  • This week I start making and assembling my new Lazybag made from a recycled sail cover.
With the temporary lazy jacks in place and a couple of PVC pipes that I bought at the hardware store the lazybag is almost done!

Coming along! So handy that Silva is close to you.I miss having all the places like sail maker and chandler near me, like I had back in the UK. At least there's a great ironmonger near my farmhouse (where the boat spends the winter).

      Hi Kirsty,
unfortunately there's absolutely nothing else around here! Portugal's market is so small that we struggle to find even the simplest things sometimes. For example buying two jam cleats cost me more in shipping than the piece of plastic is worth...
But hey... At least we have Silva around! 😁

@@SVsearambler I was definitely spoiled by ten years in the Solent - Sailing Central. Plus all the industrial and commercial boat supplies, and supporting industries, workshops and shops. Where else could you walk in and buy a prop puller, get your alternator rewound, buy sail fabric, rigging... Sigh. There were bad points, of course!!

I did go fishing a lot around Lee-on-the-Solent! Great smoothhound spot there! 😁

@@SVsearambler well, unless they keep the pvc on the roof, you probably didn't buy your pipe ON the hardware store
