As an Irishman I've grown up watching this man destroy us until we found our way in the mid 00s and began to emulate England.... Laurence and Martin Johnson were absolute beasts and though Johnson was a bit rough round the edges for many tastes LD was a gent and a gladiator to the last....I would equate him to our Paul O' Connell 💪 Legend! Ironically what he said about Brian O'Driscoll didn't have legs , poor BOD out for the count inside first 5mins following that infamous spear from Tanga Omaga 😭
As a Brit, hear hear. The old England team of yester year were superb but the Irish team of this current era are absolutely brilliant! Here's to the RWC near year sir!
I'm English and although I smart about that result at Croke Park - I saw POC's performance that day as some dude you would follow through brick walls . They said about Johnson's charisma that they would run through a brick wall for him - but you know you didn't have to because he would go through it first - POC's a dude. Dayglo was good, but he hung around too long, which I totally understand - he lived/breathed rugby. I'm glad he's a pundit now and still associated with the game. POC,BOD, Back, Dayglo, Wilko et al - in our time we've been privileged to see some players.
