I've used old cable before and had done like you in the video. I had some issues with connectivity. What worked for me was use some flux for sweating copper water pipe. Then crimp then heat it up to sweat the fitting and cable till it is filled. Make sure you clean the remaining flux out with warm water. Then heat shrink the cable fitting... That had worked very well for me anyhow...
That’s close to what we ended up doing. I just hadn’t realized how burnt up the copper was. Soldered all the copper lugs on and she’s been working fine. I took all the dark burn copper leads and put them in the scrap bin. Lol

I was also going to ask….why is the f250 …99 so crappy in snow..?? Do i need wider tires??
