The Vantage is like a Pitbull - low, wide, muscular, growls a lot, lovely if you treat it well, but it bites you if you take liberties. Seats aren’t comfortable, aircon is not great, heavy clutch, dials hard to read in sunlight. But oh so beautiful to look at and it’s a very compact car. Length is about the same as a VW golf which means it’s not intimidating in traffic and parking it. It’s not an every day car but if you can afford two cars, it’s an incredible Sunday car. Original Vantage V8 is a challenger IMO for the most beautiful car design ever. Understated, simple, purposeful. Beautiful car.

For anyone confused by the re-appearance of Jethro and Henry, this was shot in May 2017 and we all moved on from DT over the summer, with Jethro now working for Motor Trend and Henry for Carfection. This was our last hurrah. Kudos to McLaren and Aston Martin agreeing to this test. Quite a day!
TheScreamingDonkey GT1 cars were too expensive, thats why the GT1 class died. Modern GTE cars stands very close to old GT1, some manufactures even make a racecar before its street version like Ford or BMW. I really hope GTE's won't end up like GT1.
That matchup will be a joke. Valkyrie is a totally new class of car. Project one would be a competitor with the two in this video. The valkyrie has all of the aero stuff on it they wish they could do in F1 and all the things they also wish to do in LMP, and an engine either wish they could have. At around the same weight. That valkyrie will be unlike anything including dedicated non-production racecars (with the right set of tires) Additionally with a bit of tinkering, that valkyrie engine can probably produce significantly more power. The power levels were dictated with road car reliability in mind.

Well both manufacturers do have other models that are in race series. Aston has been in many long distance races for quite some years now - right now they are offering the Vantage for the GTE series . McLaren is offering the 650S GT3 as well as having their their fingers inside racing for a very long time - they essentially is derived from the race car world. Track day cars are made for exactly what is says Track Days - no real restrictions granting everybody a chance to feel like a racedriver for a day or two, then take the car back to the garage without having the need for whole and fully engaged race team to do the thing.
Well I would assume that you talk about GT3 and to convert a road car to a GT3 car you have to produce them for a certain amount (I don't really know how many but more than 24)

Brake pads used in racing have a minimum operating temperature usually starting around ~400C. If they're not warmed up they will squeak like that. If you ever attend a track event it's not uncommon to hear cars with squeaky brakes due to really aggressive pads.
No problem. The reason you won't hear brakes squeak like this in your regular day to day commute is because of engineering targets when designing cars. I'm personally not a mechanical engineer, though I do know people who have worked at Honda, Mazda, Fisker, etc. doing various things like chassis engineering or brake design. A big factor in your standard consumer vehicle (super cars included) is NVH. NVH stands for Noise, Vibration, and Harshness. As an avid track enthusiast, I can tell you that many different pad compounds will give brakes a different feel from the pedal as well as varying degrees of noise and it's something you have to weigh when choosing the pad you like the best. The initial bite, the progression, the fade characteristics, etc. My personal favorite is the Porterfield R4-S as it's a good mix between daily use and weekend warrior. Race compounds I've used include Hawk Blacks, Project Mu Racing N+, and Porterfield R4. They were all excellent pads, but outside the scope of what I needed for my own vehicle.
It doesn't take a supercar to make that sort of noise. Pretty much any good performance oriented brake setup squeak till they warm up. I have an inexpensive car with upgraded track brakes, and an expensive one with brembo brakes. they both squeal for the first mile or two.
The noises coming from the Vulcan are amazing., the shifting, down shifting, and the exhaust note combined with the way it looks makes it an absolute work of art.

The Vulcan is so incredibly charming. It’s ferocious and sounds amazing. Even if you’re comparing numbers, it takes the damn pie.
The Mclaren P1 is incredible but the Vulcan just gives you that "....OH MY" vibes/feelings. Such a gorgeous car.

The Vulcan is hot but the P1 has been my favorite production car since its release, the P1 GTR is just more track focused

The Pagani Zonda R seemed even more radical when they released it. Both of these beauties fit in well if you saw them on the street, but the Zonda really looked like a Batmobile and out of this world...

16:00-16:24 to me is what mafe the episode I love the shot with both cars going into the apex of the turn seeing both pair of tail lights and the music made it sound brilliant
