Why does Mark’s screen keep freezing? Can’t he get in better WiFi location if he’s going to do this show?

Time waits for no man. Ace was left behind in the 1980’s . Steve Brown should name the next song or album “ Back to the Future”. Steve elevated Ace into the next level of song writing and getting a great team behind. Who gives a shit who wrote it. Its arena rock and will be relevant at hockey games in 2038. Mark my words. Please don’t let Ace to another “ Origins album” .

Ace is going to at least do one more origins because he's already finished another.

This gave me some perspective. It is true that EVERY contemporary record uses vocal processing. It usually happens without the artists knowledge. I hated auto tune, but About 10 years ago I went to Recording Arts Institute of Saskatoon and what I learned was if you capture an artist and you have an amazing take that captures the passion of the artist but the tuning was a bit out on a note, it’s perfectly ok to correct it. It’s amazing that ace can still perform this well in the studio. He’s got some heat he was missing in the past few albums after Space Invader. Proud of ace! Proud to be a fan. Just wish I was bright enough to buy the album.

I have skipped most of the Ace stuff released after Frehley's Comet, but his new album is really awesome!

Steve's great at handling the questions and definitely seems to have his head on straight as a producer , side note for the origins volume 3 let's get Tommy Thayer on a tune!

The exploding catchy hooks on this album have been missing on an Ace record since Dynasty/Unmasked albums. Never cared for Ace's singing but I'll give him a pass for a 72 year old musician. The songs are solid and I've listened to the cd non stop. Steve Brown is a cool dood and knows his shit!

Ace is Ace..he aint Prince. That being said any artist that wants a great album will be flexible enough to do what it takes to make it happen.

So basically...Ace wrote next to nothing on this album?

Nope, not at all what was said.

@@MichaelBrandvold That is exactly what was said. Steve said "95 percent of the ideas were mine"

    • @MichaelBrandvold

@@michaeld.gianelli8725 exactly…. A idea is not the same as Steve wrote all the songs and played all the guitars. You bring in ideas and then work on them to turn them into finished songs. That is how ALL bands work in the studio… people bring in ideas, the good ideas are kept and worked on to finish them.

Thank you for the reply. It just seems that Steve really was the main writer to the recording. Either way. It is a great record @@MichaelBrandvold Always enjoy your discussions on , not just KISS, but music . Keep it rocking gentlemen.
