Park Bom has went thru a lot of hardship and trauma and long hiatus thats why shes not really on her best condition in queendom. she lost her confidence and took a lot courage to come out in public after being witch hunted for years so i hope you guys understand her a bit 🫶🏻 shes def iconic and legendary during her PEAK idol years i hope you guys check more 2ne1 especially live stages ❤
i definately understand that, everyone has good and bad times. I tried to take that type of thing into consideration before i was sure about how i felt about her.

@@kk_sj3635also wasn’t queendom her first appearance on a show after 2ne1 disbanded. I know it was hard for her to no longer be apart of a group. Lord knows it was for me. Everybody had their group and Bom was solo. 😢. I’m happy that 2ne1 meets up and stay connected til this day because it shows that they are real friends. God 2ne1 left such a void in kpop. 😢

Yes, 2NE1 are the best! You probably heard I Am The Best in any of the following commercials, Microsoft Surface Pro 3, Adidas, Coca Cola or KIA Motors. It was song of the year in 2011. It is regarded as one of the most iconic kpop songs and 2NE1 are acknowledged as one of the most iconic kpop girl groups of all time.
2NE1 is the reason why it’s so hard for me to stan a new girl group from 3rd and 4th generation. They are my standard, specially when it comes to live performances.🤧 No girl group is closer to 2NE1, at least for me. 2NE1 is 2NE1. We want them back so bad.😔

Yes, unlike anyone who met Park Bom in queendom and have an unimpressive perception of her it is because she was not in her best condition and probably barely good.
But Let me tell you, Park Bom was the og It Girl back then.
Bom had IU-like popularity, among her peers she was the most popular, with just her debut song already make her one of the Best Selling Female Artist of all time in korea.
She was the Artist from a group to achieve Perfect-All-Kill.
Her vocal is considered National security Treasure and listening to her songs feels like luxury especially in korea.
Park Bom has that quiver / tremor in her voice that makes it special .. it's not vibrato .. just came out that way
IU has a high octave range with soft voice but I found nothing special..
Like I always pick Chris Brown over John Legend bec Brown has this feel that hit me differently and I've read many times ppl wonder why Brown still has fans after what he did to Rihanna

2ne1 is a forever iconic group... anyone who tried to cover their songs really is a big challenge to them since the charisma should be overflowing in order to deliver it really well. The first group who introduced the girl crush concept andthe first who had a world tour.
And then you see them live and it’s just……explosive. My heart already is beating fast.
The day 2ne1 debuted they literally changed girl groups. It went from sugary hello kitty pop into Girl crush mode.
Their songs didn’t depict falling in love innocently, at first sight, becoming docile or looking for gazes.
They said I’m here to Party, I don’t care about you (boy), they criticized the scrubs, said I have insecurities, say whatever you can’t hold me down, they talked about depression while being with someone. Literally all their songs resonated with everyone, even guys.
Their style sent the public into a frenzy as their clothing, hair, nails, accessories were all so shocking and new.
In a society where you must be normal to fit in 2ne1 literally slapped back and said “absolutely not”
They didn’t make much music but each song rode out the charts for months even after dropping from #1.
Their fandom was vast and large babies, children, teens, young adult, middle age, grandparents ect.
And their influence is still really high because the girls still have value.
Had they not been disbanded and helped to stay on top Blackpink wouldn’t be as big as they are today. Unfortunately I think BP got the leftovers of 2ne1.
The girls ventured outside of SK into fashion. They were the first to be endorsed and befriend upscale fashion designers and western musicians.
Nice overview. This was my first real KPop group. I did, and do love their swagger, and their voices.
"I Am the Best" was used in commercials introducing the Microsoft Surface. I had to find out who the artist was behind that song and it turned out to be these people.
I think they hold up.

Are you kidding…2ne1 is an Iconic Legendary Group. I still rewatch 😢all of their dorm and apartment living episodes. These girls are absolutely amazing even today. I watch CL🍒’s music. My favorite group now is XG and they even did a Remix of “I am the Best”. Maya and Cocona have stated in several interviews that 2ne1 was their mentors they admired.

You also know Minzy. You checked out a song or two of hers. Dara (Sandara Park) is the final member. She did come out with a song earlier this year, Festival, which was her own version of the Uhm Jung-hwa song of the same name.
Besides (G)I-DLE, you would have also seen Fire performed on Produce 101 when they did the debut songs challenge. Likely would have seen other covers as well. Kiss of Life did a cover of it a few weeks ago.
Dara's hair here was pretty tame compared to what she would do in the future.
You watched their MAMA which was their big reunion. They did Fire and I Am The Best (along with CL doing her songs first).
The one song I would recommend is Come Back Home, which is the other side of them with a more ballad song.
Ok I do know Minzy, I sometimes forget names and what group they are from if I'm not super familiar with them.
I like that this series is giving me the chance to hear all the originals of covers I heard. I know between award shows and competitions I've heard parts of a lot of older songs, but it's not the same as hearing the original lol

Being a long time big hit fanatic one thing i can say is that bts were also crazy for 2NE1 especially for Sandara Park alot of rappers during their era were crazy of her because of her cute aura and comedic personality in variety shows..they even made a verse about her on one of their earliest songs We are bulletproof when they were named as Bangtan Boys at that time.

Yeah 2NE1 - 21s- To Anyone. They’re Gen2 but they also the first girl group of YG. Their brand name “2NE1”, like Blackpink “Blackpink in your area “ so YG iconic. You can said “weird” but I said “different”. Maybe you didn’t know that 2ne1 had time worked with William (Black Eyes Peas).
The English version of Cant Nobody was my first exposure to kpop and still is one of my favorite English versions of a kpop song to this day. The video even uses some different clips
