They were the OGs on the girl crush concept. 2ne1 was also OG monster rookies. The group was the first to achieve a perfect all-kill in music charts and the first kpop girl group to do a world tour. Their influence in kpop is so huge and definitely seen in the currwnt kpop scene. Their fashion and music had a great impact in kpop in general.

2ne1 was a breath of fresh air in the kpop scene at that time where girl groups was over saturated with cutesy and sexy concept. They were different and started the girl power / bad bish theme. They were often called ugly but their live performances and stage presence was in a whole different level that made them stand out. It was a shame that YG wasn’t able to protect them.😢

YGE really dropped the ball on 2NE1 tbh…a lot of us was heartbroken because honestly QUEENS!! They were unique, talented af, incredible stage presence, their discography is 🔥🔥, and each member had their own charisma/significance that made the group just AMAZING! They all have amazing vocals too and the again have different tones and colors to it. So you basically got CL right away for the most part of the reaction in the earlier music videos she did have the blonde hair with bangs or darker blonde hair with side bangs. You mentioned that you like her rap flow. The member that usually has short hair in the majority of the 2NE1’s MVs that you will be reacting to is Minzy. As you saw, she is usually in the center of dance breaks or when it’s her part she has her own little freestyle dance. In which is always amazing live!! That woman is an incredible and versatile dancer. But you did pick up on her a lot and said that’s the MAKNAE.. yep…despite her mature dance moves, she was literally like 16-17 years old when she debuted.. some fans Nick named her ERO-maknae..which was kind of weird to me because there is even a fan site called that…the nickname itself doesn’t seem good anyways because the meaning of it. But things hasn’t change..ppl still be normalizing sexualizing idols who are minors..😡 The member who you said had a good voice was of course Queen Bom herself.. she went through a lot of difficult periods of diets and well her appearance. I honestly thought she was super pretty pre-debut. But she did go through plastic surgery which is just sad to me. I can’t imagine the amount of pressure and low self-esteem that some idols go through with expectations and beauty standards. However, Bom is literally such a character though…I love her personality and she’s just so naturally funny. Last but definitely not the least we have the visual queen herself Dara. She was the tiny member with the fit that you really liked in Fire MV. She also has unusual hairstyles in most of he MVs and she has such soft, sweet, but also crisp vocals. She literally doesn’t age..either she’s a vampire or found the foundation of youth. Most of the members are good with speaking English.. and well yeah they’re just awesome! 2ne1 never disappoints its audience. primarily originals, pioneers, inspirations, fashion queens. They do everything untested and feared. In the iamthebest music video you just watched, there was a girl group member wearing a straitjacket and looking bad. right now girl groups look gorgeous in every moment of the videos. They don't have the guts of 2ne1. They have very few songs but they are all hits. Even the worst songs that didn't win awards on competitive music shows in Korea were selling more than the songs that won on the show that month. because they were now global. They have a wide variety of edm, reggae, hiphop, rnb songs of all genres. The sounds are good quality and beautiful. their live performances are world class, they don't playback. If you go to a concert without knowing any of the 2ne1 songs, you'll probably leave with one hundred percent satisfaction. What more can I say? They weren't just a girl group or the best girl group, they were the best in kpop. no matter how famous they are, a group still hasn't come out to 2ne1's standards.

The 2NE1 song that will change your life is "It Hurts" (Bom did her thing on that) .....the video that was ahead of it's time "Come Back Home".... the concert versions "Crush", "Ugly", "It Hurts", "Can't Nobody" and "If I Were You" (written by CL) are a must watch....the acoustic (yes they did) "Lonely", "I Love You" and "Ugly" are a must watch. Then there is "Clap Your Hands" and "Missing You". They didn't do a video for this song, but "Baby, I Miss You" (written by CL) has an R&B feel to it. In other words, you reacted to the 4 and now you have to react to more in order to really get them. They are not a cookie cutter group. They are the original. Finally! This is the OG girl crush/ girl power group of K-pop. To this day, no other K-pop girl group can replace them in my heart! Everybody else wanted to copy them. Even other major girl groups tried their hand on hiphop after 2NE1 became the group to beat. They won so many awards as rookies that people's minds were blown away. They were formed as the female Bigbang, but they made a name for themselves in K-pop that could not be beaten to this day. These are legends that were treated badly by their company. They were still at their peak when their own company turned against them, which eventually led to their sudden disbandment.
Finally!!! But both FIRE Space and Street versions were both released at the same time in May 2009. SPACE Ver is my fave tho. I think Street was just reuploaded with higher res. I DONT CARE was such a hit it was No.1 for 9 weeks -- beating out SNSD. They won SONG OF THE YEAR in their debut year in MAMA, the first rookie to win a daesang. 2NE1 are trendsetters, with BIGBANG coming in 2nd. I miss them so much. They were my top girl group when I first started listening to KMUSIC in 2010. Unfortunately, YG called them ugly and cancelled them and brought in Blackpink instead. They have been through so much. They deserved better. They are the sister group of Big Bang. They are good friends to this day.

He was in 1TYM which was a hip hop boy group from YG back in the early 2000s, they also had famous hits. Teddy is mainly focusing on working with female groups both in YG and his subsidiary THE BLACK LABEL in which Somi is in it.

2NE1 are the living legends. No other female group had as big an influence on changing what a girl group is and brought more international fans to kpop than 2NE1. Their fans remain loyal and strong to this day, 6 years after they were disbanded at the height of their career. Fun fact: Mamamoo's Hwasa and Wheein are Blackjacks, they used to perform 2NE1 songs on stage in high school. Wheein has said that Park Bom was her only idol. Park Bom has said that only Mamamoo remind her of 2NE1 and even asked Wheein to collab with her on her song 4.44.

Their fashion was always over the top, cool, badass, funky, etc. I loved that they were just so different and breaking the Korean beauty standard as a group. Not your typical cutesy or super girly concept.....and I live for it. Their charisma and swag were top-notch. No girl group then, did it like them.

I miss them so much 🥲 They were groundbreaking when they debuted because they really threw out the cute concept (that was immensely popular because of Girl's Generation) and went full girl crush. They got a lot of hate because of their looks at the time and even the YG CEO at the time called them 'ugly' 😓. If you can, check out "Ugly", it's a catchy song but the lyrics break my heart. Teddy (the producer behind Blackpink) was also their main producer. They disbanded after Minzy left the company and Park Bom had a "scandal".

KPOP fans were used to the sexy and sweet image of girlgroups, then came 2NE1 who looks domineering. 🤭🤭🤭 And about them breaking CDs, well, 2NE1 won so many awards they broke their own records everytime. 2ne1 are my favorite girl group in south korea. A lot of groups were modeled after them. No other girl group has caught my attention like them. They are so original, unique and have great personalities. The space version of fire has more scenes and the outfits are nice too.
I listen to and support a lot of girl groups (more than boy groups) but 2NE1 will always be the best of the lot to me. AND I'm not talking popularity but they really were a solid group with amazing stage presense. And all four members are such genuine, accepting and nice people, I don't get folks who hated them. YG should've pushed harder for their US debut instead of pushing them to the background.

2ne1 was a breath of fresh air in the kpop scene at that time where girl groups was over saturated with cutesy and sexy concept. They were different and started the girl power / bad bish theme. They were often called ugly but their live performances and stage presence was in a whole different level that made them stand out. It was a shame that YG wasn’t able to protect them.😢
2ne1 is my ultimate girl group. This is the group that really got me into kpop. Well CL did when I found her solo song the baddest female. Now that song was on repeat foe weeks

YGE really dropped the ball on 2NE1 tbh…a lot of us was heartbroken because honestly QUEENS!! They were unique, talented af, incredible stage presence, their discography is 🔥🔥, and each member had their own charisma/significance that made the group just AMAZING! They all have amazing vocals too and the again have different tones and colors to it.
So you basically got CL right away for the most part of the reaction in the earlier music videos she did have the blonde hair with bangs or darker blonde hair with side bangs. You mentioned that you like her rap flow.
The member that usually has short hair in the majority of the 2NE1’s MVs that you will be reacting to is Minzy. As you saw, she is usually in the center of dance breaks or when it’s her part she has her own little freestyle dance. In which is always amazing live!! That woman is an incredible and versatile dancer. But you did pick up on her a lot and said that’s the MAKNAE.. yep…despite her mature dance moves, she was literally like 16-17 years old when she debuted.. some fans Nick named her ERO-maknae..which was kind of weird to me because there is even a fan site called that…the nickname itself doesn’t seem good anyways because the meaning of it. But things hasn’t change..ppl still be normalizing sexualizing idols who are minors..😡
The member who you said had a good voice was of course Queen Bom herself.. she went through a lot of difficult periods of diets and well her appearance. I honestly thought she was super pretty pre-debut. But she did go through plastic surgery which is just sad to me. I can’t imagine the amount of pressure and low self-esteem that some idols go through with expectations and beauty standards. However, Bom is literally such a character though…I love her personality and she’s just so naturally funny.
Last but definitely not the least we have the visual queen herself Dara. She was the tiny member with the fit that you really liked in Fire MV. She also has unusual hairstyles in most of he MVs and she has such soft, sweet, but also crisp vocals. She literally doesn’t age..either she’s a vampire or found the foundation of youth.

2ne1 never disappoints its audience. primarily originals, pioneers, inspirations, fashion queens. They do everything untested and feared. In the iamthebest music video you just watched, there was a girl group member wearing a straitjacket and looking bad. right now girl groups look gorgeous in every moment of the videos. They don't have the guts of 2ne1. They have very few songs but they are all hits. Even the worst songs that didn't win awards on competitive music shows in Korea were selling more than the songs that won on the show that month. because they were now global. They have a wide variety of edm, reggae, hiphop, rnb songs of all genres. The sounds are good quality and beautiful. their live performances are world class, they don't playback. If you go to a concert without knowing any of the 2ne1 songs, you'll probably leave with one hundred percent satisfaction. What more can I say? They weren't just a girl group or the best girl group, they were the best in kpop. no matter how famous they are, a group still hasn't come out to 2ne1's standards.

The 2NE1 song that will change your life is "It Hurts" (Bom did her thing on that) .....the video that was ahead of it's time "Come Back Home".... the concert versions "Crush", "Ugly", "It Hurts", "Can't Nobody" and "If I Were You" (written by CL) are a must watch....the acoustic (yes they did) "Lonely", "I Love You" and "Ugly" are a must watch. Then there is "Clap Your Hands" and "Missing You". They didn't do a video for this song, but "Baby, I Miss You" (written by CL) has an R&B feel to it. In other words, you reacted to the 4 and now you have to react to more in order to really get them. They are not a cookie cutter group. They are the original. Finally! This is the OG girl crush/ girl power group of K-pop. To this day, no other K-pop girl group can replace them in my heart! Everybody else wanted to copy them. Even other major girl groups tried their hand on hiphop after 2NE1 became the group to beat. They won so many awards as rookies that people's minds were blown away. They were formed as the female Bigbang, but they made a name for themselves in K-pop that could not be beaten to this day. These are legends that were treated badly by their company. They were still at their peak when their own company turned against them, which eventually led to their sudden disbandment.

I miss them so much. They were my top girl group when I first started listening to KMUSIC in 2010. Unfortunately, YG called them ugly and cancelled them and brought in Blackpink instead. They have been through so much. They deserved better. They are the sister group of Big Bang. They are good friends to this day.

Edit: Teddy Park is a producer in YG, he’s the man behind all the greatest hits of 2NE1 and BLACKPINK (a true genius producer!) and he also worked with iKON and BIGBANG in some of their music. He was in 1TYM which was a hip hop boy group from YG back in the early 2000s, they also had famous hits. Teddy is mainly focusing on working with female groups both in YG and his subsidiary THE BLACK LABEL in which Somi is in it.

2NE1 are the living legends. No other female group had as big an influence on changing what a girl group is and brought more international fans to kpop than 2NE1. Their fans remain loyal and strong to this day, 6 years after they were disbanded at the height of their career.
Fun fact: Mamamoo's Hwasa and Wheein are Blackjacks, they used to perform 2NE1 songs on stage in high school. Wheein has said that Park Bom was her only idol. Park Bom has said that only Mamamoo remind her of 2NE1 and even asked Wheein to collab with her on her song 4.44.

They got a lot of hate because of their looks at the time and even the YG CEO at the time called them 'ugly' 😓. If you can, check out "Ugly", it's a catchy song but the lyrics break my heart. Teddy (the producer behind Blackpink) was also their main producer. They disbanded after Minzy left the company and Park Bom had a "scandal".

I listen to and support a lot of girl groups (more than boy groups) but 2NE1 will always be the best of the lot to me. AND I'm not talking popularity but they really were a solid group with amazing stage presense. And all four members are such genuine, accepting and nice people, I don't get folks who hated them. YG should've pushed harder for their US debut instead of pushing them to the background.
