3 and even the pebble pros and the pebble 2.1 version by a great margin.
The most annoying thing about the pebble is that the cable between the speakers is fixed. You can't extend the size by purchasing a longer cable, it's fixed. So you are very much limited. But in saying that the pebble are the only speaker that I have found that has a single USB cable. This comes in handy when you have two computers and you use a switch.
Now compare Edifier G2000 with Pebble Pro!!! Eveyone is searching for this comparison ;) and test them on desk without boxes anymore, maybe a decibel test also, and make sure to connect Pebble Pros to a 30w charger with PD3.0
I just got my g2000's in the mail fm ebay and they don't work. They weren't packed good. So I'm not buying a product that when bumped doesn't power up.
To my ears (listening through the Corsair HS65 headset) the Pebble has a higher, cleaner/clearer overall sound, but less boom in the bass, whereas the G2000 are the exact opposite, noticeably better bass hit, but the overall audio is more muddied/muffled.
edifier way better
The recording conditions are very bad, the drivers are directed in different directions, so in no case should this test be considered serious.

The rattling at full volume is due to chuffing sound from the bass reflex port.
The box is not the best base for a speaker. This could explain the outcome of this side-to-side, as Edifier has a much bigger box.
if your a bass lover go for g2000..if you love clarity go for pebble

Well also it’s pointed at a 45 degree angle but yea you right creative is better and cheaper

how's the sound for pebble pro?better than pebble v3? more bassy?@@Tijgert

Isn't the cardboard box underneath them improving the sound of the speakers?
There's a rattle because it is sitting on a box.
As well as Pebble, and it doesn't have that problem.
@@Tvv1SteR because its got no bass
@@nikwh0 Neither G2000.
@@Tvv1SteR just judging from this video, it has at least stronger bass than the Pebble.
@@Tvv1SteRedifier box is bigger. With a plastic handle were the cut out is. That probably explains the rattle.
For the price, the V3 is hands down the best desktop speaker set out there.
It's not, just watch other videos, it outperforms the v3 and other pebble pros (even the 2.1 version) by a great margin.
@@Berkay-xl4hu For the price. I understand that Edifier are great, but the price isn't accessible by all. I don't deny that Edifiers are great BIFL.
Edifier M201BT are priced as 50 and are 2.1.
It’s gets beaten by most 2/3 way speakers with or WITHOUT a subwoofer

i switched my edifire for Pebble V3...V3 are more clearer and less wires to deal with
What EQ settings did you have on for the Edifier? It sounds way more bassy
Just the video I was looking for. Thanks!

what are you talking about... the difference is so clear... use an earphone or headphone
Edifier has a much fuller bass and the pebbles actually have a little better highs
I have both and the edifier is by far better.
Yes! The bass is greater

Definitely the V3. I will order one right now on Amazon (not kidding). Thanks!!!!
tf u mean. Edifier sound way better
@@24kCookieMusicnah it’s way more expensiver than the pebbles and the creative shoots the sound out way more at a 45 degree angle

I use speakers for sound so I don't need lights. Is the USB - C providing enough power for the high gain function?
There are three equalizer settings for the Edifier: gaming, movie and music. Which setting did you use?
What is this comparison? 40 dollars vs 110?
Sanyun sw 208 or edifier g2000? Im choosing one of them ....

Hi can you give me the title of the beat/music that you used for the sound test? thankyou!
is it okay to powered up the speakers via usb plug in extension cords?
I appreciate the comparison and great vid.
Hey, You have had pebble plus 2.1 as well, what do you think about the sound quality of pebble v3 compared to it?
The sub on the 2.1 makes a difference in sound. I think it come down to the extra wires and Bluetooth.
@@techbyleon meaning the 2.1 is better right?
Watch the video on YT pebble 2.1 vs Edifier G2000 the edifier makes the 2.1 sound like tin cans.

I am struggling with the single cable as well. My desk is pretty big and it barely stretch all the way. 🙁
whats that song you used
Should try the Pebble Pro model. Won't match white in fact I am preplexed why they chose Green (dark Forest green that looks black)
good comparison i would choose v3
Pebble sounds brighter, cleaner and has a better audio stage with blanced bace. edifiers neat but at same price point i would return them

I would but the pebble Pro is Green 😒
Ive had both. G2000 are in a different league for sound quality absolutely no comparison. Dont waste your money on the pebbles.

Bought mine yesterday, G2000 is really good.
Hey what song is being played?
Summer Story Trip 🎶
very nice comparison... G2000 deeper, Pebble is brighter
pebble just isnt loud enough…….
KEEP YOUR PROGRESS.GOOD REVIEW
幾個月前剛購入,強烈的推薦V3,便宜又好用。
please can i use this edifier g2000 for my home studio for mixing vocals ?
Creative pebble or G1000 ?
Pebble
The Pebble sounds a lot better to me.
We come for a review and you don't tell us which one you like? What's the point of your review?
RGB means red, green and blue. Not "rainbow".
Your video looks amazing
Creative Pebble V3 nice voice!!
Спасибо за сравнение, как-раз думал о приобретении одной из этих колонок. Остановился на creative, правда v1.

Creative Pebble V3 👍
Creative it's way better
it's crazy that the pebble can be had for $35 or $20 without bluetooth.
The Creative Pebble is better !!!!
did you attempt a whole 10 mins speaker review setting the speakers on hollow carboard boxes? And sitting behind them the whole time? channel blocked
He's listening to the back of the speakers? Hmmm.
My mic is in the front. I’m pointing the speaker towards the mic
The creative sounds better and retail for cheaper price. Thanks for the video!
No problem!
ur stupid. Edifier sounds way better because of rich bass
When I heard "USB Input and Aux input" I was nahhhhh Don't talk to me. just be dumb and play music like the G3 lol.
Of course the one connected via wired would sound better rather than the one on bluetooth.. this is not a good review.. what a waste of time
I’ll comment for the algorithm, good video
ha!
Good job. V3 win😊
Definitely pebble
Edifier is more expensive
I am now reminded that DanucD track exists and can be used copyright free as long as you don't turn it to your own personal money making machine 😂
Grato video
Video is useless. This gus can't be serious....smh
Edifier sounds s****
edifier soset
both models are crap
So, what do you suggest instead ?
I'm looking for something with a similar compact size.
fr suggest something if youre so sure about it?
