One of the magic Lancia rally cars, probably the most iconic for its incredible design. As an Italian I sorely miss the Lancia rally epic, I grew up watching the Lancia Martini team just ruling it with the Fulvia, Stratos, 037, S4 and Delta Integrale. Sadly those days are over, who knows when a heir to the genius that was Cesare Fiorio will appear and take us back to that glory.
Superb compilation showing Seb Perez not holding back in this rallying icon. IMO the best looking and sounding rally car of all time. I'm old enough to remember the works Stratos's out on the Lombard RACs in the 70's.....................inspiring me to get out and watch in 2025!!!
ABSOLUTELY INSANE to see that cars like the Stratos are driven this way nowadays! The Lanica Stratos is the dream car of my life since I'm about 6 years old. As today it's a bit out of my budget I bought a GR Yaris as my ride and to have fun with it. (This fits my budget a bit more... ;-> ) What a fantastic video. THNX 4 uploading it.
Guys, someone please go and tell this gentleman, this car is 50 years old :D .. insane driving, insane sound, I really have shivers watching it .. its like back in 70s, just the video quality is from 21 century. I love it.
Not sure about that, I think Perez is wasting a lot of time throwing it around like a Mk2 Escort, the works drivers were very clean and generally let the chassis do the work without forcing it, the short wheelbase and mid-engine center of mass naturally rotating the car with little input, unlike the effort Perez is putting in.
Yeah, ok, and Munari and Darniche were what exactly? I think Perez is wasting a lot of time throwing it around like a Mk2 Escort BTW, the works drivers were very clean and generally let the chassis do the work without forcing it.
Taking a lightweight fibreglass Italian car with a highly stressed Ferrari engine through rough Welsh forest roads at ridiculous speeds. What could possibly go wrong? So glad that someone did it though.❤
What a car, I can still hear the sound in my head from the 1980s, I remember as a stratos was approaching us about a mile away from us one of the marshals said, what the f___ was that
You can see why these cars were so revered 'back in the day', as they are so nimble & quick..:)) I've heard though that the peddles are 'off-set',...is this true? As it must make for an 'interesting' drive...lol..:))
.....oh I forgot to mention, my current car has the same Italian styling company badge on it's sides just like this car..:)) Can you guess what it is?? Apparently my car is a 'future classic', as being an 06 it's just not that old enough yet to be considered a 'full classic'. I've taken 'Charlie' as I call my car to two local car shows now, and I have been the only car there on both occasions. They were quite a common site on UK roads not that long ago, but are obviously a rare site these days, with lots being very sadly scrapped apparently. I've seen just a handful-(5 or less) on the road in my now two & half to three years of ownership, and I would highly recommend one to anyone whom is thinking of buying/purchasing one,....as they are truly 'great' within the summer months..;) and absolutely amazing for the other three seasons.
It's a six cylinder symphony in the forest. A glorious sound, brilliantly driven and well captured too. Thanks for sharing.
That sums up the Stratos perfectly Lancia's 6th in flatout
Rallying is art, especially with stunners like this

What makes you think it's a real one (apart from the sound)? Could be a replica chassis.
❤questo è quello che volevo vedere e sentire .. 🏆🏆

She might be 50 but she is still young - I’m 67 and remember them in the 70’s unreal 😅
Same here, I feel chills watching this, the Stratos will always be my favorite car.
A stunning video. Great camera work, great driving and oh the sound!
Sounds awesome reminds me of burtons pug
The best thing about it is there's someone who's willing (and capable) to drive it properly

There were only ever 2 people that could actually drive a Stratos on gravel..Alen and Waldegaard...now Seb Perez!❤
Whatt ????
ONE *SANDRO MUNARI*
Yeah, ok, and Munari and Darniche were what exactly?

@@markmark5269Exactly
@@markmark5269 Tarmac drivers...?
@@TheEnigma64 Nope, on topic, I am referring to dirt. Plenty of TH-cam videos to support my contention.

what a hero i wish WRC was like this then i would watch it
Winning post. Been involved in rallying through Dad since the 60s, what a joke is is now.
Lovely stuff. Thank you.
The only sound track a Rally video needs.❤❤❤
Fabulous, estupendo, kolossal, fantastique !!
Top video. Top Stratos.
Thank
Armando
Had to come back for the sound
The Stratos would do well in a Mad Max film.
Honestly, I don't think they were driven this hard back in the day 👌
@@garyclarke1086 A joy to behold 😍
Gorgeous little wiggle on 48 plus seconds to set the car up for the nxt corner ❤
4:04 That sound is insaaaannne !!
独創的なスタイリング、官能的なエクゾストノート…
何時までも名車のランチア٠ストラトス😆👍
Interesting that he's throwing it around like a Mk2 Escort. Certainly not how Munari, Alen and Darniche etc drove them.
What a F-ing beast to hear this, makes the current rally cars looking like a bunch of whaleing potatoes.

What a screamer
Is that 12 or 24 valves in that Dino V6 2.4L ?
ごめん 格好良いしか出てこない…❤
What exactly happened to the Stratos on final stage.
Water pump failure
Farrkk.... there's some hard driving in this video! Stratos parts must be easy to find...!
God bless your heart for not adding stupid background music
Straaaaaaatos💚🤍❤️

Not driven one, but sat in 2 of them, and yes, the peddle offset is hilarious to clear the front wheel.
Incredible car sounds awesome so well balanced anyone know what engine this one has 👍
This is proper Rallying . Not thr crap of the Wrc nowadays. Perhaps the manufacturers might take note.
