    Wow, I could use that rain!!! Almost lost some of my blueberry bushes. My raspberries and blackberries are finally producing enough to provide daily nutrients without going to the store. Thanks for posting the recipes. I finally have my own binder but it's always good to have confirmation of successful glazes.

    Love this video - as always your first views are sometimes priceless! I really enjoy the fact that you are still experimenting with different glaze combinations and applications. AND thanks again for sharing your recipes - I have used several so far and love them!

    Seems there is a fair number of potters in Nova Scotia, right? Must be the winter months that people don’t mind running kilns to keep the house warm.

    Wow-wee - Lots of cool pieces/colors! - I wonder if any of the bakery staff have their own personal ‘best of’” collections of your mugs, since they’re the first to see them? Thank you for your continued generosity in sharing your work with us :)

      The staff there get all the seconds, I carry a box there when I get enough to go around without any one missing out. They really appreciate them.

    I’m a newbie potter who loves a more matte finish. Only kiln available is electric so no gas experimentation for me 😢. Really enjoy seeing all your vids, always learn something or many things watching.

    is that gas kiln manual control or do it have automatic firing schedule it can follow? and ty for the recipes im going to try some of those out. :)

    Really like your works being glazed in and outside especially the flat bottom which I do not see commonly. I am attached to a shared studio with a shared firing schedule planned by the owner. So my Tenmoku glaze always came out darkish brown and no 'gold' pots at all...I assume your kiln firing was a slow cool range with any soaked before/after? Appreciate your advise. Thank you.

    • @Vsmithpots
      @Vsmithpots  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The slower you cool the kiln the more gold flecks appear.

    Hi, I've been watching you for some time, although this is the first I've asked a question. First let me say, I love your work. I was wondering what kind of wire do you use to make your stilts with? And would it be the same kind for cone 10?

    • @Vsmithpots
      @Vsmithpots  ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot use stilts at cone 10.

    what is the beautiful red glaze used to do the slip trailing ?

    • @Vsmithpots

      It is cranberry/rasberry in Ron Roys and John hesselberth book Cone 6 Glazes.

  • @____Ann____

    Beautiful results! Again!
    The oatmeal you put on top of the others (for example at 12:55) is it the first recipe (2:25) or the second (2:29)? Is it the same oatmeal that turns that purple pink at 9:15. That is such a nice combo of colors!

    • @Vsmithpots
      @Vsmithpots  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is the one called oatmeal lizard, it uses Tin Oxide which is why it is so good.
