It might be kind of expensive, but you could just buy sashimi from your local sushi restaurant! Otherwise, if you have a nearby fish market, you could call them!
It made me cringe. Like, hard. This feels like a super Americanized recipe too, which is pretty problematic when you consider how Hawaii became a state LOL
Then don't label what's being offered as Hawaiian-inspired "poke bowl." What's being offered here is akin to comparing a cat/feline to a whale/cetacean. Only similarity is both are mammals...Nothing else!
This looks great! The only problem I have is finding the seaweed salad. I can never find the one that's in the video / the one that restaurants use. I heard that these are premade and sold in bulk to stores and restaurants, but if anyone knows where to find it, I would be grateful!
Just watched your video and they look amazing.I"ve always wanted to give poke bowls a try and will certainly give you my feedback. Thanks for sharing .God bless you. This makes life so much easier.
I would love to make the Hawaiian Poke Bowl😍💖 but they all look amazing😍💕 so I'm going to have to make them all!! I love your videos!! Thank you for the inspiration 😍💖
Sorry but this is not the authentic Hawaiian poke bowl. Too many ingredients. The authentic one has rice and the marinated fish. Sometimes there's furikake sprinkled on the rice and there are so many variations of fish. No veggies or any of those garnishes.
rockerkittie1 then she should change the title of her vid. If you’re gonna teach me how to make a poke bowl, then it better be a poke bowl and not this garbage.
Thanks for this girl! I love that you not only gave 3 recipes, but especially the other sauce/veggie/protein options because I am a picky eater. Will be trying this soon! I'm just not sure where to get the salmon/tuna that's safe for eating raw. Help?
you must eat it the day you made it, the bowl loses its flavor and texture, plus you can get sick and sit on your toilet for hours. more so if the fish aint fresh,
You know that meme with the girl like “It’s PO-KEHHHH” all freaking out and stuff. And the the little white cat is like “pokee”. I’m feeling that meme right now.
Hello Cookery If your poke bowl contains raw fish, it needs to be eaten within about 18 hours of unfreezing the fish or 24 hours after pulling the fish out of the water if you caught it yourself. If your bowl contains only tofu or other non-raw fish ingredients, they could probably last 2 - 3 days. However avocado will start to brown and take on an unpleasant texture within about 12 hours of cutting.
Does the tuna and salmon bites taste fishy after the marinade or is the taste not as intense like a ceviche after the fish is marinated in lemon? Just curious cuz I don't really like fishy tastes but this look super delicious.
Yum! These poke bowls look amazing! Can't wait to make one soon! I think I'll start with the Hawaiian one! Thanks for yet another great video! I love your recipes!
For anyone gluten free watching, soba noodles contain 10-20% buckwheat and the rest is wheat flour unless you get a gourmet brand that is fully buckwheat. I'm just warning anyone with celiac disease or a wheat allergy.

All of these looked fabulous, and the best part is that they are all very healthy! All the basic food groups can be put into these poke bowls so it seems the possibilities are endless. And for those wondering about where to get sushi grade fish, your best bet is going to an Asian market or to a specialty store that carries it, such as Whole Foods Market.
Agreed as well born here and part hawaiian Honestly like this is NOT he way to make it It's really just marinated in sauce and you can add a few things but NOT THIS MUCH STUFF it's more simple-
I honestly never heard of sushi grade fish, it can be raw fish from any grocery store. We usually just mix salt and fresh dill together and put it all over raw salmon and leave it in a fridge for 6-8 hours, then wash the salt off under the running cold water.
Most seafood shops or markets will have it. Sushi grade fish meant it's been flash frozen following certain guidelines in order to kill parasitic worms in the fish.
It is actually called "sashimi grade". And yes it does exist. It means it was caught in an area of the ocean that (as far as we know) is not subject to a bacterial outbreak and it means it has only been unfrozen out of the ocean for less than 24 hours. I know you can buy it at Whole Foods, Fresh Market, most Sprouts and some people here are saying Aldis and Trader Joes but I can't confirm that. Basically any of the "high end" grocery stores should have it.
I feel healthier after watching this, thank you !
Yes I love Pokeballs too.
I choose you Pikachu.
Santiago Ordaz 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I made them , and GOSH ITS SO GOOD! I added mango on them and it’s rlly good! I used the HAWAIIAN one!
where can you find sushi grade salmon and tuna? I cant seem to find it anywhere....
same, I never bought any before so I don't want to buy the wrong kind for eating raw lol
Fit And Happy playlist any wild caught salmon or tuna works. That's what I buy and you just thaw it out and cut it thinly.
Same question! I live in Toronto as well so any specific suggestions would be great!
It might be kind of expensive, but you could just buy sashimi from your local sushi restaurant! Otherwise, if you have a nearby fish market, you could call them!
Lex Camara if you're in Toronto, the best price I found was at t and t. It's frozen in the open top freezers.
These all look amazing!!
lol she talks about pronouncing "poke´" correctly and calls "jalapeño" (ha-la-peeno)

Hahaha! I noticed that too.
Also "soya sauce "
And sirracha. Hahaha.
All good though. :)
Great presentation, informative, colorfull, no time waisted, just love it!
After 20 ingredients I spent $40 for 1 "pokeh" bowl , I'm gonna go to a freakin restaurant next time and save 3 hours and $30

That tofu one looks delicious
I can't pick just one...all 3 look deliciously gorgeous.
I want to try the California bowl. I have never tried kimchi and heard how good it is. What else do you put kimchi on?
I eat plant based but would totally do all three using tofu. Yum. Quite inspired for tomorrow. :)
From the looks of it. I think I'll make the Hawaiian Poke Bowl, although they all look so good. Thanks for sharing your recipes.
Can you make different smoothie/acai bowls next? :)

I only discovered poke bowl last year. I’m usually late for everything but I’m sure it’s pretty new in the UK (or I really am just late to the party).
Great! What do you use to cut/shred the carrots?

kimchi is korean food.
전소연 and poké bowl is hawaiian but it is a nice mix.

The best sauce for me is eel sauce. Other is either sriracha mayo or yum yum sauce.
