If you're a guest character, Raphael is there. I guess you could call that filler, but Raphael is simply the one who is there for the sake of continuity.
I get that both "had enough" phrases mean different things, but I also get why people jump on this dialogue. In the Japanese version of the scene, Taki says something like "You don't give up, do you?" which makes the dialogue flow at least a little better, I would say.

But just as Nightmare was about to finish off Raphael, he froze as Siegfried had a mental battle for control over his body. This gave Raphael to stab the eye of Soul Edge, finally freeing Siegfried from Nightmare’s control. Suddenly Soul Calibur appeared in the form of a Zweihander. Siegfried took the sword and stabbed Soul Edge, destroying it once again.

Inferno ( the will of Soul Edge ) escaped and nested inside the remains of Nightmare's armor while the two soul swords merged with one another and created the Embrace Of Souls/ Soul Embrace. It was Zasalamel who warped Siegfried's mind and allowed him to defeat Inferno in a mental struggle and regain control of his body and it was also him who gave Inferno a physical form afterwards, turning him into the second ( and most popular ) Nightmare.
Like how there would be Rival fights in Street Fighter IV? I completely agree. I couldn’t imagine how great these destined battles would look in 2019 graphics.
It's obviously not the same, but somewhere around Soul Calibur IV-Soul Calibur V I started to write what I would do if I created my own Soul Calibur game (one of the Soul Calibur wikis allows you to create fanon pages), and one of the things I did was bring back Destined Battles (and even wrote who would fight who) - the game is supposed to be set after SCIV, ignoring everything that comes after it.

Soul Calibur III continues with specific, story-related final battles for each character, and Soul Calibur IV did the same, in which EVERY single fight on story mode was specific to that character (featuring unique match ups and dialogue). Soul Calibur V, having been stuck in Limbo for so long was a rather hollowed out version of the game it was meant to be, so Story Mode chose your characters for you, but even so, each character had a SPECIFIC destined battle on Arcade Mode, which they would face before the final fight with Nightmare, includong Create A Soul characters (who would all face Aeon as their destined battle). Soul Calibur VI once again haha independent story modes for characters, which will feature specifically selected opponents throughout.

can we just appreciate the facial expressions for the destined battles to? Notice how most of the characters look angry but a few (like talim) show different emotions like sadness. Definitely a subtle detail i dont see talked about

He beat Nightmare and almost became the next wielder. But it was a pyrrhic victory for him. His blood was infected by Soul Edge's dark power. When he recovered from his wounds, he became malfested in a way that mimicked vampirism.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m starring as Hong Yun-Seong in Soul Calibur the Movie. Although, I’m not gonna lie, seeing Hong Yun-Seong and Talim or Seong-Mina fight each other in the Destined Battle really brings tears to my eyes.
I think it would've been cool if the final chapter for each character would be actually animated, though I understand they were really suffering budget wise

If this game was on Switch with rollback, it would’ve been THE definitive version of the game. But even without rollback, it still would’ve been the best version due to having the entire roster.
He's referring to Voldo's master, the Merchant of Death: Vercci. Vercci was a weapons dealer who I *think* is dead, and Voldo believes his master still wants Soul Edge, and along with it, more souls Yoshimitsu calls bluff to this, finding a man who deals in the souls of men to be absurd

For those of you who don’t know, I’m starring as Hong Yun-Seong in Soul Calibur the Movie. Although, I’m not gonna lie, seeing Hong Yun-Seong and Talim or Seong-Mina fight each other in the Destined Battle really brings tears to my eyes.
Sc6 would’ve been sick with an actual rival cutscene Atleast one for that instead of the picture story
I think it would've been cool if the final chapter for each character would be actually animated, though I understand they were really suffering budget wise
@@TheRealIconG i know but still something! its sad how little faith they have it in though they messed up with 5 but the series shouldnt die because of that I mean they shoudove known better though. they dont advertise it at all its not as much known as other games. They give way to much attention to tekken giving jt way more stuff dlc and even a story its nit even in full English sc is so much better to me and way easier to pick up while still having a skill gap. 6 sold well I heard so hopefully they go all out in 7 it may be the last one unfortunately
@@mrthanos8140 Yeah, Bamco doesn't treat SoulCalibur well. They expect it to do as good as Tekken when that's just not gonna happen, it's forever the little brother
Hopefully with how well financially and critically SC6 did, they'll be willing to give Project Soul a bigger budget and more time

Can’t Mitsurugi and Taki just f**k and get it over with? I mean with the destined battle in Soul Calibur 2 and Taki and Mitsurugi always appearing at each other endings in Soul Calibur 3, these two clearly have a thing for one another.

If this game was on Switch with rollback, it would’ve been THE definitive version of the game. But even without rollback, it still would’ve been the best version due to having the entire roster.

Assassin, Berserker and Lizardman aren't playable in Arcade mode.
Because their "Clone" or "Generalized" characters as in they have no story to actually MAKE a destined battle based on them

He's referring to Voldo's master, the Merchant of Death: Vercci. Vercci was a weapons dealer who I *think* is dead, and Voldo believes his master still wants Soul Edge, and along with it, more souls
Yoshimitsu calls bluff to this, finding a man who deals in the souls of men to be absurd

Soul Calibur 2 english dub had very good voice acting than SCIII And SCIV, If only they bring it back in the HD Remastered collection
Except Kilik and Taki and some others or they just need a better dialogue like Kilik straight up hurts my brain
