This is great but it would be quite helpful if their was another hammer combo but I suppose that's just how hammer is.

Unlike most weapons, Hammer is a 'HEHE BONK' type of weapon rather than a wild combo one. You smack them in the jaw, and you profit!

Because you haven't gravity canceled successfully, try pressing Sig button and gravity cancel button at the same time
