Would you mind telling me how much the bike weighs and how much the total cost was for bike + upgrades/parts?
Hi Henry, We haven’t check the weight after all the upgrade but we will get back to you on that, regarding the cost, upgrade cost more than the bike.

I recently got a CHPT3 and was asking just to work out what are very essential upgrades that would actually make a difference in weight and better ride.
I am not intending to completely modify the bike as I think it would defeat the purpose of getting a CHPT3.
Although I really enjoy seeing what you guys come up with.

I love the upgrades that you have made. I especially like the colour, navy blue and black. In my opinion, it is better than Brompton's own black version.

Beautiful! Will the DT Swiss gear shifter conversion work on my M6L? I really want to swap out the plastic shifters as they aren’t super comfortable.
We havent try it for internal gears, but DT Swiss just function so well with external plus the build quality is just amazingly good!

Excellent video and upgrades! Outstanding bike! How would you do the reverse and convert a 2-speed Brompton to a 1-speed? Brompton has apparently discontinued production of single speed bikes. So, the only way to get the same simplicity and minimal maintenance is through conversion. Thanks for sharing your videos!
You are so kind Tanya, we are happy that we inspire you somehow, to convert it to single speed, you will only need some cogs spacers then remove the shifters, we haven’t tried it but any questions just give us a buzz!
Great video!!! Did you have to use a spacer for the minimods cog on the JK carbon rim? Or just the 1.8mm cirlip? Mine wobbles a bit
Hi Ferry, it really depends on the wheelset or the hub, spacers will be available and you will have to do a bit of a trial and error on which one works for you. THANKS man!

Am I dreaming, or are those tires beefier than normal? I’m desperately seeking a way to modify my Brompton to accommodate the cobble boulders here in my small Mexican village. I need better suspension and fatter tires. And suggestions?
It’s the normal marathon racer, which is pretty good already, you can try using marathon racer plus.

Thanks Fredrick! yeah you can use 6 speed wheelset to your A line but you need to add the rear derailleur assembly and chain pusher as well for the external cogs to work.
Hi, can dt swiss shifter be use for both side? And is it suitbale for stock internal gearing system?
To be honest, we only did try the DT swiss for external gearing only, this is something we would like to try, I’ll update what’s the result.

what difference in gearing does this 3-speed offers as compared to the original 2?
Extra 17T cogs provide you more relax pedaling going uphill

To be honest we haven't tried, for rolling while folded I think having a rack will be better.
Tempest Blue is my all time favourite Brompton colour, too bad it's no longer available for 2022, got a House Red instead.

With Black as the base, I think it will look good with any combination, it will only comes with the owners preference.

So many changes that is not a Brompton anymore, it’s pretty but is not a Brompton any more.
Thanks, changing the rims of my Toyota Corolla doesn't make it a BMW, it is still a Brompton - just better - removing the parts that became rusty for some time making it more suited for the type of ride that the rider uses it for is the main goal.
There's a saying from the days of wooden sailings ships that a vessel in which virtually every bit of wood has been replaced remains the same ship. Perhaps that is true of bicycles.
