When an artist goes outside his comfort zone, that’s when his journey of a creative artist begins. You could have done your usual melodious ballads and got a million views. But you took a bold step. Experimenting folk song with metal.
The video is very subjective. I feel that it’s a journey of a human being who reaches a point in his life when he thinks of his past. That’s why it’s in reverse, we all remember how many have died in this world, the Alexanders and the Budshahs. We all want to go back, but we can’t.
I hope you continue to take bold steps with your music. But one thing that I feel is becoming a trend. Everyone’s trying remakes of our old folk songs. But nobody is writing new songs. That’s where Kashmiri artists need to step up.

I didn't grow up listening to much Kashmiri songs and I thought for all artists the music was all folk. Yawar, I must say, listening to your songs. I am proud of you and happy that someone proved me wrong. Your voice is perfect. I spent the entire week listening to Chani Bartal and Tamanna. I wish I had found these earlier. I made all my friends and even those who don't understand Kashmiri listen to these songs. Perfect!

But I have a question for my Kashmiri brothers from India. Is live really that tough there? Being from mainland India, I am constantly fed with contrasting views. I wanna know what is the ground reality there. Is there suffering and pain there. I've never been to Kashmir, and I feel even if I be there, I might not know the real situation. What's life there? And do you guys want freedom from India? I believe everyone has a right to live their life as they want and no country has a right to curb that.
