Harrier needs 2 things badly : 1) connected car tech. 2) Rear seat centre adjustable headrest. (Also some ambient lighting like in gravitas). It will truly be very strong contender for every car in the segment in that case.

If the features like connected car facility, electrically adjustable front seats, power tale gate are added to Harrier, definitely it will rule the segment. Infact these features are expected in this price range. Still it's one of my favourite SUV
The halogens gives better visibility, better throw for longer distance than the LEDs Faisal. Also, in the Highways, the halogens Don cause much of eye flash during night driving, whereas the LEDs cause 90% blindness to the opposite driver. Tata has brilliantly used the mix of Xenon and Halogen....it's not a Cost cutting. Infact LEDs are cheaper than Halogens. Even the Toyota Innova has the same mix. Low beam Xenon and High beam Halogen..Pls don't tell anything rubbish without knowing the stuff actually. Try to appreciate the Indian OEMs. Most Indian prefer the same .Hence, comment here I'm wrong Mr.Faisal. If I'm correct, put like for me friends.
With the next gen Xuv500 coming soon I hope Mahindra have analysed the market. Koreans giving great features (Creta, Seltos) + ride and handling should be similar to the Harrier only then can Mahindra set a benchmark and it should happen cause Mahindra is entering the segment late.

I was a huge harrier fan,especially of the second edition, even booked one before test driving it, but after the test drive, had to cancel it....reasons 1)my left knee was invaded by the center console, every time I used the clutch (I am 6.2) 2) inferior quality of the switch gear,my test drive vehicle was 9000 kms old ,some of the buttons stopped working (eco and power mode) some were broken (seat recline adjusting know for the driver) and some were discolored (start/stop button) 3) underwhelming AC performance, I did the test drive for 90 min ,had the AC at 18°and the fan at level 5, it was at 11am , after 90 min ,I had a sweaty, sticky, back and the rear AC vents are vestigial!! 4)it is lacking some very handy and useful features a) ventilated seats, for our harsh Indian climate b) heated orvms c) rear disc brakes d) powered tail gate... 5) the infotainment system is too small to operate while you are on a move, if I had to change the bass or treble on the music system or even touch the back logo on the screen, it is really difficult and cannot be done in one attempt, the screen is too small,it becomes worst if u use apple carplay or android auto......having said that ,the ride quality, handling,suspension are top of the line ,courtesy massive tires and omega arc .....and finally the new face-lift of mg hector with its 18 inch wheels and improved body roll management swayed me towards MG .......heartbroken!!

@@Torquebeast650 when i go to my home town in monsoons there is a pool of mud on road which only cars with 4*4,awd or a car like harrier which is just fwd but has terrain modes can pass through.Rest all cars will get stuck and they need to choose different route and park car somewhere else, so i think its useful.But thar is an offroad machine while harrier is a good crossover SUV

If harrier can do it other FWDs can do it too , ofcourse other cars would have some trouble but they'll make it
If the features like connected car facility, electrically adjustable front seats, power tale gate are added to Harrier, definitely it will rule the segment. Infact these features are expected in this price range. Still it's one of my favourite SUV

The halogens gives better visibility, better throw for longer distance than the LEDs Faisal. Also, in the Highways, the halogens Don cause much of eye flash during night driving, whereas the LEDs cause 90% blindness to the opposite driver. Tata has brilliantly used the mix of Xenon and Halogen....it's not a Cost cutting. Infact LEDs are cheaper than Halogens. Even the Toyota Innova has the same mix. Low beam Xenon and High beam Halogen..Pls don't tell anything rubbish without knowing the stuff actually. Try to appreciate the Indian OEMs. Most Indian prefer the same .Hence, comment here I'm wrong Mr.Faisal. If I'm correct, put like for me friends.
With the next gen Xuv500 coming soon I hope Mahindra have analysed the market. Koreans giving great features (Creta, Seltos) + ride and handling should be similar to the Harrier only then can Mahindra set a benchmark and it should happen cause Mahindra is entering the segment late.
Is harrier reliable and durable in terms of parts ,electrical accessories and suspension. Asking this only after bitter service experience of maintenance with tata manza with same fiat sourced engine

Only one person who feels that harrier has better nvh level than hector.....other all youtubers said that hector is much refined which is not the reality....i miss only two features in harrier (ventilated seats and sunblinds like seltos).....personal opinion is that less electronics means less maintainance and electrical issues(may be thats the reason why fortuner said to be more relaible than endeavour....bt i like endeavour)

most of the harrier owners don't know this special feature that is when we drive fast the volume of the music increases and when we decrease the speed the volume decreases. It is a good feature though...

I was a huge harrier fan,especially of the second edition, even booked one before test driving it, but after the test drive, had to cancel it....reasons 1)my left knee was invaded by the center console, every time I used the clutch (I am 6.2) 2) inferior quality of the switch gear,my test drive vehicle was 9000 kms old ,some of the buttons stopped working (eco and power mode) some were broken (seat recline adjusting know for the driver) and some were discolored (start/stop button) 3) underwhelming AC performance, I did the test drive for 90 min ,had the AC at 18°and the fan at level 5, it was at 11am , after 90 min ,I had a sweaty, sticky, back and the rear AC vents are vestigial!! 4)it is lacking some very handy and useful features a) ventilated seats, for our harsh Indian climate b) heated orvms c) rear disc brakes d) powered tail gate... 5) the infotainment system is too small to operate while you are on a move, if I had to change the bass or treble on the music system or even touch the back logo on the screen, it is really difficult and cannot be done in one attempt, the screen is too small,it becomes worst if u use apple carplay or android auto......having said that ,the ride quality, handling,suspension are top of the line ,courtesy massive tires and omega arc .....and finally the new face-lift of mg hector with its 18 inch wheels and improved body roll management swayed me towards MG .......heartbroken!!

Poor choice . Toyota engine run for atleast 5 lakh km..not the fiat engine. Both hector amd harrier will have reliability issues, not like toyoto
