@@paulreed3716 Yes, I was a bit unimpressed myself when I took the first item out. But!! the second carb I did there is a small jet (tube) in the carb body which is a swine to clear out. Even soaking in cleaning fluid for a few days did not clear it. 30 mins in the ultrasonic, means I can now blow straight through. So, well happy with that. But I believe you should clean the item first and then use it as a final intense clean.
Yes, I am trying as many different things as I can. It is a new science to me. the biggest problem, is there is so many types of cleaning fluid. I will try and find one that works for engine bits carbs etc.
@@RestorationBiker yeah sounds good if i had the time and money id try one with sodium hydroxide and give it a rinse then in for a 2nd clean in aluminum brightener
I've got a pretty small jewelry ultrasonic cleaner thats good for carb jets and little bits but can't quite get a carb body in it.
Yes, I have seen those little ones they would be perfect for jets and very small brackets.
congrats .
Thank you, I am already using this constantly.
Very unimpressed.would simply clean with spirits first
Electric chip pan with a sander trapped to the side of it works great 😂
@@RetroYamaha Wow, that sounds great. I like it when people find easy ways to do things

might be a bit dangerous be a good idea to keep it on the floor but a little sodium hydroxide would work wonders

@@Billskins4dayz Yes that sounds great. It is amazing what can be done if you know what items do what. It is a constant learning curve.
