The MAEE Formula M = Market Structure tells you what you should do. Is the market in an uptrend? If yes, then BUY Is the market in a downtrend? If yes, then SELL A = Area of Value Tells you where to buy or where to sell; where you should be trading You want to be buying at Support You want to be selling at Resistance Moving Average, Trend Line, etc. E = Entry Trigger Tells you when to enter the trade The candlestick patterns tell you when to enter a trade Bullish patterns: Hammer and Bullish Engulfing (Buyers are temporarily in control, able to push the price up) Bearish patterns: Shooting Star and Bearish Engulfing (Sellers are temporarily in control, able to push the price down) E = Exit Place a stop loss to exit when you’re wrong Place SL away from area of value Give your trade room to breath 1 ATR (Average True Range) below the low (when buying) or high (when shorting) When to sell when you’re right (take profit) If swing trading, suppose price is trading in a range, exit trade just before opposing pressure comes in. Alternatively, if you think it might break out of the range and go further up, and you are long, you might sell a percentage (say half) and capture the profits of the swing trade and with the remaining half, ride the trend up. You would do this if the analysis of a higher time frame tells you that the price is about to breakout, eg. a low heart beat on a MACD Histogram. If riding a trend - trail the stop loss and ride the uptrend. Eg. use a Chandelier Stop.

It seems Forex Trading doesn't get affected by these events, you likely to make money even in a crisis. It is worth investing in such a skill that can make money for you regardless of the situation. If you really think about it, we spend so much in a second college degree but we get almost no return but we could invest that money in forex trading skills and open a door of opportunities.

You'll be good man. Just keep it simple and your charts clean then add on when you have mastered the basics. Have your rules and stick to them; if they work, good; if they dont, good (learn from them, now you know what not to do). 🐢

Rayner at 8:18 of your presentation you show Bearish patterns on the slide and show the inverted hammer and bullish engulfing as examples. I think you want to say inverted hammer as a two candle pattern.reversal pattern which is bullish not bearish. I also think you wanted to show bearish engulfing and not bullish engulfing. For a second bearish you could use a shooting star as an example or dark cloud cover or others.
Hey Rayner, it is possible to go to profit with this setup when you have to wide stoploss and too small profit target this strategy should have 60-70% wins over looses, Am I right ?

Hey Rayner, great video. To your exit strategies you mentioned stop loss as one when you're wrong. I'd like to add stop loss also when you're right. Here are two exits I just had last month, see CBPX, & CORT, both exiting by trailing stop loss when I was right and up a good amount. Now I have to admit that's it's a little unusual, but it happens occasionally. I'd used a 2 ATR for my stop loss, CORT reversed violently, the trail kept me in close to the top.

Day trading is an inherently flawed pursuit. No matter what technical indicators that you are using, it's important to remember that they are derivatives of the past. It's a cute hobby, but ultimately you are setting yourself up for failure long term unless you've already written off the loss to cost of entertainment. The only time I think about day trading is when I purchase a stock that is down near a low during high volatility. I always purchase a stock with the intent of holding for a minimum of 3 years, so if there is a significant spike during this moment of volatility I may consider selling to lock in profits. This is with the intent of re-entering the trade as the volatility brings it back down, and holding this for the long term. I appreciate the videos and the enthusiasm, but this is yet another exercise of the blind leading the blind. You are setting yourself up for failure in the long term by participating in day trading. The risk is too high. I wonder how many people actually factor in the lost opportunity labor cost involved with watching the market during primetime business hours. Set your money in an index fund, spend your time during the day building capital in other pursuits.
I really loved this video. I have seen videos that talks about support and resistance, candlestick patterns, trendlines, MA's as isolated trading strategies but this video combines them all as a more robust trading strategy. What I really loved is how clear you made everything because every decent trading plan has rules for entry and exit. Thank you for this amazing work. The TAE framework was developed earlier but the MAEE formula is more detailed as we identify market structure and have a planned exit. Something the TAE formula didn't take into account.
