His voice was like those who do the Responsorial Psalm at Holy Mass and it really sounds good, eargasm as they say. He also got that old sounding vibratto which makes the song sound good, ganda din ng mga low notes nya. Good decision for choosing Familea! Goodluck on the next round.

people have always sung in their local languages, hindi lang ganu'n nasikat and naknown kasi more people prefer mainstream :)
@@user-kx6fw8ub9g
Cebuano/bisaya is going mainstream.. whiich is not surprising. For one, kpop nga (absolutely foreign language) tinatangkilik, local language pa kaya like bisaya lol
For another, bisaya is actually the second biggest philppine language with about 23M native speakers. Close second to tagalog which has 26M native speakers, and ahead of ilocano (abt 12M) and ilonggo (close to 8M)
Hopefully umangat din ibang local languages at umabot din sa mainstream like whats happening to cebuano/bisaya now
Hiligaynon po kasi ilonggo is tao
Bisaya music industry is very much alive. They even have annual song fest.
Perfect voice, perfect pitch, perfect interpretation, perfect stage presence, perfect face value, perfect attitude.

"Kanimo da"ibig sabihin po,sa iyo lang or para sa yo lang😁😁
Cebuanos love this song "Usahay" which literally means "sometimes" in English. It is very popular in the whole Visayas and Mindanao and even Miss Pilita Corales has its own version of this song.
@Macaria Elle I agree with you
I think the title of his song is Originally Waray language which means..... Sometimes...? Anyway,He sung it very well....I love the outcome and the voice quality...Lami ug nindot paminawon...

Very refreshing. This is how you really judge the voice quality of a person pag kumakanta siya in a dialect na hindi mo naiintindihan. Pure musicality ang labanan.
The eyes, the smile, the pearly white teeth, the song, and the VOICE! Oh, wow, JP Romero, you're my bet! Congratulations! 😍

The melody brings me back those summer breaks memories that my lola always play this song if she wants us to sleep in the afternoon....
The translation of "usahay" is not so much literally "sometimes" but nearly "now and then", "seem always" or "then as always". It is used poetically in the song. Time is always liquid or differential when the Visayan associate it with love. The two lady judges are the attestation of this poignancy and it is also a confirmation of their high soul-talents and superior aesthetic tastes. The rendition is viscerally superb.
viscerally, that got me. :) very well put. and oo tinuod gyud, dili gyud na sometimes ang context ana nga kanta. :)
What you translate all means KANUNAY. Usahay is literally sometimes....
@@gabrieliligan1416 your right
Usahay means sometimes
And kanunay means always
Sometimes in Visaya usahay
Now and then in Bisaya karun ug unya

great vocal the timing and the tone was so amazing and i am proud of being bisaya.. great job jp.. 😍👌👌
Such renditions inspired me to appreciate visayan songs and even songs of different languages aside from english and filipino. Filipino songs in native dialects somehow teach Tagalogs to explore songs beyond their tongue. This renditions from a fine looking man mingled with good vocals really exudes with tonal sweetness which really beckons the listener to finish the song because of the smoothe delivery and transitions.
I remember my mom and dad. Huhu. Parati nilang kinakanta to. Im crying. Miss you both in heaven. 😭
