it is always sooo great to see someone seeing for the first time Dynamite live!!! thanks.. and then, you also chose EVIL!!! hahahahaha
Now you know why Minho was literally voted best abs in Asia and was named one of the 12 hottest men in the world by Vogue magazine in the U.S. in 2015. He really won a real award for his abs. This performance of "Dynamite" in particular -- which is from their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul from 2015 -- is super iconic. (And just so you know, he can't put his shirt back on because it would take too much time and effort and they aren't done with this set, they go right into their next song after this. So, Minho finishes the set with just his jacket on and one button holding it closed.)
And, why would we warn you? What's the fun in that? It would totally ruin your reaction because then you would know something is coming and you would anticipate it. The reason why we don't tell you is because we want you to discover SHINee the same way we saw them the first time we watched it. LOL If we warn you that would be like giving the punchline before we tell the joke or spoiling the end of the movie.
Minho really wasn't supposed to take his shirt all the way off. If you see any other performance of this song, you will see that all he does is unbutton his shirt, but during this performance he got so swept up in the moment that he just took his shirt all the way off. Which even shocked the other members.
However, Minho has explained that his trainer kind of egged him on saying it was a shame that people really couldn't see his hard work because his shirt and jacket covered so much of his muscles up. I mean, Minho was on a really strict diet for months prior to this and he had an intense workout regimen he had to follow in order to get to this point, so his trainer wanted him to show off all his hard work. And being the competitive person that Minho is, to satisfy his trainers teasing, he decided at that moment to just take his shirt all the way off so everyone could see his back muscles, etc.
The thing about Minho is, although he does have to work to maintain his abs, it's not that hard for him because he is an athlete. He says these days he goes to the gym a couple of times a day to work out just because he likes working out. But he is also crazy about soccer, and he plays basketball, baseball and golf, and he is good at track and field events, etc, so really his body is the product of all the sports he enjoys playing as well. Minho's father is a professional minor league soccer coach/manager for a living, so Minho got his love of soccer and sports from his dad.
And not only does Minho enjoy playing sports, but he is usually the best athlete on the field and he pretty much wins every time. There is a reason why Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma" -- his intense passion for sports and his need to always win makes it almost impossible to beat him in any competition. His drive to be the best is so well known in the industry that everyone wants him on their team.
But if you saw all the SHINee members without their shirts on, you would discover they all have amazing bodies, even Onew, who is the "old man" of the group and never shows off his body because he doesn't want to have to put any extra effort into it. But I guarantee, they all have amazing physiques. You probably will never see Onew without his shirt on, he is the only member who has never done anything on camera that would require him to take his shirt off or to show off his abs. However, the members have said that Onew has "monster abs," which means he is really ripped just like the rest of the members. Although he is too modest to ever show his body off in public. Even when he has been swimming on TV programs, he wears a shirt, wetsuit or rash guard. However, there is a clip of Jonghyun doing pull ups in the gym without his shirt on that would blow you away if you saw it. When you think about it, they all have to be that fit in order to be able to do all that they do. To be able to sing and sound flawless while performing the choreography that they do, and to do it for hours straight, makes it so they are required to stay in shape. SHINee are known for the fact that they always sing live, so they have to be in top shape in order to dance like that while maintaining stable vocals the whole time. If you watch a full concert, you will soon see that they can dance this intensely for 4 or 5 songs in a row and never sound out of tune, and then hold a conversation with the audience imminently after, and they still won't sound out of breath.
Don’t worry.. Jonghyun was not prepared for that Minho in Dynamite too.. 🤣🤣🤣 There is a fancam of Jjong somewhere mouth open, shocked.. ofc milliseconds before he slayed his high note. 😀😀

What you just experienced with SHINee's "Evil" performance is why they are referred to as CDnee or CD-eaters because SHINee live is 300 times better than their studio recordings. SHINee live is on a whole other level. This performance at SHINee's SHINee World Concert III (SWC3) in Seoul in 2014, just proves why they are legends.
And this was only the opening set of songs, just imagine what the whole concert was like. Right before "Evil" they perform their song "Spoiler" and then after this, without even pausing, they perform "Nightmare," "Juliette" and then "Lucifer." And when they interact with the audience immediately after they don't even sound out of breath.
They are icons for a reason and they have been doing it to that high of standard since debut. Even when SHINee were rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee rehearse on music programs because no one was singing live and pulling off extremely complex choreography flawlessly the way SHINee was doing it. SHINee sets the standard every time they step on stage and other artists are just trying to keep up.
They are Idols' Idols and legends among legends. If you ask almost anyone in the industry today why they wanted to become a singer or dancer or what groups or artists they look up to, they will probably put SHINee in their top 3 or higher.
Fun fact: SHINee were actually blind during that part of their "Evil" performance. I saw some behind the scenes footage once from a documentary of one of SHINee's concerts where a backup dancer or staff member actually took the blindfold and held it up to a light in front of the camera to show us that you can't see through it. SHINee are just that good, that they make it look like being blindfolded and dancing in sync is easy. :D
If you haven't ever had the chance, you should really check out this full concert sometime. You will be even more floored when you see a full concert from beginning to end. They only get more impressive as the concert goes on. Their vocal quality never wavers and they maintain this same energy and stamina from beginning to end.

LMBOOOOOOOO. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REACTION AND LOVED THE CALL-OUT. 😂😂😂 For Evil, there’s another amazing performance that I questioned which to select, but I really love the dynamics of the choreo in this performance. I’ll send the link to the other one on IG.
I’m torn regarding Married to the Music… the MV is AMAZING and a classic, so I kinda want you to watch it, but the incredible choreography is shown with the performance video. Would it be too much to request both?

Married to the Music is also kind of unsafe for kids, because the MV is in funny horror genre. There will be some eyeballs rolling on the floor etc. Nothing serious, but kids may not like it. Your Number is very cute and safe for kids to watch though :)
Given that you're really noticing Key I kinda want you to watch "Born To Shine" now lol but maybe it's good to give you a bit of a break before hitting you with another whammy like that lmao. But yea the second video is from the shinee world 3 concert the first was from shinee world 4! Shinee world 3 had kind of a darker start which included evil and those super cool contacts it was awesome.
