This is absolutely fantastic! The LAREL Panda was the car which probably started the success of electric cars in Norway with the help of the singer of the successful norwegian pop group A-ha, Morten Harket. I am also currently involved in a project with a Zagato Zele too, but can't talk about it as per yet unfortunately. I am in the early stages of organising a big electric car meet with some historical elements too, so I might probably want to meet you sooner than you think in that very electric cars section of the PS Speicher! Well done on the video, and of course also for reviewing the Henney KW thoroughly!
Thank you for also covering the Holtzenblitz I remember reading about it in an early 1990's automotive guide and it was featured in the concept cars of the year... 1993/1994-ish I believe because it was being designed around the same time as the Smartmobile Speedster prototype was announced. I always hoped it would be produced too but alas...
Around the year 2000 a Canadian company based in Toronto wanted buy up and rebuild 20,000 of the Renault Dauphines from across the world and relaunch them as electric commuter cars with about 100-mile range for about $20,000 CAD. I thought it was a great idea and I really wanted it to succeed but the project sort of went nowhere despite the concept being more popular than ever in 2024... Frankly I wish one automaker would be bold enough to launch a line of retro-futuristic cars like this but you know with perhaps upgraded safety features like airbags, roll cages, etc.
Feel Good Cars which became the now defunct Zennn Motors. I still have the copy of Canadian Geographic magazine on it on my shelf... Wikipedia only briefly touches on the subject en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZENN_Motor_Company@@petrolpunx
Thanks Benni! A very interesting video! I'd never heard of the Henney Kilowatt before.
Thanx so much. It is very unique!
