The antidote of the state of "further from God" is listening to real authentic gospel.. which grows your spirit in alignment to Holy Spirit.. never affected by location, your status, situation, lack or plenty etc so many superficial preaching everywhere and may power of Christ lead you to real truth and right teachers of the Word.. eg abel damina, Mensa, Liz Guchu and many others.. you understand God from the core

Girl, to restore that fire and first love you once had with God, first do a spring cleaning in your life. Get rid of things that separate you from God e.g. secular music, secular friendships (we are called not to be in unequally yoked relationships), secular lifestyle and anything else where God isn't glorified. Just sit down and journal your life as you take stock of everything then be honest with yourself on whether any of those aspects of your life are drawing you closer or further away from God. Then seek to transform those areas. Surround yourself with Godly friends, find a christian community to be planted in (christian clubs in school or in your hood or Bible study groups), immerse yourself in the word and gospel music. Do not forget this God who took you out of Misri onto the promised land, and He continues to bless you. Lastly, remember there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Do not condemn yourself, because God isn't condemning you. Pick yourself up for your Father's arms are wide open ready to receive you because He misses you too and loves you so much Terry.
